This mountain sanctuary will soothe your mind, body, heart, and spirit. Sip your morning tea or coffee on the deck overlooking century-old red and white oak trees.
Lounge on the double porch swing while enjoying the beautiful mountain views.
The chef’s kitchen has gorgeous forest views, lots of counter space, a 4-burner gas oven, two dishwashers, a large refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, and a microwave.
There are 4 bedrooms ( 3 roomy and 1 cozy ) and 4 bathrooms (one is a half bath).
The house offers one king, two queens and two twins (as a bunk bed).
The master bedroom with a king bed will pamper you with its steel canopy bed and soaking tub accented with a picture window.
Built-in steel bunk beds are a treat for the kids along with the fairy door and indoor slide that delivers passengers into the dining room. The third floor offers a queen-sized bed in a spacious room. This bedroom offers gorgeous views from its large circular window and has a half bath.

⭐️There is a video of me driving up the driveway in my Honda Accord Hybrid here:
https://youtu.be/S9zqhMTRhm4?si=gLfHgaEinMr4uZsg
Please note that the driveway is 1/10 of a mile up a steep gravel hill.
After you book the property, I will text you a video of my sedan driving up the driveway.
Four-wheel drive is always recommended in the mountains, but it is not necessary.
If you have never lived in the mountains or are from a flat area like Florida, you must have four-wheel-drive.
No passenger vans, U-Hauls, or similar-sized vehicles
( It will mess up the driveway).
If you have experience driving your minivan up steep gravel hills, you can bring a minivan.
Honda minivans struggle with the driveway, and it is the one vehicle I would not recommend bringing unless you are confident with your minivan on steep gravel roads. Honda does advertise their minivan as fully capable of driving on mountain roads; however, I have found that some guests struggle with the driveway.
The house has A/C and heat, in addition to radiant floors.
**There are 4 mini split units, and they MUST be set within 5 degrees of one another**
Severe damage can happen to the units if they are set more than 5 degrees from one another.
Full kitchen, fridge and freezer, washer and dryer, coffee maker, television (no cable) & wi-fi.

Our family loved staying here. It had all we needed and was close to great outdoor activities. Excellent options were provided for rainy days. Response time was incredibly fast and check out was super easy with 3 kids. Highly recommend!

Awesome property! Wooded and private. Loved that 3 of the 4 bedrooms had attached bathrooms; loved the huge deck. Incredible view from the upstairs bedroom! Very unique house! And an ez drive to Asheville and Black Mountain!

The property and house were lovely, great views of the mountains and the outside porch was a favorite. There was ample space.
Be sure to read the description thoroughly! We rented a mini van and thankfully we had minimal issues with the steep driveway, but smaller cars would likely be a better choice if you get a rental car. If driving in a mountainous area is a concern for you, maybe choose elsewhere. We were able to get Ubers to the bottom of the hill and walk up (when not wanting to drive). Communication with the host was clear, friendly and accessible. Location felt very accessible to downtown.
We enjoyed our stay here!

Our group had an overall good experience. There were 6 of us (3 couples). Looking at the listing, the home is exactly as described. It really is a quiet cabin completely secluded, with a fun quirkiness that would be great for kids. It's about a 20 minutes drive to downtown.
For our personal preference, we didn't love that the home had almost no curtains. Despite it being secluded, we really felt it lacked privacy. Additionally, I don't know that the stay would be ideal for couples. Most doors don't lock, and the home has multiple pathways to each room leaving very little privacy. Again, the home is exactly as described! This is something we didn't realize when booking and that is on us. The host was fantastic. She made the stay feel very personal and was always quickly available for any concerns.
I would recommend this as a wonderful place to stay for a family with kids, looking for a lovely cabin style home with great views!

We enjoyed our stay at this enchanting, unique home. The home had plenty of room and was very clean. It’s close proximity to Biltmore and downtown Asheville. Julia was a very accommodating host.

This was our first trip to Asheville, so it was hard picking a place close to the things we wanted to do. This location is a bit out of the way you have to drive in order to do anything. You must pay attention to the host directions on how to get to the house and like she said, try to arrive during the daylight. That is key, I’m not sure we would’ve been able to get to the house had we arrived at night the first time. The house itself was great, the kids loved the slide. The kids room was wonderful for the cousins and there were even some toys provided. The king master shower was absolutely covered in mold! Every tile had mold on it. It was hard to shower without touching the tile. That would really be my only complaint .

