About this villa rental
With the best view in Costa Rica’s exclusive Santa Teresa community of marAmar, “Casa Playa Vista” is a unique home.
Inspired by the concept that, "just because you are in the jungle it doesn’t mean that you can’t have all the amenities and comfort of a 21st century, big city loft space." The 2,000 sq ft fully air conditioned home boasts not only a panoramic view of one of the best surfing beaches in Costa Rica, but also every convenience of a modern, urban home.
Two master suites grace the first floor with a king size bed in the master bedroom and a twin and queen size beds in the second suite. The upstairs features an open plan living area, with an oversized balcony, and guest bathroom. A fully equipped chef’s kitchen accompany modern amenities like, hi speed internet, a Sonos audio system, anda 50” LED smart flat screen TV. The house also contains an office area with a wifi printer, dining table for 12, indoor and out door couches, and pretty much everything todays multi-tasking traveler needs.
The upper floor leads out to a private hillside, ocean view pool, which supplement’s marAmar’s own luxury family pool. MarAmar’s secure gated community includes 24 hour security, daily maid service, and ample 3G cell coverage. That plus what has to be one of the best Pacific sunset views in Central America.
A short drive from either the La Lora or Rocamar surf breaks, and a short distance from several excellent restaurants, cafes and a good supermarket, there is no convenience not at arms reach from Casa Playa Vista.
You cannot go far in Santa Teresa without coming across yoga. Our concierge can even arrange for you to have private instruction on the balcony. Where there is yoga, there is always great massage, again, ask our concierge for recommendations.
The 5 star concierge service can also help you with everything from ATV and Surfboard rentals, to restaurant reservations. They can give you the inside scoop on the best weekly ‘locals only’ beach parties and events, and help you with any and all your travel and excursion needs.
Please note that the house is located up on a hill so a vehicle is required. Our concierge can help arrange a rental car or ATV for the duration of your stay. The house is not handicap accessible. To access the house you must walk up a few flights of stairs.

Breathing taking views and sunsets like we have never seen before.
We would rent this villa again without question. We had a friend stop by that has been in many villas in Santa Teresa and said it’s one of the best views in all the places she’s visited.
The concierge service was amazing, so attentive and all Tania’s recommendations were amazing, restaurants, yoga instructors and chefs exceeded our expectations.
Santa Teresa was a bit busier then we expected so it was nice to have a place up the hill away from the busy street but close enough that it was 2 min drive to the main road and beach. The beach directly in front of the villa is perfect, we explored other beaches and we liked this one the best. Hermosa beach was our next favorite and it’s only 10min down the road.
We would recommend this place without question.

Great location, Incredible View
The view from the house is amazing. Having a pool at the house was very convenient. The property manager was responsive and helpful! The road up to the house is steep (did I say amazing view) and may not be walkable by all.

Wonderful Experience
Ridiculous views in through the property/ house and on the decks. Great bedrooms, comfortable beds, and AC worked great when desired. Relative to climate/location the property was very clean. The owner and Tania, the property manager, were super helpful and responsive with arranging surf lessons, answering questions, and sorting any issues that arose. We would definitely return.

Breath taking views in an awesome location
The pictures of this place are spot on. You have 180 degrees views of the ocean from both levels. The house has excellent amenities and was very clean. We enjoyed the pool and watching the howler monkeys on the trees next to the house. Santa Teresa is a town with relaxing vibes and friendly locals. We would definately come back and stay at this house again.

Santa Teresa sanctuary in the sky
Imagine yourself floating on a cloud over a sub-tropical rainforest with an 180 degree view of a pristine beach on the Pacific Ocean. Casa Playa Vista has amazing views from it's main living area and bedroom decks as well as the plunge pool area, which has full sun in the morning and is shaded during the hot afternoons. The bedrooms start your day like you are at a bird sanctuary, blackouts nicely for siesta time and at night the crashing waves lull you to sleep. The kitchen flows perfectly for any chef, there are several dining areas (large kitchen counter, small dining area, and large balcony dining table for entertaining) and the comfortable living area had nice lighting and evening breezes. The house has the most chill spots per square meter plus the managements concierge service is second to none. We cannot say enough nor can we wait to return.

A true paradise at last! LOVE this amazing house.
I've been traveling to Costa Rica for over 25 years, and this was my greatest experience I've ever had there. Santa Theresa is my favorite in Costa Rica, but I've never experienced it like I did during my stay in this house. The accommodations are amazing (the house is virtually brand new), the concierge service excellent, the staff really pleasant, and the location & view? To die for. Overlooking the beach, listening to the waves break from up on the bluff, and a refreshing private pool in the back. Relaxing on the deck(s), listening to music on the whole-house Sonos system in amazing quality, sipping Costa Rican coffee, while watching Howler monkeys swinging through the trees.

Tropical paradise modern design brand new
This was quite simply, the best house that I have ever stayed at in Costa Rica.
The view was stunning, everything worked perfectly, the design aesthetic was totally unique, and it had everything you could want. The concierge, Glori, was great and turned us onto a couple of amazing restaurants and booked us into yoga calsses at Pranamar which we loved. She also helped us rent ATVs for a great price.
The maid service was spot on, and the pool a perfect place to float and watch the sunset.
The beds were really comfortable, and the A/C was the best I have ever had in the tropics.
5 Stars all around !
Will be back next year.

A little piece of heaven in Costa Rica
This is literally a little piece of heaven, a lovely home, high in the sky - with killer views. Secluded, however, you are close enough to the buzzy little town of Santa Teresa - just below, you can walk down to restaurants, shops, etc. I stayed there the last week of August in 2017 with some friends and family and had a wonderful time. Not to mention, the staff at Mar-a-Mar is there for you, for just about any need or question. You won't feel on your own in Costa Rica, but part of a nice, safe community.
