About this apartment rental
Our beachfront condo with its own private beach on Puerto Vallarta's famous Playa Los Muertos. This spacious 1,200 sq. ft. condo has two bedrooms, two king beds, and two full baths (walk-in shower/no tub). Kitchen has microwave, toaster, blender, and coffee maker. Nicely furnished, including cable television in living room and master bedroom, washer and dryer, air conditioned (updated with mini-splits as of 12 July 2017), and ceiling fans throughout. Swimming pool is just steps from this first-floor unit's covered patio. Blue Chairs Beach Resort, Mantamar Beach Club, and Sapphire Ocean Club are all nearby. Many restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance. Gated entry with reception desk 24/7.
The view from Playa Bonita condo building is over Banderas Bay. At 27 miles across, it is the second widest bay in the world. The calm, clear waters provide the perfect backdrop to stunning sunsets that you can see from our patio. December thru March, the bay is home to the spectacular humpback whale. Be sure to schedule a whale watching tour on the bay.
Between June and December, Olive Ridley turtles lay their eggs on the beach. You might be lucky enough to witness baby turtles hatching and making their way to the sea.

We cannot wait to enjoy this property again. Condo is decorated beautiful and has everything you need. Loved walking right out to the pool or across to the beach. Great beach club at the end of the block. Taxi always outside to catch a 5 min ride into town if you choose not to walk. Front desk staff always friendly and helpful very safe location and building for 3 women

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Marshall's wonderful condo! The condo is very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The private patio just off the pool area was especially nice for early morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The building is very secure with a 24 hour attended front desk and id required to be "buzzed in" at the door. The beach is just a few steps away with a private area for guests staying in the condo building. It was nice to always have a palapa and a comfy chair to relax in any time we wanted to! It was just a short walk to the Malecon and Old Town. Taxis and Ubers were readily available, as well. The representative from the property management company was very kind and professional and made check-in and check-out a breeze. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

As described but there is a view of the ocean from the patio that is better than the pictures and the value of the private beach alone is totally worth it alone. Felt very safe/secure. Friendly staff at front desk. Lively and vibrant neighborhood.

We stayed for 9 nights in this condo. It was our first time being in PV. The condo was in great condition. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The check in process was very easy. The condo was just as described. It was a great set for our family, and it would also be great for 2 couples traveling together. The pool was right off the patio. It was clean and refreshing. It is shady in the morning and then gets the afternoon sun. There is a private beach area with chairs and palapas. This was amazing. It was nice to be away from the crowds on the public beach. Marshall was fantastic to work with. He had quick responses to any questions and was ver accommodating. We would love to stay here again!!

Puerto Vallarta's romantic zone is hilly with steep cobblestone roads, tons of restaurants and shopping. Very adorable. Marshall's condo is steps from the sand. Essential if you don't want to take taxis everywhere. We walked along the beach for about 5 minutes and connected with the Malecon. Perfect! The neighborhood is very LGBT friendly, so if you are bothered by that, you would not like it. The staff in the condo office were very kind. Marshall is a seasoned host and he knows what he's doing. The amenities in the condo worked great and it even had a washer dryer. All this with an ocean view!

The unit was clean. The property is old and dated. the area is at the south end of town which has mostly gay men. I guess that's what the "romantic zone" means.

My sister and I came to Vallarta for a quick trip. We love this area and the condo did not disappoint. Convenient location and spacious, quiet and comfortable condo made our trip. We’re will definitely plan to stay here again.

Few updates needed. Terrible time trying to lock gate coming and going. The shower in the one bedroom would not drain properly, the fan in the other bedroom was very noisy, the pillows on the beds need washing. The beds were a bit lumpy. We were under the impression that you would walk out of the condo onto the beach but it was across a street. The location was definitely close to restaurants, etc. the young fellow at the front desk was very sweet, nice and helpful. Easy access to get a taxi.

I love this property; from the moment you arrive you have everything that you might need, and it feels like home. What is so wonderful is that this property is so close to all attractions. My next visit to PV I will definitely return and stay in this terrific place.

What a great unit with two great master bedrooms, and two master bathroom, well equipped for us in our friends. We were greeted at the desk. They took re pictures and gave us our keys to the unit. It was well stocked. Having a water dispenser was a awesome factor.
Marshall the owner was always just a email away for anything we needed.
It was great being able to walk out the patio to the pool, which was well maintained and heated.
Linens and bedding were great and was so happy to have a washer and dryer in the unit which we happily left our supplies for the maid and futures to use.
We lost we’re able to book some massages in our condo which was great.
Cannot wait til a return visit.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Playa Bonita, in 3 different condos, I have always been intrigued by this ground floor unit with pool access and it did not disappoint:) we had an amazing time just relaxing on our patio, the condo itself is very well appointed, it had all the comforts of home, and it looks like it has been recently updated and it is one of the nicest rentals we have stayed in.
The staff at the condo is amazing and very helpful.
We will definitely be back, hopefully soon :)

