The cabin was great and had plenty of space for our family of 7. It was an easy drive to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Smokey Mountains. We enjoyed it so much, we looked to book over Christmas but it was already full 😢. If I had to identify one complaint, it was that there was not a treadmill (a few of the pictures showed one). While this wasn’t a huge issue as we were able to run around the resorts, my cross county running kids would have appreciated it.

we had a fantastic stay at the cabin! everything we needed to cook, relax and have fun! great location, very easy to get to the cabin without driving a super steep/curvy road. very convenient to downtown gatlinburg. also easy access to grocery/gas/restauraunts. very close to the arts and crafts village. highly recommend!

We took a chance renting a Gatlinburg property in February hoping the weather would cooperate. Luckily we had great weather and a great place to stay. Blackjack fit our needs completely. There was plenty of room and the house was well stocked for our stay. The location is close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The house was clean and in good condition. The internet was good enough to use streaming services which is a big plus. The only thing that could be better is that the bottom floor could have better climate control. The only time we used the lower level was when we went to the hot tub that was hot and clean. Overall Blackjack was a nice place to stay and I would definitely stay there again.

Great experience! The layout of the cabin is wonderful for a family! Beds and twin bunks were very comfy! So much room! If I had to do over I would have brought DVD’s (pay attention to the home theater email you receive). Hot tub was great! We weren’t able to get the hot tub temperature to where we wanted it, quick call and the customer service was able to walk me thru the different modes of the hot tub. We are planning on booking this cabin again next year!

Our GPS brought us in on a narrow windy road the back way from WV to our cabin. I would not recommend using that road as it is nearly impassable. Upon arriving, the cabin was easily accessible, had ample parking and smelled wonderfully clean. Everything was in working order. We had to do a slight adjustment to the float on the commode on the main level because it ran all night the first night. We did let staff know about this. Beds were comfy and kitchen well stocked with whatever we needed. Our group of 10 from age 7-72 had a wonderful family retreat here. Location is great as it is only 10 mins to Gatlinburg/20-25 from Pigeon Forge, and close to Food City. Our favorite place at the cabin was the huge wrap around porch. It felt like we were in a tree house. Would highly recommend! Only down side is there’s no pool at this resort or any cabin.

Great place and close to town. Terrible cookware (warped and wouldn’t set on stove) and only 5 forks in entire cabin. We had 8 people so we had to go buy forks and a pan.

Overall, rental cabin was a perfect fit for my family and I. Only complaint was we weee notified 2 hours after we checked in that the tub in master bathroom did not work and we should not use it. And the f your kids have allergies to pets bring medicine. Cabins are pet friendly and my son had a bad allergic reaction to the pet hair all over the couch on main floor.

Several years ago we stayed in Elk Springs. Once again our experience was perfect. We had a question about the home theater and within minutes maintenance was there to guide us. The cabin was super clean. We had lots of room and the location was very convenient to all of the activities we wanted to enjoy. Being pet friendly was a bonus. Our dogs loved being able to join us. We will definitely book with them again.

The cabin is located right in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg so it made travel easy. The property management company is excellent and extremely responsive to anything you need at any time. The inside of the cabin was clean and spacious. Only two things to report- lack of silverware, there was exactly seven forks. Last, I would have hoped for upgrades with the TVs and options to stream or have movie channels available. In fairness to the owners, the tv/cable/lack of streaming was disclosed prior to arrival. However, for the amount of money spent to stay in the cabin, those upgrades are somewhat expected. Overall we had an enjoyable, positive stay and we would return.

We didn't stay for very long, but this cabin was everything we could have wished for. Great location, is clean, and the beds are very comfortable. This is our second stay at elk spring resorts, and we will definitely be back anytime we stop in the Gatlinburg area.

Blackjack cabin is very cute. The kitchen is functional and sufficiently stocked. However, the water dispenser from the fridge stays frozen. The beds are VERY comfortable along with the rest of the furniture—we loved the couch on the main floor. Our biggest issue was noise. You can hear everything between the floor levels including the two king rooms which are above and below each other. D.J., the maintenance person was beyond helpful. He was courteous, punctual and friendly. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend this cabin is the noise. I DEFINITELY recommend Elk Springs Resort!

We had a very nice stay at Blackjack and Elk springs was pleasant to deal with. We have vacationed in the Smokies for 20 years and never stayed at the same cabin twice, mostly because we want to vary our experience but there have been a few Agencies/resorts we won’t return to. Elk Springs is not one of them, we are actually interested in seeing what resort amenities they have in the works. We saw construction during our stay but as of yet, no clubhouse/pool/gym/courts, etc;. Blackjack was spacious and clean, had a gorgeous wrap around deck with a quality grill and glass stone gas fire pit. The deck could use a power washing. We enjoyed the theatre size TV screen but I wouldn’t describe the set up as a theatre room and there was a glitch that reset the system when people were walking upstairs just above the unit. We loved the huge sectional sofa but not the master bed with scratchy sheets that required a step stool to get into it. The hot tub was the largest and nicest one we’ve seen, loved it! Just be advised it’s on the ground level and there is a black bear that frequents the resort at dusk walking up the hill checking the cages for trash cans to see if they’re locked. We love bears but I was a bit unsettled with no barrier on the ground level between him and I other than a picnic table. The pool table was nice but on a small loft with no room to take a shot without hitting a wall. There’s plenty to love about Blackjack(especially it’s location to Gatlinburg)and Elk springs was not notified of any of our concerns because they were mostly cabin owners issues and not simple fixes. I’m certain had we asked they would have done they’re best to accommodate us. We will look to Elk Springs again in the future when the resort is more established and as usual pick a new cabin with new experiences.

This cabin was perfect, peaceful and comfortable. Ideally located yet secluded. The sectional and beds very very comfortable. Kitchen fully stocked with plenty of cookware and dinnerware. Highly recommend Elk Springs. The only suggestion I have is to make sure you read about the theatre system and bring the required cord(s). We could not find them anywhere close to purchase.

The location and cabin were good, the maintenance staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The negatives were the furniture and the theater room equipment functionality. The living room was couch was very uncomfortable and only had room for 3 adults. There was no place for everyone to gather and relax. The theater room equipment was dated and unreliable. The equipment operates very intermittently, turning off often during shows. We would not stay at this cabin again because of the above. Only other note is the overall cleanliness. While the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean the cabin had large amounts of dirt and dust buildups in the higher locations such as walls and beams.

The hot tub was right outside of the bottom floor and we put it to good use since the weather was nice a cool outside. The third floor has a pool table and a third large room with a connected bathroom (no jacuzzi tub, just shower).
Great experience and easy access to strip for shopping, restaurants, games, skylift. Pigeon Forge is about a 30 minute drive.

Great stay in July '21!
The property was very clean and was spacious and cozy at the same time. We had two small issues (HDMI hookup on the theater tv on the lower level and not enough silverware) that were addressed immediately! Can not say enough good things about the property in general. While you are in a "resort" community, you are in the woods. All furniture and beds were very comfortable and the game room on the first level (along with a hot tub) was great for the kids AND adults. There were 10 of us staying at the house and it was plenty of room. Highly recommend!

Overall the cabin was good. It had a lot of space for 5 people ( our 3 grandsons and us). But the shower in the main level bathroom needs some attention and the cabin itself could have been a little cleaner. Also it was quite dark. The lighting could have been better.

We had a great time staying in the blackjack cabin. Excellent layout and big enough to give everyone the space they need. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to get away for a little R&R. We will certainly book again.
