INSIDE THE SOUTH VIEW SUITE
Our vacation rental suite is located on the garden level of this Naramata Bench log home. You won’t feel like you’re in a basement though! Both bedrooms have full-size double patio doors stepping you right out onto your patio, the yard and vineyard, facing west. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed. And the second bedroom has a queen bed and a set of twin-sized bunks. Between the two bedrooms is a Jack-and-Jill style three-piece bathroom. (see picture of floor plan). If you're travelling as two couples, you might find the layout just a bit unusual. We suggest using the outdoor patio as your walkway between rooms to maximize the bedroom privacy.
The living/dining/kitchen area is an open space with big windows and a double patio door. The living room has a large couch, and there is a flat screen TV with cable and high-speed WiFi for those who want a bit of screen time.
The kitchen area is small, but it gets the job done. An apartment-sized fridge, two stove-top range, large toaster oven, toaster, microwave, kettle, coffee-maker and pots/pans and dishes are there to help you prepare basic and more than basic meals. We don’t have an oven, but to make up for it there is BBQ outside. And of course, we wouldn’t have a vineyard without wine glasses and a decanter to help you enjoy your loot!
OUTDOOR LIVING ON THE VINEYARD:
Enough about the indoor space, chances are you’ll want to relax in the beautiful Naramata bench outdoors with the spectacular view of Okanagan Lake! You’ve got your own private patio with Adirondack chairs for relaxing, and an outdoor dining area. There is a very large yard, and 3.5 beautiful acres of vines for everyone to enjoy. We are also lucky to have several hundred feet of lakefront! To get down to our private, natural beach you’ll have to take a bit of a walk down our dirt track. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down and there’s a bit of an incline, but well worth it! Great for an afternoon or a morning swim!

PLEASE NOTE: There is another rental unit on site. Both units have their own outdoor space. We always expect each group to be respectful of each-other, and mindful of noise that may disturb each-other's rest and relaxation.
OUT AND AROUND NARAMATA AND PENTICTON:
The Naramata and Penticton area has so much to enjoy. Explore some of the nearby wineries and restaurants for a taste of the best the region has to offer. Enjoy local festivals, weekly farmers markets, wine tours. Explore local boutiques for a sample of some local culture.
If exercise is more your speed, this estate is right along the Kettle Valley Railway trail, with hundreds of kilometres of cycling paths extending across British Columbia. Easy access to the trail is just a short ride away. If mountain biking is your thing, there are more than a handful of trails at all levels of difficulty nearby. Hit the water for some paddling, boating, fishing or swimming. We are only minutes away from Penticton, conveniently located for the Pentiction Challenge Triathlon, and 40 minutes from Apex Mountain Ski resort. This lakefront home is perfectly located for an active getaway.
Whether relaxing in wine country or training for the Penticton Challenge, this is the ideal place to call home during your stay.

We loved our time here! The owner was super responsive. The space is big and clean. It is so peaceful. A great place to bird watch and we spent each evening marveling at the bats. The property around it was a bit unkept. The only draw back was the fact that it did not have air conditioning so I had a hard time sleeping.

Beautiful views and a great location on the Naramata Bench. A few hiccups with the checkin process and a cleaning oversight delayed our ability to access the space however the owner communicated well. We enjoyed the view and proximity to our favourite wineries.

Comfortable and in a spectacular location but not a 5 star resort and not presented as one. Nicely furnished with good linens. Essentially a walkout basement onto a large covered deck area. Expensive…..you are paying for the location.

The strength of this VRBO is the view from the patio area. It is stunning. The accommodations are well suited for 4 ppl with generally comfortable beds, easy access, good parking and small efficiency kitchen for simple snack preparation. The shared bathroom between bedrooms worked out ok however it was a bit awkward to have to walk through one bedroom to get to the next bedroom through the bathroom. Yet, we used the sliders in the bedrooms to go outside and adjusted without much of a problem. It is a beautiful property which we loved immediately.

