Ezmeralda's is a classic 1920' s renovated bungalow, offering 748 sq.ft. of total charm, comfort, coziness, and cleanliness. This two-bedroom bungalow is fully furnished, including a fully equipped kitchen. Accommodates 4 guests comfortably. Children welcome. Excellent for all occasions! Stay with us when participating in events at The Spire, girl's getaway, family vacations, Mom and daughter retreat, couples R & R weekend, solo trip, gathering of friends, " time out" weekend, the list goes on.
A fifteen-minute walk takes you to our historic downtown to enjoy the small-town atmosphere, along with our specialty shops, restaurants, churches, etc. Our famous Geneva on the Lake, a.k.a "The Strip" is 4.5 miles, a short 10-minute drive. The Spire Facility and Interstate 90, 2.5 miles from our location. Numerous wineries are within a 10-mile radius, The Grand River, 3 miles away, The Geneva State Park includes a beach, boating, hiking trails, on and on! It is an excellent area to visit!

Included, our beautiful woodland area, which sets the mood for your own private outdoor adventure. A unique outbuilding, known as "THE WINE SHACK," is located in the woodland area. * Ezmeralda's is artistically filled with vintage treasures and modern touches throughout. A distinctive blend of furnishings and accessories, creating an eclectic atmosphere of "perfectly imperfect! " The sitting room, consisting of 2 walls of windows enhances the room with natural lighting. The cottage wicker furniture calls you in to sit down, put your feet up, and relax. Do some bird watching! Natural lighting embraces all the rooms throughout this bungalow. Of the two bedrooms, each one provides a full size (double) bed, dressed in new bedding and accessories, all linens, pillows, blankets, etc. are provided. The serene ambiance of these charming bedrooms provides you with a good night's sleep! From the 1920s, the original double drain board sink completes the fully equipped classic bungalow kitchen. Original hardwood flooring throughout. The bathroom boasts the original 1920's free standing soaking tub, with an overhead shower. Towels, shampoo, soaps, etc. provided. All you need are your personal belongings! This bungalow is a must-see! Come check us out!

Everything about our stay was great! Jan thought of every detail. The house has so many amazing pieces of art, trinkets and antiques. The house is a short drive to the strip and wineries.

Ezmarelda's was a perfect spot for a 2 night stay as we transitioned to being empty-nesters. The house itself is charming and though small, had every single thing we could have come up with needing. The treasure for us is the outside, especially the wine shed overlooking three acres of beautifully landscaped woods that visitors can explore. Jan, the owner, is a delight and not only is extremely responsive, she anticipated what we needed. All of her recommendations for local attractions were spot on. We can't wait to come back.

A Gem of a cottage , very welcoming front porch and purple door- my fav! We had a walk around with the owner.Jan when we first arrived. She showed us around and gave us a tour. All the amenities were included and that was a perk! The whole place was so very clean, I do not take cleanliness lightly, so this was so refreshing. ( My standards are high- and this home met them all!) Kitchen appliances, cookware, silverware/ dishware were perfect. I have stayed in many VRBO’s and finding utensils to cook is usually a challenge. Not here!!I felt so at home. Jan has made a creative , light filled aura with vintage/ antique and artwork pieces throughout the comfy space.

I stayed at this location while my daughter was spending a weekend at Spire Institute. The place was phenomenal. Absolutely gorgeous and relaxing. So many minor details throughout. Lot of history within this bungalow and the views around the gardens and sheds are breathtaking. Close enough to walk to restaurants. Jan and Joe were wonderful hosts! Will stay here again!

The property is stunning. So relaxing, I felt right an ease. Everything you may need, Jan has supplied it and more. The first night I had a soak in the claw foot bath tub. So relaxing! Jan had all the soaking supplies you would need and more.
I spent every morning at the outside table with coffee in hand watching the birds and looking at beautifully landscaped yard. The basement is a parents and kids dream. All kinds of neat things to do including panting
Now.. for the wine shack. My FAVORITE place to be. Jan supplied fire wood, candles and just an awesome, relaxing place to sit and take in the beautiful woods.and fire. I hope to post pictures.
On the evening of our anniversary. Jan had cut fliers from her garden he the wine sack and made sure there plenty of candles. Not to mention bug spray. Just in case.
There was a storm one night and there was many options on the tv to watch a movie. I went directly to Netflix The only other app I used was pandora. But it’s all there at your finger tips.
Jan is awesome and she has created a beautiful relaxing place to just get away from everything and just enjoy the beauty of nature

Esmeraldas is like walking into a little bit of heaven. It is in perfectly perfect. The house is Cozy and decorated so nicely. The garden shed is a special place too have coffee and the yard is unbelievable. Plus it’s a short walk to the downtown area, coffee and rest.

