About this house rental
This is clean simple house with an open floor plan. It's warm and comfortable. 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, full kitchen with new appliances. Upstairs Master bedroom has queen bed with pullout sofa, 2nd floor bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds, 1st floor bedroom has a twin bunk over a full bed. Living room has wood burning fireplace which overlooks the Black River. House sleeps a total of 10 pp. Okemo Mt./Jackson Gore is less than 1 mile from the home which has access to shuttle service to and from the mountain during weekends and holidays. House is in walking distance to village where there are various pubs and restaurants to eat and enjoy. In addition, we welcome your furry family members as well, with an additional $200 fee per pet, per stay.

We had a wonderful time with our two kids and dog. House was perfect and far more updates than the posted pictures, which was a nice surprise. Very close to Okemo and easy to take shuttle. Walking distance to town.

We LOVED our stay at Nancy's place in downtown Ludlow. About 5 mins drive from Okemo and walking distance to shops/restaurants downtown. House is updated and renovated with a great layout that accommodated our 2 families needs. We had 4 adults and 5 kids all together and there was plenty of room to hang out and multiple options in regards to sleeping arrangements. Beds and couches are all very comfortable and lots of space for all the winter gear that comes along when you're hitting the mountain. Nancy is a great communicator and accommodated our requests happily. It was a breeze to book and a pleasure to stay here. We will be back next year for our annual trip to Okemo.

When no we arrived there was hair on the sheets in the master bedroom. The next day the owner arranged for new sheets. The property was clean. The bunk beds were difficult for adults to sleep on due to very poor mattresses. Overall ok stay

Great choice for Ludlow/Okemo
Not a whole lot to add from other reviews. The place was as advertised -- not fancy, but comfortable and an excellent base for the Ludlow/Okemo area. We were 3 people so everyone had their own bedroom, but there are enough beds that we would have been fine with twice that many. The house is well-stocked with the basics, and it's an easy walk to Shaw's for groceries and whatnot. [Not to mention the two craft beer stores on the main street! :-) ] As noted in the listing, the parking for Okemo skiing is only a few minutes away; maybe 10 minutes further away is the trailhead for the Healdville Trail in Okemo state forest -- a 6-mile roundtrip hike that takes you to the top of the mountain from the other side than the skiing -- definitely recommended (though a bit tricky in the winter when snow and ice covered). All in all, a good stay and we would be happy to return.

Not worth the money! avoid this! dirty and in disrepair
Check-in: Hair in the sink, someone else's dirty tee shirt next to the bed, no blankets on the beds, only bedspreads. Need a strong male to pull the sliding door shut as it is off track (=safety hazard). Numerous broken doors. Will not fit 12 people as advertised. The stove was clean and it did have dishes.

Our family rented this house for a trip to Okemo. It had everything we needed and was located super close to town and the mountain. Added bonus was looking out onto the creek that runs right behind the house.

Ideal location
This cozy simple house fit our needs perfectly. Close to Okemo, beautiful flowing river behind house. We take walks every night. This house is situated perfectly with a walking bridge one way and a lovely back street the other which parallels Main Street. The kitchen was very well equipped. Some of the sliding doors need attention, but not a big deal. The owner is a text away, and very accommodating. We’ll be back!

Perfect place if you are just looking to rest your head apres-ski
I spent a long weekend here with a group of friends. We were not looking for much more than a place to sleep close to Okemo. You are walking distance to a few good spots to eat but other than that it is a little light on amenities. Short drive to the mountain for first tracks and cozy beds were all we needed!

Cute house in great location
We had a great girls weekend in Ludlow. The house is spacious with a nice fireplace and pretty creek in the backyard. Excellent location - 5 minutes to the ski mountain. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The owner is very responsive and helpful with anything we needed. Highly recommend and we would definitely rent again!

Perfect for a big group
We stayed here with a group of 10 people and 3 cars, and I was a little worried about the space, but this house was perfect. Not only was it clean and cozy, but the host had clear instructions for everything, plenty of amenities (extra kitchen supplies, towels, blankets, etc.), and the property itself was very conveniently located on the route for the free shuttle to Okemo. We had two amazing ski days and would definitely recommend staying here!

