About this house rental
Villa Oasis is named after the garden. It has been designed to feel like you are stepping into a peaceful oasis within San Miguel, the main town of Cozumel. Upon entering, you are surrounded by lush, tropical vegetation, the sound of a waterfall, perimeter fountains, and a 1/2-acre lot that is shaded by huge, old mango trees and tall Royal Palms. This sets the ambiance, which is cooling to your senses.
The house has three bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed, a second bedroom has 2 twin beds, and the third bedroom is extremely large with two built-in twin beds and a queen bed. Six people can sleep very comfortably, with a maximum occupancy of 8. There are three full bathrooms in the house.
The living room and dining room are done in Mayan stone, all leading to a bougainvillea covered patio. The living room has a built-in, giant screen TV with a surround-sound system, cable TV, DVD, and CDs. The house also has high-speed wireless internet and Garden speakers for Apple music products.
We are 2 blocks from the ocean and just 10 minutes away from Chankanaab, where you can snorkel, dive, swim with dolphins, and do much more.
The gardener comes daily to clean the yard and pool.
The housekeeper comes every other day to clean and do the linens. She is happy to fix meals daily in the kitchen or garden grill and do the dishes afterward if requested. * Just give her shopping money and your meal request, she'll bring the receipts and change. You'll eat like kings with comfort and convenience. Plus, a homecooked dinner would be a great finale to your day as you sit in the patio and reminisce about your unforgettable day at the beach or your day scuba diving, knowing you are in true paradise!
COZUMEL ISLAND
San Miguel, located on the Island of Cozumel, is a small Caribbean town with an international airport, many restaurants, shops, scuba diving shops, plaza, hotels, shopping centers and the Chankanaab nature marine reserve,
It has several beautiful, sandy white beaches. You can choose secluded ones or you can spend your day jet skiing, paragliding, and more. Visit Punta Sur by kayak or jeep, spend the day wandering around the ancient Mayan archaeological site of San Gervasio, enjoy jungle tours, or see Cozumel's origins at the museum in town. We are a 30-minute ferry ride away from the Yucatan Peninsula's port or Playa del Carmen, where you can spend a day or two visiting the famous ruins of Tulum and Chichen-Itza. Playa del Carmen is only 45 kilometers from Cancun International airport. Cozumel offers many options and yet is definitely a laid back and relaxing atmosphere.
Jeep and car rentals are easy and affordable. The rate is approximately $35 USD per day, and can be delivered to the house.
If you can't decide between Mexico or the Caribbean, why not pick both!

We had a beautiful and relaxing stay at this wonderful property. We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers, and had plenty of room to play and relax. The enclosed yard and pool was fantastic. The housekeeper, Claudia, was amazing.
We had a great stay and would certainly recommend!

Loved the property, house manager and location! It also came with a very friendly cat! Hope to return!

The property is gorgeous. It is truly an oasis the moment you walk through the gate. Everything worked great, Claudia the housekeeper was super helpful and always available when we needed something. I will come back!!

Our stay was perfect. Really was a secret garden once you opened the gait. Beautiful space. Location great and close to everything we wanted. Best of all was Claudia the housekeeper! She went way above and beyond every day. She cooked us dinner and lunch which were delicious as well as providing fruit juice and fresh juice every morning. Will definitely stay here again.

This property is nicely located and Claudia the housekeeper is AMAZING !!
But we unfortunately incurred many issues with the showers. We stayed for 8 nights and there was not one day when we had all 3 showers working with hot water.
We did reach out to Claudia a couple of times and she was helpful in getting the issue fixed for that particular day but annoyingly we would have the same issue the next day. We gave up reaching out as we were trying to enjoy our Christmas holiday and were not keen to keep contacting the housekeeper. After we left, I sent several emails to the owner who was extremely dismissive of the situation and blamed us for not having reached out more often. No apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience was sent. They did provide a very small refund (and 3 free future stays which we explained was of no use to us). The house is large and comfortable and I believe the owners did fix the plumbing issue the day we left :-(

We stayed at Villa Oasis for 9 nights. The location was easy to access from the ferry port. Clodia met us at the house. Max helped us rent a car. After beach/ snorkeling time, we returned to the house and swam. My 3 kids loved the pool. It gets a good amount of shade, so in the afternoon, it was very refreshing. Clodia made us several meals, which we all loved. She also made us fresh juices in the morning. It was a lovely vacation in Cozumel!