My 14 year old daughter had a week long soccer camp at Spire and I needed a place to stay. I brought my bike from Montana and spent the week biking and birding. Ezmeralda's was perfect! I got a couple of life birds right in the very bird friendly yard, and enjoyed the peace of the extensive in town treed property. I grilled out and enjoyed the nearby wineries. The host Jan knew my interests from my reservation and had already done research for me that made my stay even better! All this and only 5 minutes from Spire! I would give 6 stars if I could. If my daughter wants to return to Spire I look forward to staying at Ezmeralda's again! Thank you Jan!

Walking into Ezmerelda's was like stepping into a fairy tale. Jan was super acommodating and made suggestions to local shops and restaurants that we really enjoyed. The house has so many small details that made our stay comfortable. yet the decor was so artsy, we felt as if we were in a storybook cottage! This VRBO also has an outdoor setting with two lovely areas to relax and or take a stroll. We will definitely stay here again!

40th anniversary, perfect getaway. House was so clean, could eat off the floor! So many beautiful details in the house. Yard was spectacular! We had a fire in wine shed, beautiful evening, wine fire and music, life is good. Jan was amazing, we needed nothing, all was in that house. I've been to Ezmerelda's 3 times now and love it more each time! It's my "go to" place for time away with my best friend or boyfriend. A fire at the wine shack soothes my soul. I love watching the birds at the feeders and seeing all the wonderful plants bloom. Jan, the hostess, is a steward of wildlife and plant propagation and the gardens are simply beautiful. Lots of little restaurants, wineries, and antique shops nearby.

This house was so cute and clean and full of character. My daughter and I visited Geneva for a state sporting competition at the Spire. The house was situated close to everything we needed. Jan took such good care of us, it was as if she was an old friend. The house was well beyond expectations and wished I could have enjoyed it on a longer stay. Maybe next time!

Ezmeralda's is an immaculate, beautifully maintained and super clean property. The decor is so charming! Jan is a wonderful host who checked to see if everything was ok and to see if I needed anything during my stay. The bungalow is well supplied and has everything you could need including internet, plenty of plugs, mirrors, games, blankets, kitchen supplies and bathroom amenities. The backyard is large with lovely landscaping and lighting. The Wine Shed is a must see/use with candles, firewood, comfortable seating and a serene wooded view. Be sure to check out all the owner photos to see everything the property offers. Highly recommend!!

Jan has a fabulous 3 acre property with stunningly beautiful gardens and walking paths to enjoy. She also has two separate structures on the property to relax and enjoy nature! The house is wonderfully appointed. Jan has thought of everything you could possibly need during your stay. Beds are comfortable. House is exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated in vintage pieces and Jan's eye for decorating is fabulous! Jan is a marvelous hostess! This is our second stay in Ezmeralda. You are 10 minutes from Breakwater Beach on Lake Erie and very close to the "Strip" in Geneva where you can enjoy nightlightlife. We are looking forward to our next stay at Ezmeralda and, of course, to see Jan! Would give Jan and Ezmeralda an unlimited number of stars if that were possible. Love this place and Jan!

Jan was so welcoming when we arrived and showed us the home and the property. Her flower gardens are just as beautiful as her soul. She checked to make sure we did not need anything and had all basic needs. She was great with the kids and my little girl absolutely loved her❤️ waking trails and sitting areas outside is what I needed to relax from the “real” world. We will definitely be back.

This property was above and beyond even what we expected from the listing! The attention to detail in anticipating their guests needs, the charming and comfortable home, the amazing property itself … everything about this cottage invites you to settle in and stay longer!
We could have happily stayed here for our entire 3-day stay and never left.
However, we DID wander off several times to spend a morning or afternoon exploring all of the covered bridges and fabulous wineries located nearby and ventured up to enjoy the lake, which is only a 10 min drive, several times.
This is a great location to access anything in the region, yet is a hidden sanctuary away from the congestion and noise of the G-o-t-L Strip or other lakefront accommodations.
This home is perfect for a couple, a small family, a weekend away with your best friend or sister, or even just a night or two away by yourself to decompress. It’s just lovely.