One of the best rental house i never had

The place has everything. Lots of room for two families of 4. Clean and modern interiors in the place itself. And the location is moments away from both the lake and the pool. What else could you need? Nothing. It's a great place to stay.

The place had the most amazing view over the lake. We enjoyed the short but steep hike down to the private beach each day and during breaks enjoyed the proximity to many places to try the local wine and produce. We hope to be back to visit again.

Beautiful location and wonderful place to stay and tour the wine valley from!

Fabulous stay in Naramata vineyard. Very special to walk down path to pebble beach. Bring water shoes to better enjoy a refreshing dip in the lake. There were 4 nice chairs down there. If the main unit above is rented, be prepared to hear people walking/talking above you as it is a log cabin. And a large deck is above part of the unit so you could hear people enjoying themselves up there. Hosts were very responsive and we’d stay again.

We had a lovely time at this property. There were a couple things that did not work well on the property that I will let the host know about. The property is a great place to unwind and relax with the great view of the lake. It is centrally located on the Naramata Bench. Lisa the host was very easy to access if you had a question.

Perfect for a family needing 2 bedrooms. The faucets in the shower and kitchen were a bit tricky, and you must remember to bring your own soap and shampoo.
Otherwise, a great place for a family.

Beautiful views for breakfast and dinner times. Real country style living.

Great spot! Amazing views!

Peaceful and quiet location. Apartment was well equipped and beds were exceptionally comfortable.
We couldn't figure out how to use the TV. Mostly we just enjoyed the wine, and location.

A wonderful place to rest and take in some incredible sunsets. Communication with property owners was easy and timely.

Right in the heart of wine country, this location was perfect. We were minutes from all the wineries we wanted to visit. Incredible views and a quiet, relaxing getaway.

We had a good stay at Lisa and Jarrett's place. The location is wonderful and it was really nice having the outdoor space to sit and relax.

Excellent views and great hosts made this a banner stay. As Arnold said….I’ll be back!

The location is in a beautiful setting at the lower level of an impressive log structure house with fabulous natural views, about a 7-minute drive to Naramata centre. There was a minor check-in procedure, but it was sorted out very efficiently. Lisa and Jarrett were very polite, prompt, and easy to deal with.
The furnishings are fairly typical, however the floor plan is awkward. Specifically, the second bedroom is accessed internally through the main bedroom and common bathroom. This is probably ok for immediate family members, but not necessarily for friends. While this is documented on the site with a floor plan towards the end of the image list, we missed this detail (our bad) and it was not an ideal layout for us. Otherwise, as noted, this unit is great!

We had a perfect stay at Sail Away Vineyard. Great proximity to multiple wineries and distilleries (quite a few walkable)! The accommodations were spotless and well equipped. We highly recommend this for a peaceful retreat with as much or as little local activity as you’d like. Great hikes close by too.

Good base for the area. Nice trail down to a private pebble beach. Nice chatting with the owners. Great dog who likes to play ball. Close to mountain bike trails and KVR. Internet was good.

Beautiful view and nice covered veranda. (Hopefully view won't be impacted if owners of new property subdivision to west build a house.) Walk to the beach is great, and walking poles are helpful in steep spots. The sitting room is small, but in warm weather, who cares - the outside is so nice. Close proximity to multiple vineyards and to railroad trail are real pluses. The owners' dog was friendly and played well with our dog. My husband and I hope to return - our early October stay was really pleasant and relaxing.

This property was very quiet and comfortable. The layout is a bit awkward because you have to walk through one bedroom and the shared bathroom in order to get to the second bedroom. It was not a problem for us but it could be a problem for some groups. The plumbing was a bit slow; it probably needs some draino in the sinks. There is no oven and only a two burner electric cooktop. There is also no dishwasher. But despite these shortcomings, we would definitely want to come back here. The stroll to the beach was very beautiful but the path is a bit steep and probably not for a feeble person. The host Jarrett is an interesting fellow and has some interesting stories to tell.

