Perfect for those looking to explore San Ignacio and the surrounding area. Very comfortable and secure.
1.5 / 5.0
Great views, hot/cold bubbler, lots of kitchen items. Located next Cehal Pech making an easy walk to view a bit of history. Convenient to walk downtown.
2.5 / 5.0
From the very smooth booking, communication and check-in process to the willingness to assist if necessary, cleanliness and overall experience as well as speedy check out, this was exactly what we hoped for as a place to stay in San Ignacio!

The house was very comfortabe, was well equiped, was very clean. Good restorants in walking distance. There was no washer and dryer as mentioned but the owner arranged with the hotel Midas to do our washing for free. that was appreciated.

The house had plenty of space and the location was great. While it is very well stocked, there's so much stuff it actually felt a bit cluttered. And the "clean" dishes in the cabinet weren't clean. It's great to have spices, pasta, oil and other staples, but the fact that they were just thrown into cabinets in a disorderly manner really isn't appealing at all.

Great house and location!
We had a terrific time in San Ignacio at Casa de Cahal Pech! The house was exactly as pictured. It was clean and well stocked with all we needed. My family loved swinging in the hammocks and playing games at the large dining room table!

Excellent property in a convenient location
The house was an excellent launching point for excursions in the region, and was just a three minute drive from downtown San Ignacio. Living room, kitchen, master BR and baths were spacious. The second bedroom was moderate in size and the third BR a bit small, although it accommodated two twin beds. The house was very clean and comfortable, and the staff managing it was courteous. We felt safe in the area, but like most of the San Ignacio area, there are adjacent properties that are not of the same quality. On a tour, we spoke to a family staying at a lodge and they remarked how they liked the lodge, but it was time consuming to go to town, and they would have preferred a more convenient location in San Ignacio. I would recommend staying in this property.

The house was really nice, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. We loved the location, the house and the staff down and Midas, including Animious the groundskeeper, Andrea at the desk and Robertson the slate artist!!But there were a few issues:- the door was jammed at check-in and we couldn’t figure out how to get in the house, so I had to drive to the resort and ask for help - even though there had been no water at the house all day, no one told us it was turned off, so I made a second trip down to the resort to figure out the issue- even though they knew we had no water for many hours (besides the big bottles ofDrinking water) they never contacted us to let us know when it would be back on or to ask if we needed more water.- the ad said there was a pool, but it was a 5 min drive away at the Midas resort. That was okay, we enjoyed going there each day, but it’s not what I had signed up for- the Midas resort said it had a pool-side bar, but it was mostly closed when we were there because it wasn’t busy- the house gate took muscle to open and close, but they still have us the electronic fob from when it was electric.- Sone unfinished carpentry around the house and some electronics (stereo and PlayStation) don’t seem to work.

Clean, beautiful, a refuge in a busy week.
We loved everything about this house. It was spacious, with comfortable and attractive furnishings, the staff was helpful, kind and personable. It felt like being at a 5 star resort while being in the middle of town. Perfect!! The WiFi worked well. Not always the case in any type of lodging. We loved the local farmers’ market and if we had been there long enough we would have gone there to buy fresh produce for every meal. My only regret was that we didn’t have more time there. Our visit was overly way too quickly.

Perfect home base for 4 days in the Cayo
My family of 4 rented this house, and it was great for our stay! The folks that run it at the Midas resort are friendly and helpful. It was spacious, clean, and we hit the local markets and ate quite a few meals out of the huge kitchen. The two tour companies we used were familiar with the house and were able to pick us up at our doorstep. We loved walking right outside and visiting Cahal Pech! A/C worked great, loved the giant fancy showers. Took advantage of the pool at Midas as well as their laundry service. Great sunset views over the town! A perfect fit for us.

The house was huge and very comfortable for our big family. They had everything we needed to cook and make the house our base for activities while we were in San Ignacio. The house was very clean and the air conditioning was cold, which we loved. The staff at the Midas were very friendly and helpful. We loved that we could be in the privacy of a house but have the pool and bar amenities not too far away.

Nice big place
The house and accommodations we're very nice and amazing location to the Cahal Pech Mayan ruins and great views of the valley. Location to center of San Ignacio town is about 5 minute can ride. The company that manages this property does an excellent job from checkin through checkout. Very welcoming.

Very nice house close to Cahal Pech Mayan ruins
Nice big house with great views of the valley. new appliances and big screen TV's, close proximity to the Cahal Pech Mayan ruins. The employees that greeted and checked us in were also great.

Out of town, but beautiful
Though lovely, there was some lack of information when booking. It's a 20 minute walk to town, and a 30 minute walk to the shared pool. You have to check in at the resort, where the shared pool is. You can get the resort to call you a cab, but they use the app Viber, so make sure you have it before you go to Belize. There were 2 bathrooms, no halfs that we found. We made do with it, but it would have been nice to know how far it was from everything when we were looking.

Great place to relax and chill.
Loved that we could just make ourselves at home and not have the pressures of a hotel etc. It was very well kept and stocked. Beds were wonderful, and baths were well planned.

Wonderful home in San Ignacio
My wife and I along with two other couples recently spent two days in San Ignacio using this house as our base to visit Tikal. The house was lovely. Clean and spacious. A wonderful kitchen and great deck overlooking the city. Overall we loved our visit and would return again.
