Rustic 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom 1800 Square foot Villa near Starved Rock . The Villa Sleeps up to 8 guests and has two fireplaces and a private tub in the master bedroom.. Located within 1 1/2 hour drive of Chicago , this relaxing retreat is for you, your entire family and guests! Villa is very roomy and provides an ideal weekend get away for families and friends looking for a relaxing weekend escape. Spacious living room, features 2 plush sofas and a gas fireplace. The Kitchen is fully equipped with all of the necessary appliances and cooking utensils. The unit backs up to Starved Rock Nature Preserve
Some of the best hiking in Illinois is available at Nearby Matthieson and Starved Rock State Parks. Nearby Bicycle trails also provide beautiful natural scenery on the I & M Canal State Trails. Visit Nearby Country Edge Mall where you can sample, Fabulous Cupcakes, Homemade candy and Gourmet Popcorn.

We really enjoyed the trip! The host was a great communicator and quick to respond. Overall, I would recommend staying here and enjoying the area.

Well the TV in the second floor bedroom don’t work the Jacuzzi tub didn’t work lights on the back balcony didn’t work sofa bed in the living room in need of replacing I didn’t enjoy my stay there I went before two years ago and it was a lot better this villa was not that great

This was a beautiful 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo, all furnishings in great condition and everything was clean. We especially liked the comfy king bed in one of the bedrooms. I give it an A rating.

Great weekend getaway, with a place to stay right next to Starved Rock Park. Perfect place, comfortable beds, and clean. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

First time at Starved Rock
Stayed here to hike at Starved rock. Was surprised how close it was. Very nice little town. Was very welcoming. Look forward to returning. Jacuzzi was a must after hiking all day.

Being in nature
One of the things that I liked about this property was that not only was it accessible to Starved Rock park, but the property itself was quite relaxing. The directions we received to find it we're also appreciated. I'm not sure we would've found it so quickly had we not received those instructions. The only thing I would say is that The pull out couch was not at all comfortable to sleep on. Of course, you can't find too many pull out sofas that are comfortable to sleep on 😀

The gentleman was nice enough to bring us extra pots since he seen us cooking and barbecuing. The grill on the site was not good it was too small for the amount of food we had but we worked it out lol. My only thing I would want is a screen for the patio doors downstairs bcuz it was a beautiful day so we wanted the doors open but mosquitoes and ants kept coming in. Overall I highly recommend this villa

A Great property & host.
Our annual High School girl friend weekend was awesome! We loved hanging out together in the villa & visiting downtown Utica. This was our 7th annual trip together & this place was perfect! Our host was so attentive & accommodating. Highly recommend this place for families & friends to get together.

Perfect for our Girls' Getaway!
Denny's villa at Grand Bear Resort was exactly what we needed for our group of 7! Plenty of space in the kitchen, family room & bedrooms. All kitchen accessories, hand & dish soap, bed linens and towels were provided. Beds were super comfortable! We're already planning to return & would highly recommend!

Internet didn’t work the whole time, only could get 1 tv to work, rental manager stopped responding to our issues like he just didn’t give a shit. Dirty vents, basically lipstick on a pig, coffee pot didn’t work (took over an hour to brew 1/2 a pot). Not worth the money.