The yard is truly an oasis but you don’t live the yard. There was no hot water in bathrooms or KITCHEN for 10 days +.
The beds were disgusting / they finally replaced one mattress. We had workers in and out constantly for over two weeks , no privacy ; you never knew if any one was in the house. The pool was unusable for seniors with mobility issues. The first step into pool was three feet, you could get in but you couldn’t get out, No hand rails! We put some cement blocks in pool to try to get out but very unstable. The pool was green with algae, I have pictures. The water pressure in showers was nothing. You got in shower to get wet and soap up, had to get out of shower go to the sink to rinse off soap off wash rag. NO WATER PREASSURE. They finally offered us a refund for four days if we left immediately but this was our last days and we couldn’t find another rental. We got a one day refund ! They did replace the rusted refrigerator without shelves with a new one. The house and pool would be awesome if it had been maintained as it was it should not have been rented especially for ?dollars for 28 days. I have been coming to Cozumel for 37 years and have stayed in all kinds of accommodations but have never stayed in like this that was in such bad condition. If it was fixed up it would be an amazing home.
VRBO made me delete what we paid in order for review to be published.

We arrived on 04/08/23 for our 3 week vacation in Cozumel. This is our second time staying at Villa Oasis. We were here for 2 weeks about the same time in April. We knew last year we would be back to Cozumel and Villa Oasis.
The house staff is amazing! Last year we had Rosa and we formed a great bond with her however she was not able to be there full time during our stay but she did come and visit with us and made us some amazing meals! We had the pleasure of meeting Claudia this year. We were greeted by her at the gate and welcomed right in. Claudia went above and beyond to assist us with cooking meals and running errands for us. If we asked for something, she just made it appear ( sweets for breakfast). Along with many other examples. She would make sure we had taxis when we needed them, to go exploring. Prepared fresh fruit daily with breakfast. She always said good morning and told us bye in the evenings if we were there. She speaks limited English and we spoke limited Spanish so we did use google translate often. It worked just fine. The groundskeepers and pool guy kept the yard wonderful. They even had to come pick all the ripe mangos that were falling into the pool! We do think we upset the yard guy when we put some leftover popcorn in the grass for the birds and Bruno, the resident turtle. So we won’t do that again, he looked at us like we were nuts.
This house has all you need to be comfortable and relaxed. We will be back again next year!!

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at Villa Oasis immensely! The location is perfect - just a short walk to any number of excellent restaurants and cafes, to the central plaza, or to the ocean. The private garden and pool were definitely the highlight for our kids! Max was very responsive and helpful, suggesting several outings, coordinating taxis, and arranging for a ride on a glass-bottom boat. The house-keeper, Claudia, was lovely. We ate a delicious home-cooked meal made by Claudia and her husband. We felt very safe, secure and comfortable during our stay. We highly recommend Villa Oasis!

This house is close to everything you will want in a Cozumel vacation. The grocery store is a couple blocks away and we ate at many different restaurants within walking distance. Rosa cooked for us a couple of meals that were delicious and we had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Our dive shop was also within walking distance. During our stay we did take a cab to a beach club since downtown Cozumel doesn’t have a sandy beach. That being said the outdoor garden and pool are well maintained so you may just stay at the property. The best part of our vacation was going to Mingos, a bar/restaurant across the street. His steaks are the best I have ever had in Mexico!

We had a really nice stay at Villa Oasis! The garden and the pool are both amazing! We spent many hours lounging and swimming. The plants are beautiful and you feel like you are miles away from the town even though everything you need is a very short walk away!
The house is spacious and very comfortable. We had some issues with the showers, the temperature was tough to regulate but we managed. We used the fans a lot but there is air conditioners for the extra warm days.
Rosa is wonderful! She prepared a couple of dinners for us, it was nice to have a great meal at home, especially with the baby asleep down the hall. There were leftovers as well and we were able to enjoy the cooking ourselves a couple of times.
There was a crazy rain storm that caused flooding all over town and the pool was affected. Rosa and the pool maintenance man took care of everything and the pool was good as new very quickly. Thank you for that!
The house is a bit rustic but we loved it and would happily rent again!