Great stay at this property. Views were amazing. Accommodations were clean and comfy. Great location. Lisa and Jarrett were amazing hosts and quick to help and very responsive. Only thing that was a bit odd to be aware of is that you need to walk through the master bedroom and bathroom to access the other bedroom (or use the porch doors to walk around the master bedroom. No air conditioning but they had fans going when we arrived and the place was cool throughout our stay. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Beginning with the relaxing porch overlooking a vineyard vista & spilling over to the comfy, quiet lakeshore, this property is a rustic and unpretentious getaway to be savoured. Whether you want to swim, paddle, walk, read, bike, hike, nap or chill, all is found here. The hosts are attentive in the relaxed way you are lucky to find in Naramata. This is a beachfront gathering place nestled in the bluffs but close to all a wine country break from the world should be … enjoy.

Beautiful property right on the bench. Quaint little suite overlooking the vineyard! It was lovely and quiet. Easy drive into Penticton and Naramata. Great location for wine tasting as you’re surrounded by wineries and vineyards. Lisa was very prompt and made checking in and out a breeze! Well equipped suite. Highlight was the wonderful covered patio overlooking the lake and vineyard- great spot to relax in the mornings or watch the sun set over the lake.

My wife, son and companion had an amazing 2 night stay at Lisa and Jarrett's property. We thoroughly enjoyed wandering around their spectacular property and received tons of insight from both Lisa and Jarrett on the general area and wineries to enjoy. Communication was first class, much like our entire stay.
We took advantage of their recommendations in riding our bikes to a couple of local wineries and can recommend Lake Breeze and Deep Roots for their hospitality. Thanks for a refreshing stopover and good luck with the upcoming new arrival!

Very quite spacious rental. Close to penticton. Amazing property and surrounding area. Plenty to do and see.

The accommodation was as more or less as expected with a great location for wine tasting although some of the furniture could have been cleaner. It was less private than we had hoped, which was a bit of a problem for our dog. Overall, it was good but wasn't worth the cost especially given that we had to clean the place before leaving.

Great location along the Naramata Bench. We went to various wineries in the area and could have walked to a few. We enjoyed the beach but the trip up back from the beach was challenging due to the steepness and slipperiness of the trail (water streaming down the hillside made the trail quite slick). Beds were very comfy and the deck had amazing views - great place to sip coffee is the early morning. Both bedrooms and living room have patio doors out to the patio. Love this feature. One issue is that the renters’ kids who were on the top floor were running around on the deck at 6:45 am and we could hear them so the early wake up call was not fun. We contacted Jarrett about this and he asked the top floor tenants to try and keep the kids off the deck in the wee hours of the morning. Problem solved. Also the place is low on ‘basic’ necessities (e.g. no sugar for coffee /tea, paper towels). Overall an enjoyable stay.

Lovely spot in a vineyard setting. Personable hosts. A little far from their beach for us 75+ age however Jarrad was very accomodating in offering and providing transport up and down the hill on request. Will be OK when he completes his shortcut pathway. Easy 5 min drive to lovely Naramata park beaches for our early morning swim. Upstairs unit noisy one night when visitors on the deck were partying. Would rent again when beach path completed.

Group of us ladies stayed here for a bachlorette party. The property was beautiful! Also Rose was AMAZING! Lots of fun and would definitely stay here again.
The only downside if I had to pick one would be the steep walk back from the lakefront. (Definitely doable) had a great memorable weekend!

My girlfriends and I came to Naramata for a stagette weekend and stayed at Sail Away Vineyards. It was absolutely wonderful, Jarrett and Lisa were super helpful before hand and their property manager Rose who is on site is wonderful! She was there when we needed her but other than that we felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was perfect for what we wanted and a really relaxing place to stay. The Naramata wineries being right there didn't hurt either!
Lovely place and trip! Thanks.

