Totally refurbished and re-landscaped since Ian! Located on a secluded lane just steps off the Gulf bike trail and a short walkb/bike ride to a private Gulf of Mexico beach, this spacious, 2 bedroom / 2 bath beach cottage (sleeps 4) has the best of both worlds—Old Florida charm and completely updated!
Relax with your morning coffee on the enclosed lanai (Florida version of a sunroom!), or just outside in your private backyard, surrounded by mature palm trees—you might just get a visit from an egret, heron, or Ibis! This spacious, cheery cottage has everything you need for your “home-away-from-home” stay—WIFI YouTube TV, 2 flat-screen TVs, updated kitchen and breakfast bar, dishwasher, washer/dryer; as well as all linens, towels, and a fully equipped kitchen. To totally enjoy your island experience, we have two FREE bikes for each suite, plus bike trailers, beach chairs, umbrella, beach wagon-- even beach toys for the kids! Walk the beach for some of Sanibel’s famous shells, or simply relax under the umbrella with a book, and drink in the sounds and smells of the sea—keep an eye out for the dolphins! .
Owners live in the other suite. The suites are separated by a room being updated with a weight bench and extra sleeper couch, so no shared walls, and total quiet and privacy. Back areas separated by a privacy fence.

As described, this property is perfect for vacationing on the beach. Very comfortable, clean, with everything you need in general. The beach is a short distance away and is beautiful. I want to thank Randy and Christine Beckner for their hospitality and kindness during our stay.

We had the best 2 weeks at Shell Seekers! The property is tucked away and very private with a short walk to the beach, bike trails and beautiful neighborhoods to walk through. Chris and Randy are wonderful, thoughtful hosts, who had thought of everything to make our visit special. There are bikes, beach chairs, beach umbrellas a well stocked kitchen and like I said above a beautiful private home to stay in. we couldn't have been happier, the house exceeded our expectations!!

If you are looking for the laid back beach stay, this is it. Everything you need for the Sanibel experience is here. Provided bicycles allowed more intimate exploration (and often more convenient than driving) since bike paths abound. Access to the beach is an easy walk away. A couple days of stormy weather was a bonus because the shelling was incredible after things calmed down. We used those weather days to go house shopping. The charcoal grill was a great way to vary our cuisine. Many spices, starter paper products, full kitchen, etc. made move-in easy. Our two most favorite aspects of this property were the total privacy with excellent vegetative cover, and best of all, how accommodating that Chris and Randy were. Would highly recommend!

My family stayed here for 2 months in January and February and it was great. Everything was as described and Chris was available and responsive if needed, but not imposing on our stay. It had all the furnishings we needed, functional bikes and beach toys, and a nice exercise room. The place is a duplex and we were concerned before our stay that we would have to share our vacation with someone we didn't know. However, the property is large and each side is separated enough (the two spaces don't even share living space walls) that it felt quite secluded. The location was great for our two small kids (2 and 5) as it has zero traffic and a big yard, our favorite restaurants were a short bike ride away, and a 5 minute bike ride around the corner to the beach. We were at the local beach everyday and the sea shells were amazing. We biked to Lighthouse for good fishing and once a week through Ding Darling. We didn't miss the snow and cold back home and hope to back someday!