We spent close to a week at this property. I had debated whether or not to go with an all-inclusive but am SO glad we did not. It was fabulous to get more of a slice of Mexico and walk down to the shops and restaurants which were all close, but the walk was lovely and allowed us to see less touristy restaurants, shops and little bars etc. The garden is as-promised, an Oasis with a pool. The house has a truly authentic feel with plenty of room and all amenities. The highlight of the stay here was meeting the housekeeper Rosa. She made us a FABULOUS meal on our 2nd night, including a flan for my birthday. The leftovers literally carried us through the week in terms of snacks and lunches. She was charming and highly adept with Google Translate. I would return here in a minute. Thankyou Clodia and Rosa. xoxox

We had a couple of issues when we arrived. I called the property manager and he was able to send some men to partially fix the issue that evening and had it completely fixed the next day.
Rosalia is the cook/housekeeper. She is the nicest and kindest person. She was always able to help when we needed her no matter what we needed. The house is very charming and spacious. The outdoor space is well maintained and kept clean. Pool water was chilly though. Perfect location to so many restaurants and 2 grocery stores just a few blocks away. This house is very close to town so it is noisy to the traffic and music from a near by restaurant. But well worth our stay.
The only thing I wish it would have had is a washer and dryer. Possibly have housekeeping do our laundry on the premises for a additional fee. I would have liked to use Rosalia for some of our meals but it seemed pricey. Breakfast would have cost us $35 plus the cost of the food and an additional tip for 4 people. Lunch and dinner would be a lot more.
Everyone in my family really liked this house and said they would stay hear again.

New home way from home!
We arrived as a group of 6 looking for a nice relaxing vacation in Cozumel for 12 days.
Let me tell you, the photos do not do the property justice!
All of our jaws dropped when we opened the gate and entered the “Oasis!” Absolutely stunning and welcoming.
Rosa met us and was eager to show us our home for the week. She was all smiles!
You will find what an amazing person she is!
All of the bedrooms are spacious with more than enough storage to put all your belongings away. The bathrooms are not luxurious but fully adequate, clean and functional. We were not looking for a modern, slick property so this was fine for us. We wanted a more traditional Mexican home. All the bedrooms have tvs which we never turned on one time. Kitchen is stocked with all you could need to cook, but what wouldn’t when you can have Rosa make you amazing made from scratch meals!! (We did do some cooking)
We had some of our Rosa made dinners outside in the outdoor dining area. The atmosphere made the whole experience even better. Hearing the trees rustling in the breeze and the sun setting.
We were in the pool EVERYDAY!! Our goal was to relax and have time to do nothing peppered in with seeing the local sights and dining options. We walked to the Mega grocery store numerous times and then took a cab back since we had too much to carry.
Rosa did all the shopping for the meals she was making for us. We gave her money for groceries and she brought back the receipts and change. We had fresh seafood, vegetables and fruits. And her desserts..oh my!! You have to have the Flan!!
And as if there needs to be more, there is a turtle whole lives on the property and makes his rounds in the morning. Rosa left me little bowls of fruit to share with him
There is a garage if you would like to rent a car. We walked a good bit but had the numbers of a few taxi drivers who would come right to the house Rosa also called for larger taxi when we needed one.
Our only regret was having to leave and not eating more meals that Rosa cooked. She will make food and leave for you to reheat later or have ready at times you would like to eat.
We see already planning our next trip this fall and will be back to Villa Oasis for sure. We will be bringing our family here as well!
Please, please, please, take care of Rosa she is amazing ! She speaks Spanish but has google translate. Be ready to laugh with her as somethings get lost in translation!!

The yard is everything!
The Yard is wonderful, the ambience is fabulous. We enjoyed laying the by the pool, swimming and eating the fruit from the trees. I highly recommend this house for anyone who want a chill house with a great place to hang out. Also, Rosa the housekeeper is lovely and always ready to make a great meal. The location of the house is great for walking all around the main city of cozumel, to bars, restaurants and the store, but this house is nowhere near a beach. We took a taxi to buccanos beach which was lovely.

