Very clean with great communication. The location couldn't be better.

We were very happy with our choice to stay at The Point for our family vacation. We wanted a location that provided easy access to the ocean, snorkeling on-site (BYO gear), amazing sunset views, and enough space for 4 of us (2 adults/2 young teens) to hang out together or apart. This place provided it all!
We enjoyed daily walks on the property, exploring the many tide pools, swimming and watching hermit crabs at the beach, swimming in the pool, and snorkeling along the entire shore within the swim bobbers (a big space!). We had plenty to do/explore on the property, and were conveniently located for going out in our rental car for more exploring. Off the property, we enjoyed visiting Joseph's Cave, 7-mile beach, Bloody Bay and Half-Moon Beach. We prepared all of our breakfasts and coffee at the apartment, and enjoyed many lunches/dinners at nearby restaurants.
Our hosts were very responsive and polite, answering my many questions both before and during our stay. The place was clean, had a mid-week housekeeping visit (very good!) and the beds and linens were very comfortable. I initially had concerns about safety in Jamaica, but we felt very safe at this Negril property and on all of our nearby excursions. If we visit Negril again, I'd stay here again and will try to bring our tennis & pickleball gear and will make arrangements to rent kayaks to explore the nearby caves along the shore and visit the nearby Booby Cay. Great hosts & best unit/location at The Point!

Great location. Steps from beach in cove and the pool. Beach is area uncrowded, quiet. Condo has well equiped kitchen. All bedrooms and living areas have fans and AC. Porch off living area screened, nice for meals, view of beach.

Our unit was very well equipped and so close to the beach.

From booking to checkout—vacationing in this condo was as close to perfect as possible! We enjoy privacy and like to get away from the crowds so I don’t think there would have been a better place in Jamaica for our family. The private beach is 30 steps from the door so we had no need to go anywhere else. The water was calm enough that our 18 months old grandson played for hours everyday. We went to a few of the other beaches in Negril but kept returning “home”. We brought our own snorkel gear and snorkeled everyday—Just go 55 steps to the water and turn left, the rocks and sea walls have made some pretty good spots to see several species. The popular snorkel spot Booby Cay is a short kayak trip from the beach. Sunset and the following hour was incredible every night. The condo was very clean and very well stocked with soaps, bath towels, beach towels and beach toys. Our grandson loved the “coop” and bucket so he could scoop the sand. Mr. Robinson never failed to respond to any questions I had and even messaged me after we arrived to make sure all was as expected. It definitely was!! Security people were thorough and friendly. Complex grounds were clean and well maintained. I could go on and on and it would all be positive. Thank you Mr and Mrs R for sharing your home.

What a great place. Location was fabulous, communication was great. I will definitely rebook with the Robinsons, thank you.

Such a cute condo. Met all of our needs and right on the beach. First trip to Jamaica and had an excellent time. Would absolutely book here again.

This was our second stay at Point Village. If you're not looking for an all inclusive type luxury vacation, this is an amazing place! The access to a private beach, snorkeling, kayaking, walking on the Negril 7 mile beach can't be beat. This apartment is the absolute closest one to the main beach where we never saw more than 10 people. The apartment is super well supplied with beach towels, floats, cooking supplies, comfy seating, two outdoor patios, and more. The beds are comfortable (but small for larger folks)! The AC worked well plus there were fans in every room. It was very convenient to have use of the washer and dryer. The owner was fabulous at immediately addressing any problem. For example, the blender broke early in our stay and he replaced as it soon as possible (and offered to pay us back if we wanted to pick one up at the local store). The check in process wasn't perfect, hence the 4 stars. We did not get the code from VRBO for the lock box but the owners got back to us right away with the code for entry. There was also an issue with the driver from Montego Bay airport as he brought us through a construction site on the property rather than through a proper entrance. The owner and transportation company were notified and I doubt this would happen again. It was an honest mistake by the driver but resulted in a tenuous walking journey with luggage for us! We hope to return next year.

The property is wonderful and as described. A lot of space (we were 2 family) and all you can expect to cook. The place is very clean (with a mid week cleaning include) and very safe. The appartment is beachfront so you can see all the amazings sunsets! The owners were answering fast and well organised everything. We would stay there again for sure!

