Pleasant for shorter stay.

A good location to town centre.

This B&B was basic so would not recommend for long stays. I also feel an improvement would be to provide access through the front of the pub out of hours. Due to needing to use the back door an additional 10minute + walk was required to get to town. This was very difficult as someone who has slight mobility issues and not being local finding the route around. I had asked if the front door could be opened and was advised this isn’t possible.

Good value.

Great value for a cosy twin bed room close to the centre of Bury. Comfortable beds, nice inclusion of tea making facilities, helpful staff about facilitating an early check in.

Could have done with a dust and a couple of little extras like a handtowel hook/ rail in the bathroom.

Good freindly host providing a hassle free one night stay in the town centre.

Did not use option of breakfast,i may have overslept and missed out and did not want any wastage of food as a result.

Nothing really, it was just what i required for one night.

It was decent value for the money & a good central location but very basic -don't expect any frills!

the breakfast was good. The staff member in the evening was helpful. Coffee and a hairdryer were provided in the room. The parking was really useful.

Room looked out onto the main street which was very noisy into the wee small hours. Staff member in the morning was rather brusque. Food in the evening was no longer being served due to staff shortages - would have been useful to know this in advance rather than arriving after a 9 hour drive to find we had to go out again to get food. Room was ok although lots of miscellaneous 'stuff' shoved down the side of the wardrobe area.

Good place to stay, very convenient ... close to town centre and cathedral.

Breakfast very good ... though I had to leave before breakfast on Sunday as I needed to be at an appointment at 9am.

The courtyard outside was a little noisy on the Friday night ... though I expected this as I was staying at a pub.

Improvement needed

The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel is in a good location within the town

Staff didn't seem that bothered in their guests they don't do evening meals which is fine as the town centre is 2 mins away but they include breakfast however when I went down in the morning the area was locked and no staff were around this was 30 mins after advertised breakfast start time I left the hotel 30 mins after this and still no staff available

Exceptional

The Westgate was very comfortable and clean . Although basic The rooms had everything you needed for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was included and very nice. Great value for money. We will definitely book again .

Definitely recommend, will be staying again.

I had to leave before breakfast was served, but I look forward to having a breakfast next time I stay at the Westgate.

I had a bit of trouble operating the remote control for the TV, but that was probably user error!

Very nice look forward to coming back

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff and loved the dog. Will come back again. Bury is my home town and I have family there which we managed to catch up with. Hope to see you all again soon.

Good location and value for money.

Location is very good, free parking, coffee at breakfast was really good, breakfast was good, would of been nice to have the option of brown bread for toast, and scrambled eggs instead of fried.

Can't think of anything to be honest, just to have more options for breakfast would be an improvement.

Perfect for visiting Bury.

The location was perfect, close to the town centre so that I could walk anywhere, Free Parking is always a preference. The breakfast was a good traditional full English that set me up for the day ahead.

Our advice would be if you’re looking to park your car at the venue don’t book the Westgate

Unfortunately we were very disappointed on arrival we enter through the front entrance to enquire where the parking laws as this was part of the requirement for us to stay at the venue which was listed on Booking.com that parking was available. We were told to drive to the rear of the property where there is car parking available however on arrival at the car park, The parking was extremely limited and there were no spaces at all available. Due to this we were unable to stay at the property and had to look for another option as car parking was a necessity for us Our advice would be if you’re looking to park your car at the venue don’t book the Westgate