This House is a GEM!!!
Little oasis in town close to everything and very convenient. We could walk to stores and restaurants. The house itself is a bit on the rustic side with some quirks (showers are touchy, hot water in kitchen takes a bit to warm up, finishes are not brand new, etc.), but we could not have been happier. It is a little slice of heaven right in town. VERY clean with everything we needed. Lots of extras like large, soft pool and bath towels, plenty of kitchen towels, extra TP, plenty of drinking water, fans in every room (so opening up is an option) outside fans and candles for lovely evenings, bug spray, sunscreen, styrofoam cooler for the beach, etc. Rosa is THE BEST - she does as much or as little as you want. The other caretakers (pool, lawn) were very respectful of our time - limiting their time and coming when we were not using the PERFECT yard and pool!! We rented a car and we were able to park in the garage and even given a garage door opener. It is in town so of course there is some normal noise when using the pool and yard (dogs, traffic, neighbors, construction), but the privacy, beauty and amenities more than make up for it. The Wi-fi was strong and reliable. We will stay here again.

Cozy convenient and tons of character
We loved our stay here. The house is really charming and backyard beautiful and well maintained. There is some construction going on across the street but we were aware in advance so we just dealt with it. It wasn't too bad. Rosa is the jewel of the house with her gracious attitude and amazing cooking. Would highly recommend this little hidden gem

Cozumel Christmas
We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa Oasis! Rosa is just a true gem and we absolutely adored her. The food she cooked for us was amazing, and we left feeling like she was part of our family.
Overall the house was spread out well, but it was a little annoying only having bathrooms in the bedrooms. It made it inconvenient for early morning risers. It would have been nice to have a little powder bath out by the living area. The floors at the house are very rough on feet, and we wished we had brought slippers to wear around. There is also no washer and dryer, but there is a great Lavanderia about 1 minute away, and we used it twice.
Make sure you have Rosa cook you some yummy food - and visiting Mingo’s around the corner is a MUST!! We left feeling like he was family also.
We loved our time in Cozumel

This place is awesome
Check in was easy, communicatiion with the property manager was great. The house in perfectly located within walking distance to everything.
Rosa! Can’t say enough about her. She cooked breakfast for us every morning, the food was fantastic.
The house has a beautiful outdoor space that’s perfect for gathering with family to relax after a long day.
Stay here, you won’t regret it.
Go to Mingo’s for drinks and dinner. Stop by the day before you want to eat and let him know what you want, do not miss the Ceviche and the burgers and steaks are great. Mingo’s is a 20 second walk from the house, literally.

Cozumel Perfection
As a family of divers we wanted a place that was in town so we could walk every where we wanted to go and the dive pier, but private so w could relax and enjoy ourselves with my 2 grandsons. This home fit the bill perfectly. Everything we needed we could and did walk to. The house is clean, not new but cared for. Rosa made us supper and several breakfasts which were very good. We only had one supper as we like to sample local restaurants. 3 separate bedrooms with private washrooms, pool, large dining area, living room, several outdoor cabanas made it easy to be together or have some private time.

Wonderful people & beautiful garden
We had a lovely stay at Villa Oasis in Cozumel!
The biggest highlight are the two AMAZING people we interacted with. Rosa is the home's housekeeper and she is such a gem. She is so warm and welcoming, generous with her time, and cooks delicious food! We loved getting to know her and felt like she was taking care of us as if we were a part of her family. She truly puts a lot of love in the food she cooks and her lemonade was LIFE CHANGING.
Then there was Mario who is equally fantastic! He met us when we arrived and helped us with any issues that came up (we had problems with the internet the 2nd day we were there and he spent 2+ hours making sure everything was fixed even though it was Sunday!). My partner ended up having some scuba diving-related health issues and when I was dealing with the panic of needing to get him to the hospital, Mario came over within minutes to help me get him there and checked in on me constantly. We are so grateful for his kindness and help.
As for the home, the garden and pool are the true highlights. It truly does feel like a little oasis in the middle of downtown with easy access to everything you need.
A few cons to note - the house itself is much more dated than it appears in the photos and need a pretty solid refresh/renovation (chipping paint, rusted appliances, parts of doors breaking off, broken tiles, some old/stained furniture, very dated bathrooms, etc.). Also, it likely comes with the territory of being in a house with a massive tropical garden, but there were lots of small ants in the kitchen (don't leave any items on the counters) and we did unfortunately see two dead cockroaches in the kitchen and some live roaches in the garage area. (The fun side of this is that we also saw an awesome turtle in the garden and enjoyed beautiful birds singing every morning!) There is also construction of a large building across the street - didn't bother us very much but you might hear some drilling/banging noises while that's going on.
Overall - we had a great stay here and would recommend it as long as you are comfortable with a more dated home. The people and garden/pool are truly what make it fantastic, so if that's what you're looking for in your travels you will be very happy here!