We had an amazing long weekend here. The views were amazing, and the fall weather certainly helped! It was great being so close to downtown Asheville and all that it has to offer. The fire pit was used every night, and the slide was a hit with the toddler! It’s a great house for a family get away or a gathering of friends. The house was very clean, the kitchen had all necessities, and there was ample seating throughout the house. The driveway is a little tricky, but if you go slow and steady you will be fine! We will definitely be looking to come back next time we’re planning a trip to Asheville.

Great spot for friends to catch up. The revolving book case and indoor slide were definite highlights.

This house was adorable!! Nestled literally amongst the treetops, it provided a perfect place to regroup after long days. Each room had handcrafted trim, doors, and paneling and even some hide-away drawers. My girls loved exploring and especially loved the slide. I mean, how could you not?!
The driveway was a little steeper than I had anticipated, so it would be a great idea to get there in the daylight to avoid any confusion. However, the video supplied by the homeowner was very helpful finding the right house.
Thanks again for a great weekend!

As warned, the drive up the mountain was challenging but I just put the car in 2nd and gunned it. One of the Uber drivers, though, picked up one group for the airport and refused to drive up the last 2 hills - made the girls drag their suitcases down to them!
The house worked perfectly for us. Very comfortable. We had a fire outside on 2 of the nights which was just wonderful. Visited the art district one day, downtown the next. Pretty perfect.

We loved everything about this property. Every single detail was attended to - we can’t wait to return!

Julie was so welcoming. Picking fresh seasonal flowers from the property. Anticipated all our needs and communicative. Would absolutely stay again.

Gorgeous, immaculate and super friendly house in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The owner was extremely responsive, gracious, accommodating and professional. Our kids had a blast on the slide and the playhouse in the woods - and they loved the secret rotating bookcase. Adults loved making a campfire and enjoying the porch swing. Would 100% recommend!

I stayed here with friends and my 3 year old. It was a perfect space to hang out but also have private areas. My son loved the slide and a toy box. The house was about 20-25 minutes from most things, but we felt like we stayed in the middle of the woods.

We had a wonderful time staying at this charming cabin. There was plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 2 teenagers. The house was clean when we arrived and had everything we needed for our stay. Sitting out on the deck in the morning with a cup of tea or coffee was a relaxing peaceful way to start each day, and yet the house was still close to restaurants, shopping, and activites.

Our family absolutely LOVED our stay in this incredible property. Julia was a fantastic host: friendly, welcoming, informative, proactive and accommodating.
The home itself is absolutely beautiful and unique, and perfect for both the adults and kids. My partner and I spent as much time as possible on the huge porch (both relaxing and dining). We loved both the unique architecture and welcoming touches built into the house. It’s incredibly well-kept, clean and well-equipped.
The kids loved the slide, the tiny door, the rotating bookcase, the tub big enough to fit both of them, and the bonus hidden treehouse/playhouse in the woods!
The property is about 20 min from most places in downtown Asheville and is a great secluded getaway. It is tucked away on a steep gravel road but we are mountain dwellers, so no concerns for us.
My partner and I both remarked this is one of the best places we’ve stayed. After spending most of a day out on an excursion, it was the perfect environment for our active, curious young kids to explore and play; and for us to cook dinner and relax on the porch.
Julia made sure the house is very comfortable to boot: comfy pillows and linens; soft towels; great dishware etc. Highly recommend, 10/10!

This is great lodging for a family. 4 large bedrooms with beautiful views. Full size kitchen to prepare meals. Large deck and a fire pit. Wonderful stay, highly recommend.

7 adults recently stayed here for a bachelorette weekend. The home was amazing and as pictured. Comfortable beds. Host was friendly and offered for us to take our time checking out in the morning! Quick responses. Great location.

This property is exactly as described in the listing. However, you can't really appreciate just how beautiful the home and the surrounded area is until you're there. We're lucky enough to have stayed in spring, so we were surrounded by lots of lush green (easily viewable from indoor spaces as well as outdoor). There was more than enough seating for our two families to stay comfortably for a long weekend. There are thoughtful touches throughout the property, including a beautiful garden outside. It's also only a short drive to downtown Asheville. Julia was an amazing host - very communicative, addressing lots of questions we had before arrival.
I can't recommend this place highly enough.

