We attended a wedding on Marrowstone staying at this home with sweeping views of the water. The house is well stocked, very clean, quiet to sleep in and close to the beach. Four bald eagles must live nearby. We could hear their cries and see them hunting over the recently cut fields with round hay bales. Felt like watching a Monet painting looking out over the hay bales and the sea. Highly recommend this spot!

This is a gorgeous home on the Sound with beautiful views of the Sound. We used the kayaks and had a delightful day of paddling through water so clear we could see all the wildlife (crabs, starfish, urchins). The gas fireplace was perfect after the sun went down to take the chill off. The gift of locally roasted coffee topped it off for a perfect stay!

Traveled from Texas and wanted to be close to the National Park. This was a very nice house, easy to check into, very well equipped. The view of the full moon was the best treat. Would stay again.

Fantastic view and very quiet. Could hear the waves crashing on the shore from the deck. Lots of wildlife around!

We have stayed here many times. Of recent, every Spring or Summer. It has one of the nicest views (if not THE nicest) on Marrowstone and the property is large, beautiful and peaceful with abounding birds and wildlife. The private beach front is fun to explore and the kayaks can take you on excursions further afield in lovely Oak Bay.
The house itself is clean, simple and comfortable and maybe not for everyone, but it’s all about out location for us! We love it and will probably be back again next year.

Wonderful, but no ac and it was hot. Water was further away than appeared in photos, microwave needs upgrade, we couldn’t figure out how to lock the front door when leaving the house and couldn’t get through to anyone to assist us.

From the minute I drove into the driveway, you could just feel peace. This home has amazing views, and I just loved every minute of being here. I spent many hours on the deck with friends and family just enjoying the day. I even got to see a seal lion!
The kitchen is ultra stocked with whatever kitchen gadget you can think of, including a garlic press!! And yes there is a blender!
Both bathrooms were stocked with towels, and toiletries for the showers/ bath.
The home even has a washer and dryer in the garage. Very handy.
There is plenty of space to put your stuff in the pantry right off the kitchen.
The closet to the right upon entering the home, has books, and many, many game to play.
One day was rainy and chilly- and we turned on the gas fireplace. It was so cozy and relaxing.
When I get back to this part of the US again, I will definitely be looking to see if I could rent this gem again!
I have no complaints about this home, only that I wish I would of stayed more days.

This is such a lovely getaway house for relaxation and enjoying outdoor activities. Loved that there are 4 kayaks to use. We took a lovely kayak trip in the Sound. The house is perfect for 1-2 small families. It has a great space to cook and enjoy meals together. Lots of room for parking outside and one/two spots in the garage. We also saw a few bald eagles that weekend! Highly recommend for people who want to enjoy the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

We enjoyed our stay very much!! It was quiet and peaceful; exploring the beach for treasures was always a “ go to” activity. Towns around are older so have architecture of character!! Everything was cozy; loved the variety of extra blankets that we snuggled in. One of the the nicest places ever!

I cannot say enough good things about this property! It is so clean and well maintained and the property is just stunning. It is quiet and picturesque, the photos don't do it justice. There is a grocery store just 10 minutes away and it is centrally located for visiting the coast, the Olympic National Forest, catching a ferry up north to the San Juans, or Seattle proper, so plenty to do in the area. If you are looking for a quiet getaway in a beautiful location, look no further. I will definitely be coming back here for many years to come.
*NOTE* the heat is controlled by individual thermostats/dials in each room. The thermostat in the main living area controls the gas fireplace, which is the main source of heat for the living room and kitchen. This was not made clear in any of our check-in instructions and the Vacasa customer service people weren't able to help me. The first night was pretty chilly. I figured it out the next day, but would've been helpful to have that guidance upon check-in. Worked great once I figured out how to turn it on!

(VRBO only lets you write 1500 characters, so you'll just get the high (low) points.
You know it's not good when instead of sleeping peacefully in your VRBO the night before checkout, you find yourself awake at 3am thinking about the negative review you're going to write that will focus on ineffectual, nonlocal property management, ridiculous upcharges, and that the majority of the space didn't have heat or water that I would consider hot.
The TL;DR version: (1) The property management/AI ChatBot; didn’t bother to send anyone to fix the (2) nonfunctioning heat, (3) the listing has a low price but comes with high fees, (4) there is no beach at high tide, (5) no complimentary coffee, (6) 10am checkout (but don't worry, they’ll text you for an upcharge!).
The biggest issue of our stay was the Property Management company Vacasa (My rudimentary Spanish translates Vacasa to “Go Home”, which is advice I probably should have taken). A search of the internet for “Vacasa Reviews” leads me to sitejabber.com, which gives Vacasa 1.2 stars out of 5 for 1,191 reviews. Ouch! Their thread on Reddit is also terrible. Know this in advance, prospective visitor!
I notified Vacasa, through their AI ChatBot that the heat was out when I arrived. (It's winter in Washington) Leaving two days later, no human was able to send anyone to fix it.
With about 100 characters left, just avoid this place and find one that looks like it's run by a real person, not a Portland-based company.