Very private house
The home is very private, plenty of space for 6-8 people with a beautiful pool and lush landscaping. The host and staff were exceptional at communication and with check-in/out. Rosa the housekeeper was amazing and so kind! She served us (family of 5) breakfast everyday and made us feel very welcome. The home is large, larger than the photo's show, the pool was fantastic for the kids, huge lush yard and the garage was a plus for our rental car.
Reluctantly the negatives for our family was:
There's a 4 story building being built directly over the pool area across the street that is not shown on the website photo's. So expect lots of hammering and drilling throughout the day, workers looking on.
Last, the house is rustic and we understood this, however it could use some updating based on comfort, especially the master bed and bath.
Over-all a wonderful house with fanastic staff.

Truly an Oasis
My Family just returned from an amazing 11 day stay at the Oasis. We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the property. There are soooo many thing I could say but it will be difficult to include everything so I will try to go over the high points. My family has been to Cozumel now 4 times and have always enjoyed doing the resort thing but this time wanted to spend more time getting to know the island and the culture it has. Staying at the Oasis gives you just that opportunity. Not only does the house give you that feel but you seem close to everything. From shopping to excellent food and bars. If need be anything is easy to get to by cab and very cheap fares. The highlight of the property though is that if you would like you can just stay in and relax. Saving the best for last is to discuss the people that take care of the Oasis and you while you are there. Rosa is one of the most amazing people we have ever met. I have to say I was a little apprehensive about having someone cook and clean when renting a VRBO. We have rented VRBO'S before and we just left when the cleaning was being done but with Rosa things are different. She was so loving to my family that she felt like having family with us. When she cleans you hardly know she is doing it and it doesn't make you feel uncomfortable at all. The biggest thing about her is that there is no better cook on the island. Everything she did from simple breakfasts to empanadas, enchiladas and cooking our fish we caught was some of the best food I have ever had anywhere in all my travels around the world!!! She is truly the gem of the property. The one thing I would ask is that anyone that stays just take care of her, (tips) she deserves it. She is very humble and so sweet. We will miss her she really felt like family when we left. Lots of hugs to her from my wife and the kids. Mario was also very helpful in making sure our needs were met and setting up our departure COVID tests which were very easy to complete at the International Hospital. Mauricio the owner also stopped in to say hi and make sure we were enjoying our stay. He was very kind and I really enjoyed our conversation. Bottom line we will be back and when we do come back we will be at the Oasis!!!! See you guys soon.

Why a 4 instead of a 5
The property was lovely, well kept and had lots of seating and lounge chairs plus a lovely pool. Rosa the house keeper was friendly and kept the house neat and tidy as well cooking us good breakfasts. The only problem my husband and I had was the mosquitoes. We got many itchy bites.

Absolute Perfection
Villa oasis was the perfect place for our family. The grounds were gorgeous and the pool was refreshing after a long hot day of adventure. Rosa was the queen of the breakfasts and made sure we had full bellies every morning. We have already begun to recommend Villa Oasis to everyone we meet.

A Hidden Gem
We were so fortunate to call this sweet casa "home" during our visit to Cozumel. Everyone was attentive and made sure that our visit was enjoyable, relaxing and we felt very well taken care of and completely safe. This made our vacation really relaxing and stress free! Rosalia, the housekeeper, made breakfast in the mornings and kept the house tidy and organized. We communicated with her using translation apps and enjoyed her company very much! Clodia, Israel and Hanns answered emails quickly and made sure any needs were met immediately and with kindness. The house is absolutely beautiful! The gardens are gorgeous and the pool refreshing! Everything was clean and I love how simple, elegant and unique the house decor is. There was plenty of drinking water for guests.
Do note that leaving the doors open is lovely but there are mosquitos (like most any other place). The only issue we had was with water; the pressure and heat were tricky but when we asked for help, maintenance was sent right away. The flushing was problematic in 2 of the 3 bathrooms but it is my understanding that this is being looked into. Despite these manageable things, the house was perfect in every way for our crew of 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 9-12).
The Mega is only a couple of blocks away; you can get everything you need there (food, toiletries, etc.) including a taxi to take you anywhere on the island. It is a short walk to many great restaurants, a laundromat (you pay by the weight of the items to be laundered) and the shops.
I highly recommend Villa Oasis and appreciate everyone who works to make this casa your home away from home while on vacation!! :)