This is our third consecutive year staying at this condo. The condo is just as described. It is well maintained. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. We love the location because it is across the street from the beach on Banderas Bay. A great store is an easy work from the condo. Though it is small it is well stocked with everything from wine and liquor to fresh fruits and mufins and many food items and fresh made daily food items. Many fine restaurants are within walking distance as well as entertainment venues and fun bars/restaurants in the downtown area. The beautiful Mosaic Park offers a large market with many vendors offering a variety of items to purchase and makes for a fun Saturday outing. The Malecon is fun to walk and offers a variety of stores, restaurants, and more. The condo is in an area that is very active and music, etc. can be heard from noon until late at night but it doesn't bother us.
An additional plus to this property is the owner, Marshall. He is friendly and easy to deal with and quickly responds to any questions or concerns.

We have rented here multiple years. Perfect location for beaches. Restaurants, shopping and adventure. The condo is well equipped and the on site staff is top notch. Nice pool and patio and there is also a private ocean front beach if you choose some solitude. The owner is responsive to any questions or issues should they arise. Although all of the prices for rental are rising in PV this property is still an affordable option. We plan on going back.

This was an awesome place to spend our holiday. The condo had everything we could have asked for. It was nice for each of the 2 couples to have their own bedroom and adjoining bathroom. All the staff working there were extremely helpful and friendly. There is a small grocery store just a 5 minutes walk away that had everything we needed and wanted and many quaint restaurants in the area as well. It was so nice that we could walk out onto our patio and be in the pool area. An excellent place to stay.

The staff and owner are great people. Very nice and took good care of us. This is location, location, location. Close to everything the beach, restaurants and walking distance to all. Room opens right out to the pool. The washer and dryer are also an extra bonus!!!

Very convenient location in Zona Romantica, with easy access to the beach and boardwalk area along the coastline, where there is easy access to many different dining options. Older part of town, so quaint cobblestone streets may be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. Unit is on the ground floor with pool right outside of unit. Owner very responsive and staff extremely friendly. Unit itself is well maintained. Used Uber to get anywhere we could not walk; very easy and convenient.

Great As Usual
We've stayed at Marshall's property before. We'll stay there again. We've been to Puerto Vallarta 6 times and we think Playa Bonita is the best place to stay. It suits us perfectly, being in the historic Zona Romantica, on Playa Los Muertos. The staff on-site are incredibly friendly and helpful. The very LGBT-friendly beach is literally spitting distance. This area is more adult oriented. Drinks are served and adults are there having fun. We were approached often by vendors selling everything from hats and food to massages to pot. Might not be the best "family friendly" environment but this is not a Disney cruise. We've brought our teenagers and felt is was fine. Your call.
The pool is clean, quiet, and the perfect remedy to a hot, humid afternoon. The units higher up are nice because of the gorgeous panoramic sea views.
Marshall's unit doesn't have that view but is nice because there is a private deck that walks right out onto the rarely used pool patio. The unit has been spotlessly clean each time we've rented it. It's also nice there a/c not only in the bedrooms but in the living area as well. The beds are comfortable and on the firm side. The unit comes with a 5 (?) gallon filtered water jug which the front desk will resupply. We'd like to ask Marshall to stock up the kitchen a bit more by including items such as paper towels and plastic cups we'd be able to bring to the pool (there was only1), though not a major inconvenience.
We had an issue with the safe combination. Marshall was there within an hour to override the code and open it up for us. We appreciated that. As I mentioned earlier, we'll certainly check to ensure Marshall's unit is available the next time we visit PVR.

Wonderful visit to PV
We had a great visit to Puerto Vallarta and this condo. It was perfect for our family of two parents and two teens. We loved that the pool is right outside the patio - it felt like we had our own private pool at times. We felt like we used the pool a lot more than if we had not been right next to it. The beach across the street was great, and it was nice that there were chairs and palapas for us to use each day. We liked the location that we could walk to multiple restaurants, shops, and the Malecon. One of the highlights of our trip was hiring a boat and captain for the day to take us south along to coast to multiple snorkel spots and secluded beaches ending up in Yelapa. The other highlight was the day we went to Ocean Grill for lunch. You have to take a boat to get to it. Beautiful location and excellent food. Great family vacation and loved the condo!!

Excellent condo location
Our stay was amazing. The condo was nicely decorated and clean. We loved the pool area directly off the patio. Condo is a short distance from the beach. We could not open the safe upon arrival. Marshall, the owner, quickly responded to our concern and stopped by to take care of the issue right away. The front desk personnel were there 24 hrs a day. They were very friendly and helpful answering questions. We will definitely stay again and tell our friends.