The grandkids loved, loved the indoor slide and "hobbit" door. I appreciated being able to sit on the deck hearing only birds and being able to hop in the car and still be close to Asheville, Black Mountain and the Blue Ridge Mountains
4.9
Our 3 generation family had a great stay. We loved the comfort and whimsy of the house. Location is convenient to Black Mtn and Asheville. Julia is a great host.

It was a very unique and spacious home. We enjoyed it alot

This was our second time staying in this home, and we had a great time! The house was very clean, the owner was very accommodating and easy to work with, and our kids enjoyed the fun and interesting features of the house - the slide, the revolving bookcase, the kids bunks, and the outdoor tree house. We enjoyed a couple of fires in the fire pit, as well as sitting on the expansive back deck and taking in the view. We hope to come back for a 3rd time.
4.9
The house is great, beautiful location. Great views from the house. The slide was great for kids. Everything needed to make meals was provided. Fire pit was awesome.Be carful driving at night! Driving at night wasnt easy, hardly any lights way out there & roads can be confusing. Great place to stay, highly recommend.
4.9
The cabin is a perfect relax and recharge home. When you walk through the entry arbor you know this is going to be relaxation. The view from the porch is indescribable. There are no neighbors. Walking in the main door you are greeted with a family room and a big beautiful kitchen. We cooked in the very well supplied kitchen. Drinking coffee, looking out at the mountains with no city noise was sheer peace.
Our favorites were the view from every room in the house, the porch with full reclining swing, the hobbit door, and indoor slide. There was even a live Christmas tree. We were
Celebrating A late Christmas and New
Year. Thank you for the incredible week.

Nice property with great privacy and views. Interesting drive in but completely manageable. Lots of unique features inside from design to decor. Easy access to Asheville, would definitely stay again.
4.9
The cabin was spacious and well appointed. It was exactly what we expected and we enjoyed it immensely. It has a lot of character and detail.
4.9
Super easy booking process, pictures of the house are accurate. Will definitely be booking this one again!
4.9
Great communication with Julia. The property was very clean, well stocked--perfect for families. Might want to have an AWD or 4WD vehicle for access (steep driveway, as the listing says), but we made it okay with our Highlander. Beautiful views are worth it!
4.9
Our party of 7 (8 with the 2 year old) found the property perfect. Three couples, a single and the baby enjoyed the deck and living spaces. The 2 year old (and some grownups loved the slide). The dining room is a bit dark and stuffy but our weather was fine for eating outside.
The house was spotless and the kitchen very well equipped for our early Thanksgiving dinner.
One of our three cars lacked four wheel drive and I really can't imagine making it up the driveway without 4-wheel in anything but perfect weather, which we had!
4.9
What an awesome house! We had 3 couples and a 4 yr old and the house accommodated us all perfectly (my son loved the bunk bed and the slide). We were there for a family wedding and there were plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and showers for everyone to sleep well and br showered in time. The location was lovely - had a country feel but great proximity to the town.
4.9
I enjoyed the stay at this property. Cool place high up on the hillside. Very comfortable sleeping rooms, well appointed. Close enough to town yet set in relatively rural section. The structure and grounds are well kept and updated. Great place to sit on the porch and BS. The trees in front of the porch need to be trimmed or removed to reveal what would be an amazing view from the deck. Good mountain getaway spot that feels off grid, while still being on it.
4.9
This is a fun and unique location. The property is beautiful and very well kept. It is located near enough to anything we needed, but quite and isolated. Our time was great and the owner very responsive.
4.9
We were in Ashville for wedding and this was home base! Very private, tucked away from everything, but anything you could want is accessible within 15-20 minutes. Julia was awesome, so responsive and quick to help. She gave us some great recommendations. The house? AMAZING!! So roomy, yet so cozy. Well stocked, we weren’t in want or need of anything!! If coffee is important to you…(it’s high priority for us) no worries. There were 2 coffee grinders and like 4 different ways you can choose to brew!!
I would definitely stay here again! We had a wonderful time!

Peaceful retreat
Perfect get away for our group of two couples. Nice, secluded place to relax after our ventures into Asheville and Biltmore. Loved spending time on deck. It was so green and peaceful and all you could see was trees and plants. Beautifiul! Julia was very helpful and quick to address our questions and concerns.

Great hidden spot
This house was just as magical as it looks in the listing. Everywhere you look, there's another unique little detail adding to the charm. The kitchen was very well equipped as well. It was a little bit tricky to find the first time, but after that it was all good. Instructions from Julia helped us get here. The location is just stunning-- it feels like you're a thousand miles away from civilization!
