About this cabin rental

This family cabin, built by our father in 1964, is a place for families and friends to reconnect while enjoying the wonders of the Tahoe area. The cabin interior is all knotty pine with a local stone gas burning fireplace in the living room. The master bedroom has a queen bed, second bedroom a double bed and a bunkroom that will accommodate four people.

The cabin is just one mile from the lifts of Olympic Valley USA. Officially named Olympic Valley since the 1960 Olympic Winter games, is located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, just off Highway 89, 2 minutes to Palisades Tahoe Lifts, about 13 minutes from Truckee, 5 minutes from Alpine Meadows, 25 minutes from North Star and about 10 minutes from Tahoe City by the lake. The Village at Olympic Valley has numerous restaurants and shops.

This cabin is ideal for families and friends seeking to encompass a unique experience together while vacationing in the beautiful atmosphere of the Olympic Valley/Lake Tahoe region.

We only had a short stay of 2 nights to catch up with the summer of Lake Tahoe, for our family. This is a cozy house with nice locations which met all of our requirements, while the room with 2 bunk beds is perfect for kids/teens. The kitchen area is a bit compact but just fine for our family.

I love my stay at this Cabin. It has everything you need after some days of exploration, plenty of linens, comfortable rooms and beds. We are a group of explorers, the location was just great for our hikes, the river and some lakes plus the main Lake Tahoe just a few miles from the Cabin, the neighborhood is very relax, overall we enjoyed our stayed at this foresty cabin.

We had a lovely time at the cabin. Communication with the host was easy and getting in/out of the cabin was straightforward. We we took advantage of the games available in the rental and made the most of our time in the snow. Thank you, Liz, for being a great host!

We couldn’t be happier we chose Liz’s property to stay at to celebrate our son’s wedding weekend. It was very convenient to all the venues. We liked how cozy it was - very well equipped kitchen, large refrigerator, super comfy beds and family photos hanging in the hallway. It felt so much like home , exactly as Liz’s father who built it must have intended !! Thank you Liz for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. There were some toiletries laid out on the sinks and I’m sure there were more somewhere - we just couldn’t find them .... we found the extra towels so that was super handy given our group had 8 people 😊 Also, maybe we needed to adjust the water heater settings - not sure , but the water got real cold after just one person showered and we had to wait a bit before the next one could go in. All in all very minor issues which if I’d had the time to reach out to her, Liz would have told us how to fix. Highly recommend a stay at the property

A group of eight of us stayed at St. George Estate for a weekend of skiing at Squaw. The cabin itself was very charming and fully outfitted with everything a small group needs to cook meals and shower. The owner is very friendly and communication was great. We will definitely be coming back.

My friends and I had a wonderful time in this cabin during our 3 night stay back in Feb 2012. This home comfortably housed 8 of us adults. It had a fully equipped kitchen for indoor cooking and a Weber grill for outdoor grilling. It also included all the towels and linens so we didn't have to bring our own. The indoor wood stove was a nice touch for the cold nights. Lastly, it had a small stacked washer and dryer though we didn't end up using them during our stay. The only things I would change would be for the owners to take PayPal and/or credit cards, and to provide WiFi at the cabin. They did have satellite TV there though. That being said, the owners are very easy to work with and made sure our stay went smoothly. If I need a place for a group of people to stay very close to the Squaw lifts in the future, I would definitely stay here again.