8 of us girls stayed here for a stagette/girls getaway. The place was beautiful. It was large enough to accommodate all of us comfortably and even with only one bathroom, we made it work. In the evening we sat outside looking out on the vineyard and lake. During the day we took a wine tour and went in either direction. Sail Away was very central to it all! A few of us hiked down to the lake. It is a good hike, especially on the way back, but it was so peaceful and beautiful. There are people living upstairs, but you would never know it. It was a lovely getaway for a bunch of busy moms!
2.5
We really enjoyed our time here. We like that the location was very central and we could do the northern wineries on one day and all the southern ones the next. Even thought the kitchen is small we could get everything done that we needed to. I would totally come back here again.

Lovely spot overlooking Okanagan Lake from the Naramata bench and right in the centre of wine country. We (two retired couples) rented this ground-floor, two-bedroom apartment for three nights and enjoyed the central location for wine tasting and local sightseeing in and around Penticton (great art gallery with exceptional rotating displays).
The Wifi is plugged into a power bar in the front corner of the living room under the TV (didn't work until we found that and switched it on). We never did figure out how to work the TV but then we never missed it at all. The kitchen is very small and lacks a dishwasher. The bathroom is located between the two bedrooms and the smaller bedroom is accessed through the larger bedroom and bathroom (or directly from outside via the sliding glass door). The larger bedroom and the living room also have their own sliding glass doors to the patio. We couldn't get the key to work in the living-room door (the first one you come to from the parking area) but did work in the second, larger-bedroom door. There is a one-bedroom apartment next to the two-bedroom unit, also on the ground floor, that can be accessed through a (locked) door if you rent both units. The upstairs was rented long-term but was never a problem. There's a large, propane barbecue at the side of the house but the gas ran out before we even started cooking our steaks -- had to use the kitchen stove.
To access the beach, you need to look for a small trail leading off to the right, immediately after you turn into Hyde Road off Naramata Road.
Advertised rental information was somewhat confusing regarding the cost. It wasn't until I was well into registering that I discovered the advertised price was low-balled. The advertised price for this two-bedroom, six-person unit (a large bed in the large room and a double bed and two bunk beds in the small room) was actually only for the first two people and each extra person was charged a rather high extra charge.
Great hiking trail nearby on the former Kettle Valley Railroad track bed.

Perfect location, amazing views and easy cycling to all the wineries on the bench. The 2bdrm unit was spacious and clean - worked very well for our group of 6 gals. The walk to the private beach was steep and we needed to travel light to get down there, but the beach and privacy was completely worth it. Best girls weekend ever.

A group of 4 and sometimes 5 women stayed here for 3 nights doing some wine touring by bicycle. This was a great location, we visited the vinyards in one direction one day and in the other direction the next day, plus some beach time at Manitou Park which is only about 5-10 minutes drive! The house was very clean, spacious and cool (considering the hot weather), and had fans in each bedroom. The owners were very quick to respond to emails and questions. Though we were excited to book this house due to the private beach, the hot walk down and up the hill was too much for our weary legs and we only swam down there once. It would be good to have shoes and a flashlight if you are thinking of walking back up from the private beachfront after dark, and be aware if anyone in your gang has mobility issues that it is quite a hill. Sitting on the deck and at the outdoor table became our favorite way to eat breakfast and dinner. I'd definitely recommend this space and I might be back again! Our favorite wineries were Howling Bluff, Twisted Roots, Moraine and La Frenz, though so many were enjoyable!

We couldn't have been happier staying at Sail Away Vineyards. It was the perfect location with breathtaking views of the vineyard and the lake. We travelled from Vancouver on Friday morning and Lisa was very accommodating to our slightly early arrival. There were 4 of us staying in the 2 bedroom suite and there was ample room to lounge around and hang out. Although, with the weather being as awesome as it was, most of our time was spent on the lawn, taking in the scenery. The two bedrooms were spacious, however, if you're 2 couples, you might have to flip a coin to see who gets the master bedroom! The house itself is situated right in the middle of the bench, which made it very easy to bike to almost all of the wineries in the area. Overall, Sail Away Vineyards is the perfect place to spend some time out of the city, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!
