About this cabin rental
Were back to vacation rental, after ten years of occupancy, This vintage cabin is clean, cozy and close to everything in Kings Beach. Smile for the camera as we have two surveillance cameras on the property located at the front door and the back door of the property. We are located two blocks off of North Lake Boulevard.
Our cabin has Two bedrooms with loft off the Master bedroom. Two full baths.
The Master bedroom features a queen size pine bedroom set. The second bedroom features a full size bed. The loft features two twin beds with TV/DVD. For additional sleeping, there is a queen futon sofa bed in the living room. Kitchen is fully loaded with the kitchen necessities, coffee maker, toaster, electric skillet. We have board games, cards, movies for entertainment. We also have a horse shoe pit in the backyard.

The outside has enough parking for probably 4 cars. The inside is very clean. We came during a heat wave. There is no a.c. here or in most shops . They provided 2 box fans. We did not find a working outlet in the living room. We felt that it was extremely dark in the home. The beds were comfortable.

1 adult, 3 teenage boys in town for a baseball tournament. Plenty of room for us all. Beds were very comfortable and we all slept well.
Just a couple blocks to Kings Beach.Easy to walk to markets, restaurants, beach, etc.
The house was clean and had all supplies we needed. Tahoe summers are warm and we found 2 big fans that helped tremendously. Bedrooms have ceiling fans which were nice for sleeping.
Easy to find, easy parking. The driveway was big enough for 4 cars (friends met us to walk to the beach). It's very busy there in the summer and we did have someone block one entrance of the driveway for a day. Inconvenient (and rude!), but not the owner's fault. Just a heads up for summer beach goers.
15 minutes to Incline, 20 to Truckee. 5 minute walk to the beach. Really great house, thanks for a nice visit!

The house was perfect for me, my mom, and sister. It is walking distance from public beach access at Kings Beach state park and the main street area with shops and restaurants. The house itself was quaint with everything we needed for a short stay. We loved sitting in the yard in the evening im the quiet neighborhood. Would absolutely come back!

A nice and cosy cabin with a fenced backyard and within a 10-minute walk to the Kings Beach. Great and swiftly responsive hosts. I would definitely recommend this cabin for a family stay.

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for, and the location was perfect. We went during winter (Feb) and all of the Kings Beach shopping and restaurants were open and within walking distance. You can see the lake from the windows, and it’s a short walk to the beach. My boys (4 and 7) loved the loft bedroom with games and TV (house has VHSs and DVDs to play). My daughter (10) had her own room but spent a lot of time up in the loft as well. Beds were comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We had no issues keeping the cabin warm. We plan to book again in the summer!

This is an original cabin, which we loved. If you want a modern techy feel this is not the cabin for you. But if you want to stay in a cabin that has original wood floors, beautiful big old fireplace, and a cute intimate living room, this is the cabin for you. Very close to the lake, restaurants and shopping. And a very large, fenced yard. We enjoyed our stay at this home.

This was a cozy place my family and I enjoyed staying in. The location was convenient right next to the beach and in walking distance of a few family activities.
The kids enjoyed the cute little hidden loft with the two beds. House had all the amenities and we needed and everything was available. Cleanliness was a 10/10.

Very dusty home (nonstop sneezes). Ceiling in living and kitchen area are coming off (all dirt and dust). No beddings for sofa sleeper. Bath upstairs constant water drip all night long. Needs plumbing work (waste of water and knobs might break). Key to front door keeps getting stuck so inconvenient. That needs oil or wd40. It’s a great location and most supplies are provided but house needs some work.

Our family of 4 (with 2 boys, 11 and 14) had a wonderful stay at this house in August. The two bedrooms were comfortable, and one son slept on the pullout sofa which he liked. No one slept in the attic with the two beds - it looked fun, but note that you access it via the upstairs bedroom. The kitchen had nearly everything we needed (note: the only condiments were salt/pepper and sugar). The kitchen table is cozy, but big enough for 4 or you can use the backyard table. There were tons of bath towels which we appreciated. And of course, the location is amazing - about 2 blocks to Kings Beach, and all the shops and restaurants there. The only thing that would have made it even better would be some beach equipment, especially chairs. But next time I'll be sure to bring my own. The owner/manager was also super responsive and helpful!

Well, not so little! The pictures don't do it justice. It is so much larger than it appears. The yard is great, totally fenced for your 4 legged friends, and super handy to the beach and restaurants. No worries about parking, just walk over!.