We loved our stay at The Point. Our hosts gave us plenty of useful information to prepare for our stay. Everything looked exactly like the pictures. We appreciated having immediate support when I needed assistance. We also met Marcia the housekeeper. She came by twice to clean as we were staying for 9 days. Everyone on the property was very kind and friendly.
We had no issues with any of the equipment nor the internet. My husband was able to check his emails and even receive wi-fi calls.
Some of the restaurants on the owners’ manual may need to be updated as several have closed down since the pandemic. We went to several of the suggested restaurants and really enjoyed the food. Bourbon beach house had the best jerk chicken and pork but you have to be patient as it takes some time to get the food cooked. We enjoyed Calico Jack’s so much that we went twice. My family did some cliff diving at Rick’s Cafe but we made reservations to dine at Ivan’s which was next to the property. The place was stunning and the food was divine.
I loved that this unit had a washer and dryer. We always do our laundry before going home and it was helpful to be able to dry the towels that were provided. They also provided a pump and several tubes which came in handy.
Overall, we just loved this stay. We rented a car to travel around the local area to find the best food. We saved money and supported local establishments. We will always find local spots vs staying in all-inclusive resorts.

All the positive comments you read on the other reviews are accurate and true, this place is amazing.
Anything negative, just some room for improvement to the wifi, that's it.

Overall very nice, but not a hotel. Nothings completely stress free but the Robinson's were very available and looking for solutions from afar.

If you are going to Negril and want to avoid the resorts, I would highly recommend this property at the Point Village. The condo was clean and had enough of what we needed for our stay. We did have significant issues with 2 of 3 upstairs bedroom AC units, but they were very responsive in getting them repaired. This condo is centrally located within the complex; you can walk out straight to the beach. The pool is also directly outside the condo but we did not use because the beach is RIGHT there and the pool was pretty rundown and water was a not subtle green tint. You can easily walk out of the community and south along Seven Mile Beach along all the resort beach fronts for as long as you desire. Things to note: it is not quick/convenient to walk out and get coffee, breakfast, dinner, etc. We walked down to Fisherman's for lobster but it's a long leisurely walk. One day we took a taxi down to Kuyaba for breakfast and then spent the entire rest of the day walking home, swimming, and drinking at the non-exclusive resort bars long the beach. To my knowledge, there isn't really any "shopping" like many Americans may look forward to as a part of their vacations. Unless you are college-age or enjoy the college drink/dance/party scene, I highly recommend not wasting your time or money at Ricks' Cafe. Restaurants are OK, we tried a variety through our stay and don't think anywhere was a 'must', even the nicer ones that provide one-way taxi service. We went to Benta River falls and walked up the river/falls and swam in the pools; it was a nice excursion. We did a catamaran snorkel/picnic which was fun but Booby Cay (the island you can see from Point Village that the boats all park at) is littered with trash and not cared for despite all the money paid and services that utilize the island daily. I was perturbed that every time we got a taxi the pricing was different. I.E. with the recommended red plate taxis sometimes a ride down to Negril town proper was $2 per person and others it was $7. The 'route taxis' that go up and down 7mi beach are supposedly cheaper. It is useful to connect with a driver and collect all of their phone #s to call them personally for rides. We utilized Rocky's both for roundtrip airport taxi as well as excursions; I do recommend them. In sum, if you have to go to Negril like we did for a wedding, The Point is a great alternative to resorts. If you are looking for a tropical vacation destination, I recommend Placencia, Belize.

Outstanding place with a great view and beach location. Snorkeling the reefs right outside the villa was wonderful! Lots of fish, starfish, and a couple of stingrays. Working with the owner was easy. Very attentive. Wanted our vacation to be the very best! Would stay here again !!!

The unit is a bit dated and needs some work, but the location is superb! Just out the door and you’re on the beach. Beautiful sunsets, close to good restaurants. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly.

This is a lovely, spacious, condo steps from a very tranquil beach. There is fantastic snorkeling from the beach, all the way around the sea wall, dozens of tropical fish varieties and lots of starfish. The neighborhood is quiet, as in bring your own entertainment quiet, not such a bad thing. You can easily walk down to 7 mile beach but it’s a long hike to anything beyond the Fireman’s Lobster Pit (a must visit). Unless you just want to sit on a quiet beach, a car is a necessity. Taxis to the West End and the cliffs would really add up, and you can’t visit Negril without jumping off a cliff! Also there really aren’t other walkable restaurants, again, unless you are ok with a 4km walk each way. We arrived to non-working internet and TV. The internet was up in a day, but the TV was out for our entire stay, which ideally shouldn’t be a problem in paradise. The owners were very kind and responsive, but it’s an infrastructure problem and not a quick fix. We saw the FLOW vans and workers actively putting in new fiber optic cables to the neighborhood, so hopefully this problem will be resolved soon. Also, there is no usable tennis court, it’s going back to the jungle, not even a net. Overall this is a fantastic place to stay. I love the water of Negril, the cliffs, the food, even the wild energy, but it was great to have such a lovely, quiet place to return to after our adventures.