Great spot in downtown San Miguel Cozumel.
As the name implies, Villa Oasis is a lush beautiful home in a great neighborhood. The housekeeper/cook if you need her, is wonderful and the grounds keeper grooms the property. Lot of great restaurants in walking distance. Great place for divers or if you just want to relax.

Great family vacation.
We stayed with 2 adults and 4 kids. Ages 5-11. Rosa has breakfast ready each morning for us and did a wonderful job making us feel welcomed. The property was as nice as the pictures showed and we had a great time! Would defiantly stay here again.

Villa Oasis
We had a wonderful time at the villa ,the location was close to most amenities and a brisk 10 minute walk to the ferry and center.
Many good restaurants close by try Cielito Lindo within a 10 minute walk ,good vibe and good food.
Beaches are not free in Cozumel and we avoided all the big name clubs as they are a rip off!Go to Skyreef they do not bug you and are happy if you just buy a drink. The snorkeling there is as good as any tour and a lot of marine life!!
The villa is in need of a few updates but the outdoors is as beautiful as the photos ,we spent a lot of time outside and in the pool.
Hanns the property manager is always on call and does a great job,Rosa the housekeeper is a true gem, always available to help and does a superb job at keeping the house organised and cooks a great breakfast.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the villa to all future guests.

We would give more stars if we could.
Everything about this VRBO experience from start to finish was excellent. The people were all excellent. From the start, the communication with Clodia once the booking was made put us at ease. Hanns was excellent in coordinating our arrival and being available to us to make sure we were settled in. Silvia was a sweet, sweet lady who took care of the house every day while not feeling intrusive. She was very gracious and polite and really personable even though I speak very little Spanish. Adolfo was great with taking care of the grounds while letting us enjoy our space. We can’t speak highly enough about the people. We traveled with three children under the age of 6 and had two “accidents” during nap one afternoon where they wet two separate beds. We asked Hanns if we could get some clean sheets to take care of it til the next day. Instead, Silvia came back, cleaned the sheets AND the kids blankets, clothes and stuffed animals that afternoon. She was also an excellent cook when we had her make us breakfast.
The house itself was as gorgeous as advertised. Clean, ample fans to stay cool during the day and fully functioning AC units in each room. (Which we only used at night). We spent most of our time in the lucious outdoor space. The pool was a hit with the whole family and all of the sitting places were so relaxing. We were only in the house to sleep. You are in town but feel so far away because of the greenery. We felt so safe and secure.
We will definitely rent this space again. Within walking distance of the grocery store and downtown restaurants and the ocean. Ample lit street parking if you are renting a vehicle. The people really made this trip special. First time users of an international VRBO. We have been coming to Cozumel every year for over a decade. It was our best vacation in Cozumel yet.

Beautiful Place
Property is just as described - no unpleasant surprises. The location is conveniently located near plaza, Mega Store and lots of corner convenience stores, laundry mat are all within easy walk. Hanns greeted us and was very knowledgeable and friendly. Clodia handled the online transactions professionally and timely. Very large property, we felt safe and had an enjoyable stay. Will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house, great location
Charming house, just as pictured on web site. Comfortable beds, relaxing family room, great patio. The pool's very nice -- a little too cold for us to use in December though. As all the other reviewers mentioned, Sylvia is a gem. She's a lovely person, and an incredible cook. We had her pull together two dinners for us and they were probably better than any of our restaurant meals (and much cheaper!). The location of the house is also great -- a 5-10' walk to all the restaurants, bars, port, etc.
I did have to deduct one star due to the neighborhood dogs. I wouldn't say it's a constant barking, but it's very frequent and goes from 7:00 AM until midnight. I have to admit, it did get a bit annoying trying to relax in the patio with the barking, or going to bed and listening to the dogs wind each other up. I'm told that's pretty common for Cozumel, so maybe it would be that way everywhere. I would probably still stay here again, but I was surprised that none of the other reviewers mentioned this.