My wife and I got married two miles south, 15 years ago. We took a cupla kayaks down at 0600 and it was fantastic. Walking distance to the beach. Neighborhood was absolutely fantastic snd just a groovy place. Thank you!

A two story cabin with adorable attic space perfect for reading. Great location that allowed us to walk for coffee, breakfast, dinner, and the beach! Cabin has all the amenities we needed, ez check in and check out. Older cabin has spotty electrical outlets for charging electronics, but the dining nook was perfect for getting work done. Wonderful space.

Our experience at Vintage Cabin in Kings Beach, CA, was thoroughly enjoyable for my family and me. The interior of the cabin was clean and provided a comfortable setting for our stay. While we appreciated the overall experience, there were a few minor aspects that we believe could be improved upon. One such example is the absence of a shade in the secondary bedroom window. This lack of shade allowed the early morning sunlight to stream in, making it challenging to sleep as the sun rose each morning.
On a positive note, the cabin’s location was convenient, as it was close in proximity to Kings Beach and provided easy access to the various amenities available in North Tahoe. This proximity allowed us to explore and enjoy the area.
Overall, our stay at the Vintage Cabin was enjoyable, and with some minor adjustments, it has the potential to provide an even more comfortable experience for future guests.

Everything was exactly as described in the listing. Cabin was clean, location is top notch. Beds were comfortable. Had to communicate once with owners. Response was quick! Most reviews seem to be pretty accurate with regards to lighting and such. I read one that talked about lack of extra toiletries/paper towels etc. Place was fully stocked with extras when we were there. Lots of pots..pans.. dishes etc. Really think the place is ideal for two couples. Bath and beds are separated on the levels which is nice for privacy if its just two couples.. we did not use the loft area so can't talk about it.. Overall we'd stay there again! Thanks!

The cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway in North Lake Tahoe. Really close to the beach and only 15-20 minutes to Northstar. We got caught in a winter storm, but the main roads were reasonably plowed. The neighbors were also incredibly kind and were helping shovel snow in the driveway!

Very nice cabin, well furnished, clean and everything works. Two bedrooms with king beads great for two couples or family of four. Must be willing to climb the ladder to access the two twin beds. Driveway was plowed, heater works well and there is a dishwasher. We plan to stay again.

The property was very clean and charming and convenient to the lake, mountains, groceries and restaurants. It was a bit dark downstairs (as mentioned in other reviews) but it made for a very cozy stay. Please note that no toiletries, including extra toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags are provided. And there was no communication from the owners to personalize our stay. Other than these minor details, we highly recommend this property!

We had a fabulous time at this cute, "vintage" cabin. It's older and rustic, but that's what I like. If you want ultra modern and amenities like hot tub, walk-in shower and big screen tv, this is not the place for you. It is very cozy, beds are super comfortable and it was perfect for the 4 of us and our dog (fenced in yard and location 5 minute walk from the lake was fabulous!). The Duncans were very kind and responsive; there was a mix-up with the housecleaning and it wasn't quite ready by our check-in time (only 1 hour late) but we were offered a late check-out upon departure and that helped us immensely. Would definitely rent this place again! thank you!

Perfect location to walk to Kings Beach. The property was great for us and our dogs as they have a fenced in back yard. You definitely get the Tahoe Cabin feel with the “bear theme” running throughout. A bit funky wiring and a little on the dark side but an enjoyable stay. We will be back again!

We just completed a 4 night stay an absolutely loved it. Walk to restaurants, beach on the lake , and just a very short drive to fun communities like incline village. Awesome to have a fenced yard for the pup. House is set up in a way where couples and families can have great privacy. Great wifi. Most comfortable bed I have seen at Vrbo. We would definitely stay here again.

This is an incredibly charming cabin. It was so much larger than I expected. Well appointed with a large outdoor space and yard. Parking was great and it’s proximity to town made it walkable to beaches and restaurants. The beds were fabulously comfortable, even had great pillows. There is an adorable breakfast nook, great updated kitchen with anything you could need. Clearly this is a well taken care of property.
It was quite warm when we were there but were able to stay cool just by opening windows at night and closing up during the day. The cabin stayed nice and cool all day. Fabulous property, no wait, it was horrible, don’t book it, I want it to be available next time I go there. Lol