Everything about this place was WONDERFUL!!!!! The accommodations, amenities, views everything was perfect. Couldn't have asked for more. Vincent is a wonderful host. He checked in on us when we got there and gave us a quick overview of the property, and continued to check in during out stay. We are regular visitors to Jamaica, and Vincent's place is definitely #1 on the list when looking at stays. Thank you Vincent and Anna-Maria!!!!

BEAUTIFUL and RELAXING
The location of the property was perfect-right behind the beach with water visibility from lots of places in the condo. We loved it all! A special thanks to all of the workers who clean up and provide us with a paradise vacation!! THANK YOU!

Our stay
The internet went down first day. That made some things difficult, but everything else was wonderful. The provided cell phone was a life saver. The unit was really nice, the property was beautiful. You need to find a good taxi mam to take you around. The location is very safe, but if you plan to explore negril it can get expensive going to and from. I may stay here again

I really am not one to gush...but this place is so fantastic. First off, it is located literally 25 steps from the beach. The place itself is spacious. The kitchen is fully stocked and it has tons of towels and anything else you might need. Yes, it's located next to Hedo...but the walk around it up the road is short. You don't see anyone from there so it's pretty irrelevant that it's next door. We had a car so zipping into town to get groceries was easy. But it's a nice walk into town along the beach (or the road). If you're looking for an alternative to a resort, but a place where you'll meet other people--both locals and foreigners--they all live there and are just lovely.

This is probably one of the best condos in Pointe Village.
The proximity to the beach is amazing and Pointe Village itself is just a great place to stay. This was our 6th stay and by far our best stay because of this condo.

We had a great stay at The Point Village this past December. Highlight is that the townhome is steps away from the beach - literally the closest unit to the beach. So awesome to be able to pop in and out of unit while relaxing on the beach all day. Good snorkeling right off the beach - highlight was 6+ foot stingray. Great view of small island (which we kayaked / swam to), very private beach - can't see all of the nearby resort beaches which is good. We walked down 7 mile beach a few times through adjacent resorts. They don't really care but don't seem to love people walking down beach through other properties. The property was very clean, well stocked with kitchenware (we cooked a decent amount). Beds comfortable. Internet was serviceable - one person successfully worked remotely but had to turn off camera a few times due to bandwidth issues. Wireless spotty upstairs - needed to be close to router for best internet. Grounds crew and security very friendly - talked with many of them. Good birdwatching on the grounds. Erica, the housekeeper, was very accommodating and friendly. We had her cook a couple dinners for us and they were delicious (jerk pork and escovitch). We rented a car which I would recommend. Only about 10-15 minutes to downtown Negril - went to farmers/fruit market number of times and grocery store - everything you need there. Overall, wonderful trip, relaxing, exactly what we were looking for. All the local folks we met were very friendly. I think we will be looking to book again next year.

I can only rave about this amazing space. It's literally 10 steps away from the beach when you walk out the door. The waves sang us lullabies every night, and the ocean breeze, seagulls and beautiful sunrise greeted us in the morning. The Hosts were awesome, accommodating and very helpful when needed. They provided a booklet which covers everything you need to know about the space, as well as transportation, activities and meal planning. The property liason Mrs. Erica is a godsend, great cook, and treats you like family. I fell in love with Negril because of our wonderful experience at this location. The Driver "Dain" we were blessed to encounter was just as hospitable and patient. He helped planned excursions and advised how to negotiate on purchasing items. Our Holiday Escape was beyond our expectations. I highly recommend to book the space. It's cozy, comfortable and well equipped. It's now my goto spot when I return. So Book here for a sublime experience.

Very nice 3 BR with many amenities. The floats were great, beach towels are nice, toiletries like bar soap and plenty of toilet paper a perk compared to other VRBOs. Housekeeper (Erica) and Owner (Vincent) were very responsive with questions and assistance. GREAT rental and would rent again if returned.