Lovely home in a convenient location
We loved our stay at Nancy and Carl’s home in December 2019.
The house is beautiful and our stay was comfortable. It was stocked with all the basic necessities and was warm and cozy. Although we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the books, games, puzzles, etc. it was nice to have that available at hand as a distraction for the kids.
The location is perfect with a ~5 min drive Okemo ski resort and walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores.
Nancy and Carl were always available to answer questions. They were very accompanied of all our special requests and did everything possible to make our stay perfect. It was a pleasure to interact with them.
We would love to be back for future stays!

Property was great! Clean & Convenient to Main St area.
Town even plowed the sidewalk in front of house when it snowed!
My only suggestion would be to improve the driveway. When temperature rose above freezing, driving turned to mud and 8 inch puddles. Maybe some crushed stone would help.
We temporarily parked in the street to unload and load the vehicles, so as to not track mud into the home.

Really lovely home!
Our family completely enjoyed our stay in this fantastic, warm and thoughtful home. There was more than enough space for our family and the home was very comfortable. The location is perfect for catching the shuttle to Okemo which is about a block away. The owner was communicative and quick with replies to questions ahead of our stay inclusive of restaurant recommendations which were greatly appreciated given it was our first time in Okemo. We really liked Neal's! I totally recommend staying in this home for a ski trip and can imagine it being a fantastic spot for the summer as well.

Conveniently located near the #1 shuttle and a short walk to the main street of Ludlow. The house isn't fancy, but it was clean and a great size for a family of 6 (full grown boys) and had everything we needed. Carl and Nancy were great communicators. Exactly what we expected for the price.

Great in-town option for skiing Okemo
After 25+ years of staying slopeside at Okemo, we ventured into town. Perfect ski house just 5 minutes from either the main mountain or Jackson Gore. Easy walk to restaurants and Shaw's supermarket.
Worked out well for grown children on one level and parents on another. Plenty of space and two big TV screens so no arguments there. We had a great stay with ridiculous amounts of fresh powder falling from the sky. Prompt, convenient reservation process, check-in and check-out. The back porch and driveway were plowed while we skiied. Will return again!

Convenient ski house - true to pictures and description
My husband and I stayed in this great home with a large group of friends over President's Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The house was exactly as pictured, clean, and comfortable. Loved having the fireplace in a cozy living room.
Nancy was extremely responsive leading up to and during our stay. Very convenient location about a 10 min drive to the mountain and 5 min walk to shops/restaurants in town.
Will definitely consider staying here again!

Cozy Cabin
We stayed here for New Year's weekend and could not have had a better experience! The house was nice and cozy! It was in a perfect location, quick drive in to town and close enough to walk if it wasn't snowing. We did not take advantage of the shuttle but heard it is easy access to and from the mountain. The owners were great and easy to reach in case we needed anything. The house has everything you need, couldn't have asked for more! Would absolutely rent here again :)

Wonderful Vacation Home
My family and I had a terrific VT vacation and could not have been more pleased with the house and location. The house is in wonderful condition and will make anyone feel at home. Beds are comfortable and decorations are very tasteful. We walked to the shuttle to head to the mountain and even walked into town for bite to eat. We can't wait to go back! Clean, rustic mountain house.
We just got back from our New Years vacation at this property. We had a party of 12 that we thought would be pushing the limits on this home, but we found the place to be more than comfortable for us all. 6 adults and 6 children ranging from 4 years to 11 years. We arrived to find the place in spotless condition and ready for us to make it our home away from home for the next few days. Plenty of hall way closet space to store our snow gear, plenty of parking space to leave our vehicles.
We arrived after dark so did not get to appreciate the views until we woke the next morning. Opening the back curtains to look out over the rear deck and large, tree lined creek was a pleasant suprise, only out done by the great view of Okemo from the small front deck. The next best thing is the convenience of the Okemo shuttle bus just one block away and the short walking distance into town, which is advised in this really pretty mountain town.
Carl and Nancy have been absolute breeze to deal with from enquiry to check out and I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient trip to Okemo
