Large 2-level south deck overlooking 300 yards of the river with spectacular view of 100-ft Ponderosa pines, mixed with spruce and fir. Located in the Historic Upper Canyon, this 2-bedroom, 2-bath cabin sleeps 6-8: 1 king, 2 queen, and 1 double sofabed. Features include: Wood-burning fireplace, central heat, washer and dryer, local telephone, 3 TVs (satellite), DVD, microwave, coffeemaker, hand mixer, toaster, CrockPot, BBQ propane gas grill, and 3 car parking. Wildlife sightings: Deer, small animals, and birds, almost certain. Black bear and elk possible but not guaranteed. The base rate includes local tax. Bookings of 7 or more nights , Owner will pay local tax as a discount

We really enjoyed the stay. The cabin was clean, location was great, and it was very roomy. It was so nice being so close to the river. Would definitely stay again.

Our little family loved this cute cabin! It has been renovated since the pictures listed so that was a nice treat. We loved seeing all of the wildlife (deer, turkeys, and horses!). The river view was just gorgeous! We had a user error with the shower but the owner was QUICK to respond. We will be back! This is such a gem!

Amazing river view but the cabin needs a lot of improvement in cleanliness. You can tell the maid doesn't move anything to clean, I'm not even talking about furniture, but behind the trash cans, the window sills, the stove, the oven, the microwave were fealty!! but the worst part were the beds, they had smelly sheets and pillows, even the blanket we got from the closet was dirty, we have to go to walmart to get us something new. Also there's a huge window in the kitchen with no blinds. The view was awesome but that should be optional, since we had no Privacy and the kitchen felt cold.

Our family comes to Ruidoso in October every year. We love the location of this cabin. It has a beautiful view of the river sitting on the back patio. We will definitely plan to stay here again!

The deck on the river sells it. The house is fine, nice floor plan, older decor, nice to have a washer/dryer, the kitchen table is great for games, the family room is nice with a great picture window view out the back,tvs need updating but that’s not really why you are here. The deck on the river is the sweet spot. It’s a nice rental with a wonderful view.

The house was very comfortable. Barbara stopped by to say hi and make sure everything was okay was very peaceful even with the coral of motorcyclist’s that were in ruidoso. Deck was absolutely beautiful. All in all was a great weekend getaway!!

This property was AMAZING!!!! I cannot say enough about the view from the back porch. It was so relaxing and peaceful. We got so spoiled by this view, that this will be the only place we stay at in Ruidoso. We can not wait to visit again!!

This is the second time that we stay here. I was a bit disappointed by the way the rental was, not very clean but I cleaned up with what cleaning supplies were there. I would go back if I knew that the place will be clean. We did have fun watching the deer come by and the fireplace on it was relaxing.

This is our second visit and the owners excel in making your visit superb. I had the opportunity to talk first hand with Barb prior to last years visit. The location to town makes this rental a prime choice but the best are the animals - /wildlife you can view as you sit on the newer deck. The house rests on at least a half to full acre giving you the experience of the woods without houses crammed together. The price is a great plus too. Definitely consider this home you won’t regret it!!!

We loved staying here. The river in the backyard is great and serene. The cabin is cozy and spacious. It was well equipped and it even had a wood burning fireplace. The location is also close to everything, but just away to not feel in the middle of all the action.

We have stayed here twice already and I love that it feels safe and cozy oh and having a creek on backyard is breathtaking you can hear it and see it by being out on the deck. It is relaxing and perfect for our family.

Check-in process was easy and accurate. Location is very convenient. Surroundings are relaxing and scenic. Interior is not clean at all. Bathrooms are very old and outdated. Showers and tubs need to be disinfected and completely replaced. Furnishings aren’t anything I wanted to come into contact with my body! Upon arrival, checked the beds and found plenty of body hair in one of the smaller beds. Luckily the king size was clean. To put it mildly we left a day early because we didn’t want to spend the last entire day inside the cabin due to weather! Overpriced for the condition. Sorry, but I was very disappointed!

This cabin is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the mountains and river. It is well stocked, just as described, and the large deck out back is an amazing place to take in Ruidoso’s beauty.

Great place to get away with family. We were all able to enjoy our time together. The place is great and the location is terrific. Best view in the area of the river.

We were greeted by a deer as we approached the house...charming. the accomodations were spot on as listed. The interior was perfect, warm and cozy. The porch was fenced, perfect for our small dog. The surroundings were beautiful...pine forested and always providing curious deer. Our stay was very relaxing affording hiking and biking. Would highly recommend a stay at the house by the river.

We knew what to expect as this cabin was one I stayed in with my family as a young girl. That was the appeal for me along with the great deck right on the river! It was a rainy weekend and with the large picture window we were delighted to enjoy the view. Extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed.

We spent a wonderful week at the cabin. Everything we needed was provided. The view is to die for! We had 2 bill elk in our front yard and deer birds and other wildlife. We hope to come back again soon. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.

We were looking for a cool, relaxing place to escape the triple digit Texas summer. This cabin was the place! The view from the back deck was spectacular! We were able to see many deer, elk, various birds, right on the Ruidoso river!
Communication with the hosts was great! We plan on returning to the area again in the future.

Our Ruidoso Go To
I believe this was our 3rd time staying here, and it’s perfect for our family. Everything we would need is provided. We love sitting on the deck, watching deer, playing games at the large dining table, and hearing the sound of the water.

Beautiful area: Many deer and elk
We had not used Vrbo before, but I would have expected the property to be a little better maintained than it was. The front porch had not been swept and dirt was tracked in until I found a broom and swept it. The windows in the living area came off the track. One window was not locked when we arrived because it was off track. We fixed it and left windows closed. Screen door on the back was swollen and hard to close.

This trip to Rioduso was complemented with our stay at this awesome cabin nestled in the upper canyon. Our grand children were drawn away from their electronics and were totally absorbed in the abundance of wildlife right in your front yard..
We are planning on many more visits to this slice of heaven.

Very comfy cabin with amazing sound of the Ruidoso River.
The older feel of the cabin reminded me of my childhood visits to Ruidoso. Though not modern, the cabin had amazing views, deck and view of the River and everything needed for our stay.
I will return. :)

The property was perfect! It was right on the river and we saw plenty of wildlife. The deck was fantastic and there were plenty of towels and great beds!