This house is even better than it looks in the photos! We had an amazing time and even got a surprise snow storm. Sadly we had to leave a day early because the weather looked so bad for our planned departure day. We would love to come back here. The island is small enough to explore in a day, and Port Townsend is a super cool town nearby. But the house is so cozy that you might not want to leave at all!

We stayed here for the holidays and had a lovely stay. Even in the winter, the views were breathtaking and the house was super cozy. Two bedrooms—the master bed was more comfortable (the second bed was a little squeaky), two bath and a big, comfy living room.

We had a wonderful stay. The place was clean and had everything we needed to cook and bbq. We truly enjoyed our relaxing time here with the beautiful view (amazing sunrises) and walk on the beach.
Thank you.

Beautiful setting with excellent views of Puget Sound and Mount Rainer. Wide open field and complete privacy. The home was clean and tidy and in excellent repair. Exactly as described! We loved the fireplace and cozy living room. Kitchen was fully stocked. Everything we needed for a relaxing couple days. We hope to return!

Spectacular views. Very clean! Felt like home. All the amenities. Will definitely stay here again. Close enough to restaurants and grocery store. Kitchen has all the appliances pots and pans that you need. I have stayed in homes that have had the basic condiments this one does not, so don't forget to bring what you need.

Lovely home in a gorgeous setting. Quiet and restful yet only a short drive to good restaurants, galleries and shops.

This house was beautiful. It was clean, comfortable and very nice. The view was amazing. It has kayaks that were a little difficult to get down to the water but once down there were fun. Bring water shoes as the shore is rocky. We saw dolphins one morning! Would highly recommend this place!!

We love the quiet. The deer in the yard was an added bonus. The beach access is great. Very beautiful property.
5.0 / 5.0
Fablous location with an amazing view, plus short walk to private beach. We loved using the kayaks provided, biking to nearby Flagler State Park, and dining on the deck with views of Puget Sound and Mt Rainer.
5.0 / 5.0
We booked 4 nights at this amazing place. VIEW, VIEW, VIEW! Thats what you are getting. We kayaked, sat outside and dined, we hiked and drove out to Port Angeles for the day for some bike riding and waterfall hikes. Drove out to Port Townsend for some live music by the bay (every Thursday). Its remote but close enough to various towns for shopping & dining.
5.0 / 5.0
Unbeatable views of Puget Sound. Lots of fun to watch all of the cruise ships and freighters pass by (use a ship tracking app to identify the ships). Extremely private property with no one visible between you and the water. Lots of birds, including barn swallows nesting under the eaves of the house that were fun to watch, and bald eagles. The kitchen was fairly well equipped, but many of the pots and pans were heavily used (and abused) by previous users. Overall not too bad, but could use some updating. Nice that kayaks and related equipment are provided, even though we didn't have a chance to use them. Only minor complaint is that the carpets in the bedrooms are rather stained and really need to be replaced. But we would definitely stay here again, for the amazing view and the peaceful setting.
5.0 / 5.0
We loved the windows looking over the water. I found everything I needed on the kitchen to make our meals. It was great to be able to use the kayaks.
4.0 / 5.0
The house was clean and well organized. It has a lovely view looking across the sound. The house is about a 3 to 5 minute walk to a cobble and sand beach with lots of drift wood. The stairs to the beach are a bit rickety and steep, but only about 6 stairs. The kitchen was pretty well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The house is surrounded by birds and so is a great place to birdwatch. One bathroom only had a tub and that did not work and although we tried for 3 days to get it fixed it never worked while we were there. Calls and emails etc seemed to just confuse the management team and they kept promising to send someone.
That meant we were all sharing one shower. The towels were made of some material that had no absorbency whatsoever.

This is so beautifully located. Full view of the sound/sea, deer in the meadow etc. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Many Thanks

The house was very clean and comfortable. My husband and I had a relaxing weekend.
5.0 / 5.0
The house is at the back of a large lot with great views of the sound. The space was perfect for two and would have been great for another couple especially if there were a comfortable chair or two for hanging out in the living room. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was very clean.

Fabulous! Much needed relaxation!