a slice of heaven...
The house is spotless, Silvia is such a wonderful housekeeper. The property is very well kept by Adolfo who is there bright & early. Afolfo & Silvia are very pleasant people always helpful & eager to please. They really went above & beyond to make our stay as wonderful as possible. Silvia’s cooking is out of this world! Everything she makes is delicious & we all enjoyed the meals she prepared. I cannot say enough about the time we spent at Villa Oasis in Cozumel. Thanks Deb for all the helpful information. Adolfo & Silvia, we thank you from the bottom of our heart. The best family vacation by far!

Perfect Oasis!
I cannot say enough great things about this house. My family and I visited Cozumel for Ironman and vacation, and the house is perfect for both. The location is excellent for Ironman competitors (2 or 3 blocks from the finish line), with plenty of privacy and a welcome retreat for those who may be watching the race. The location is also perfect for vacation, only walking distance from many restaurants, supermarkets and a busy shopping area, as well as a very easy location for finding cabs for further excursions.
Housekeeping and property maintenance/gardening were outstanding...the housekeeper and gardener were efficient and respectful and their services were very appreciated. The house and property are truly an oasis, and I would highly recommend this property for a family of 5 or more or two families for sharing. You will have everything you need to rest and relax in this location.
Lastly the communication and assistance from the property management was fantastic. We were warmly welcomed at the property, walked through the ins/outs of the house and given many great suggestions for ideas around the island. I cannot thank the property staff enough for the thorough communication both prior to the trip and during our stay, as well as the willingness to be "on call" at any time while we were there and just making us feel welcome.

The house was amazing. The best part was the beautiful back yard. It truly is an oasis.
The property was delightful and exactly as specified. The house was large and well designed, we spent countless hours by the pool and enjoying the shaded backyard. The housekeeper Silvia was wonderful and kind. She made us feel right at home. Hanns made us feel so comfortable- starting with great directions and helpful hints on where to go on the island. He arranged a fantastic tour for us and was so accommodating to our needs. Everything was fantastic!

We have stayed at Villa Oasis many times, it is our favorite spot on the island! So accessible to shops, great restaurants, groceries, etc. The garden is beautiful. The bedding was also so comfortable.

Loved Villa Oasis
Our family had a great week at Villa Oasis. We loved the house itself & the grounds were a special feature. The photos really don't do justice to how nice the yard is... the pool, fountains, immaculately landscaped grounds. Adolfo came every morning to quietly tend to pool and plants, keeping everything perfect; he was a pleasure to be around and speak with. We enjoyed each morning at Oasis with coffee by the pool before venturing out to explore the island. The home is in a dense residential neighborhood, but inside the gate the property felt completely private, isolated and safe. It was an easy walk to the center of town, but far enough away that we didn't feel the reach of the cruise ship traffic.
The house itself was very comfortable, spacious and had a lot of character. Comfortable beds, well-appointed kitchen, plenty of dishes, utensils, etc. Sylvia raised our experience from good to great. She is an impeccable house-keeper, and as other reviewers have noted, an outstanding cook. We took advantage of her shopping & cooking services for several meals, all of which were incredible local fare. We had friends on the island a few blocks away, and one night had them all over for a dinner party served around the grounds... for this we gave Sylvia a couple days' notice & she arranged for her niece to join her to cook for our party of (14). She was extremely pleasant, courteous and unimposing. Fortunately, Maggie speaks fluent Spanish, making our communication with Sylvia and Adolpho much easier. Would have been interesting otherwise.
Only one suggestion for improvement... Sylvia also stocked the house daily with a stack of beach towels, which was great. We didn't see anything about that in the property description. Had we known, we would have avoided packing a lot of extra bulk and weight. Might be worth calling out more clearly.
Tip for the island... Our goal was to find the places on the island less travelled by the crowds. In general, most of the island is built around the cruise ship crowds, very commercial. It took us a while to find the quieter local spots, but some do exist. We had a hard time finding any useful guide books or maps before the trip or on the island. After returning, I found a great set of three large Guide Maps... Old-school folding maps, 6-sides in total, with as much info as a good book. Wish we had them before we left: "Cozumel MapChick Map & Guide". Google it.
