Had everything we needed for our stay. Perfect landing place to see the town, and visit campus. Was the perfect jumping off point for us to visit family and friends too. Thank you!

It was wonderful to be in Ashland again for the Shakespeare Festival and to be staying in the Dogwood Suite. We have stayed here on previous visits to Ashland. This location is within walking distance to the main shopping area and the theaters. There is a lovely garden that is shady in the afternoons for resting in and the unit itself is very comfortable. Always a pleasure to stay here.

Perfect location for short walk to OSF, restaurants and downtown area. Cozy space, but with enough room to spread out. Kitchen equipped enough to cook if you choose. Friendly host.

Very clean space with lots of room. Two beds and two bathrooms. Both beds are in the same room but there's also a sofabed if needed. Manageable walk to OSF and the retail area. Overall a good value.

The cottage is cute and was clean, so all good there. However, the yard is trashy with weeds, piles of leaves and kids toys scattered about. The cottage does need a bit of maintenance-nothing serious--peeling paint, deck rail needs to be replaced, upstairs shower slow to drain, etc. Also the cottage is in the alley, so it feels isolated and tucked away. That may be a good thing if that is what you are seeking. Overall, the location is OK, and it's a cute place, but for the above reasons we probably won't rent there again.

The space felt larger than how it looked in the photos. There was plenty of storage for our clothes and personal items for our one week stay. (There were 2 of us adults plus our child). It was very clean when we arrived. The directions seemed confusing when I first got them, but once we arrived to the address, it made total sense and was super easy to find. Just follow the instructions they send. The kitchen space is small yet plenty adequate for light cooking- the smaller space actually made for an easy clean up. The on-site owner was accommodating and respectful of our privacy. There was a small, very sweet, well trained and mellow dog named Yoshi- who made us wish we had a family dog. We really liked the peaceful and laid back vibe. We will definitely be seeking this rental out again on another trip to Ashland.

Check in was a breeze, the property was quiet and conveniently located. We were meeting friends in Ashland, and I needed to work, so the dining area was my "office" for the time that we were there. It was super hot during our stay, but the A/C was very efficient, so we were comfortable for the entire visit. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect for the two of us

We stayed in the Dogwood Suite for 2 weeks while 2 out of 4 of us attended a class. Raliegh is an excellent host. He lives on the property, but we never saw him unless we needed something. Communication was great and any request was promptly provided. We ended up needing to have something overnighted to us and Raliegh was more than happy to help. I highly recommend staying here. We hope to return.

The home was clean and quiet. Great stay!

The location of this home and the charming interior was great. My only complaint of the interior would that there be a firm couch that doesn’t sink in to sit on. Also that internet movie access on the television be available. The exterior courtyard, unfortunately, was not what the pictures depicted. I imagine that is do to the current construction project. To my disappointment and a rude awakening I discovered how it would impact my stay of 2 days. The peaceful retreat I was hoping for wasn’t an option. I needed to adjust my plans to be away while the construction took place during the day. Thankfully, the host was easy to contact and understanding of my disappointment. He agreed to some compensation that I felt was fair. That said, I do believe that the if host would have informed me ahead of time of the on site construction, I could have adjusted my plans to stay at another location and maybe could revisit on my next occasion. I imagine once construction is complete this will be quite a comfortable and peaceful place to stay.

Overall, this place was great. Very clean and comfortable. The host lives next door and was very helpful/responsive with questions, and even took extra time to help us get the outside heater set up (twice!) for an evening visit in the winter. I would have appreciated more details in the listing, specifically about the fact that the yard is shared with the owners. We were surprised to be greeted by a dog and children playing in the backyard when we arrived and had friends come to visit us outside. This would be nice to know in normal circumstances, even if it's not a big deal, but during COVID this is essential information. To their credit, they left the yard to us so we could visit safely with our friends. And our kids loved their sweet (and small) dog. So it all worked out. Just would have liked a heads up in advance. We still would have booked the place knowing this info, and it did not take away from our stay. More details of a space on the listing would have been appreciated. Honestly, if there had been more options when we were looking, I would not have picked this place, simply because there wasn't much description. The kitchen is a full kitchen, but it is very small. Because we were not eating out, cooking all our meals for 4 was a challenge. I did appreciate that all the basic appliances and cooking utensils were available, but we could have used a little bit more of everything for cooking and eating to accommodate that much cooking. This kitchen is probably all anyone needs during normal vacations, since you're probably eating out and enjoying shows, etc. It's perfectly located. I walked to the downtown plaza in only 15 minutes. It was quiet and felt private. I never heard any noise from next door, so had no issues with the shared aspect, other than what I mentioned before. Overall, great place I would recommend to others.

To begin, it was the cleanest lodging I’ve ever stayed in. That includes vacation rentals, hotels, etc. The location was ideal for us. Except for two longer drives, we didn’t get in our car in the eight days we were there. We walked and biked, which was our goal. Communication was prompt, easy, friendly. The moment we figure out our dates for next year, we will book our stay with Raleigh again! Finally, on a personal note, this sweet sanctuary provided us some much-needed solitude, solace, and healing around a recent loss. We’re so grateful we had the time there.

Nice and clean and quiet

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this very clean and comfortable home. Access to downtown was easy, and Triangle Park was a nice place to jog. Highly recommended.

It was very quiet. Easy to have a good nights sleep. Kitchen was well equipped. Comfortable in all ways.

Property is in private neighborhood less than a block from a park and the University campus. An easy walk to Ashland theaters. Stayed with our 14-year old grandson. The accommodations provided plenty of room and privacy for all 3 of us. We would stay here again.

Nothing fancy but clean and close to town.

I comfortably stayed here for a month with my husband and toddler. It was a great place to have a child with a cheerful dog and swingset in the yard. The place itself was very clean and cozy with all the ammenities, towels, linens, kitchen supplies, etc you could need for a month stay. It's tucked into a good location with easy parking too.

This is our second time staying in the Dogwood Suite at Tudor House. We love being within walking distance of downtown and to the Shakespeare festival. Our stay was comfortable and pleasant. It now our home away from home in Ashland.

Close to downtown - comfortable bedroom and bath - quiet neighborhood

The Suite had many more amenities than I realized....full kitchen, downstairs totally accessible, and lots of privacy. Beds were comfortable, too.

Our Dogwood stay was perfect for 4 people. House had perfect air conditioning and comfortable beds upstairs. Two great bathrooms made it convenient for multiple guests. It was a little tight for watching movies at the end of the night with only one couch but there were extra chairs packed away in the closet. There was a Safeway almost exactly across the street and we walked to the adorable shops downtown in 20 minutes- with adorable houses to view along the way. Parking was convenient right in back of the house. Would definitely stay again!

This was a good fit for me and my family. It's a small space but just what we needed for our trip to Ashland and Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Clean, comfortable and cool in the heat of summer. Would stay here again!

This charming and homey property was ideal for our Ashland/OSF holiday! A brief and lovely walk to downtown and the Festival, the property was clean and well appointed and felt like our home away from home. It's roomy and well lit and situated in a lovely gated garden. The host was communicative and attentive when contacted and provided privacy otherwise. I highly recommend and will return!
