This beautiful 'Old Tahoe Style' luxury cabin in coveted Tahoe Park on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe is special. The private cabin sleeps 1-3 and is located a short 5 minute stroll to the private 3-acre lake-front Tahoe Park. As our guest here you can enjoy the beach, deep water piers, beautiful lawns, childrens playground, volleyball, horse shoes, and picnic facilities. Also within easy walking distance of the cabin you can rent bikes or stand-up paddle boards. This beautiful West Shore property is near to the bike path and is located an easy 2 mile ride from Tahoe City. Additionally you may enjoy Sunnyside Restaurant, Firesign Café (arguably best breakfast on the Lake), West Shore Market & Deli, and new popular bar & restaurant Shadyside. In Winter, you're just three miles to Homewood ski resort and an easy drive to Squaw Valley, Alpine and the Nordic Center. Amenities include dishwasher, microwave, flat screen smart TV, high speed Internet and off street parking.

The cabin looked like the ad but with quite a bit of snow. Perfect location for skiing at Palisades and Alpine. Kitchen was not as well equipped with limited supplies. We asked about grill and were told it was not available but then were invited to use the neighbors. Bed was extremely comfortable.
We were very appreciative of the addition glasses left.

Loved our stay with Carolyn! Our little apartment above the garage was exactly the right fit for our family - our son loved the rollaway bed and it was so nice to be able to bring our pup along. When the stairs are icy, you have to watch your step going up to the entrance. Overall, a magical snowy getaway in the woods!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in this well-equipped, dog-friendly cabin. We had everything that we needed to cook in and work remotely. The location is a short walk to the lake and close to skiing. We'll be back.

Cozy and spacious space, great skylights! Very comfortable and close to the lake, nice neighborhood. I didn’t realize the bathroom walls didn’t go all the way to the ceiling. It was fine for me and my partner, but just something to note for other people considering. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay here and really loved walking to Sunnyside, Fireside Cafe and the private beach facility nearby. The cabin apartment is above the garage and the main house is also on the property but we really liked the owner and her tenant. The place was very well stocked in the kitchen and had a very comfy bed and nice sheets. She had the best stocked bathroom as well with extra items that some travelers may forget. She even provided a black makeup washcloth! Overall, it was a great getaway for us and it just went by too quickly!

Very cute knotty pine cabin made for a relaxing stay in Tahoe city. The place is cozy, clean and comfy. Our dog Toby was also right at home.

My husband and I stayed at Buckhorn this past week and LOVED our time in this adorable cabin. It had everything we needed to cook our dinners and was a very short walk to the Sunnyside restaurants. We will definitely be back!

Nice, clean, quiet cabin like retreat. We loved the location!! We enjoyed walking to the fireside cafe to eat.The cafe allowed our dog at outdoor patio table. Walked to private gated off beach that allowed dog till 10am. We had everything we needed for our stay. The hostess was very nice and accommodating.

We had a great time. The house is in nice area and we were just a short walk to store, cafes, sports equipment rental, and the lake! You also have access to private park with grills, picnic tables and beach area which is nice. Can launch SUP or kayaks right there. Comfortable place to stay. Really appreciate being able to bring our old, blind chihuahua since we can't board her. Thank you!!!

Perfect spot for 2-3 people. Nice, clean and the owner was very kind and helpful. Close to food , bike rentals, and the lake front park is a few blocks away.

This was our second time staying at this property and it was as nice as we remembered. It’s clean and cozy with all the necessities provided and dogs allowed, which is important to us. The owners are very friendly and easy to reach. All in all a great experience.

I spent Memorial Day weekend at the cabin with my dog. It was clean, well furnished, and the location is very convenient! It is a 5-10 minute walk to West Shore Market, Sunnyside Lodge, and Fire Sign Cafe! Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful cabin, high quality everything!
My husband and I enjoyed this place a lot. Very spacious cottage. Comes with a full kitchen although we did not end up cooking.
Bonus: This VRBO stay includes the Lake Tahoe Park Association private beach access!
Walking distance from the cabin, we enjoyed Lake Tahoe like never before. It's a dog friendly beach (upto 10 A.M.) and our dog swam in the crystal clear waters and enjoyed it a lot!
Carolyn was friendly, and went out of her way to send one of my items back to me through mail. Highly recommend this stay to everyone!

Spent a wonderful long weekend at Carolyn’s place. The cabin was amazing, very cozy with all the amenities of home. The kitchen was well-appointed, and the bathroom was stocked with all necessities. Check-in was simple and Carolyn was very responsive. The location was also amazing. Can’t wait to stay here again!

The property is exactly like the pictures posted. Perfect!! Great location in Tahoe City. Booking and check in was super easy. Carolyn was quick to respond to email and text. We met wonderful people both local and visitors. We loved the daily hikes and scenery, boat rental, and easy access to any location on the lake. I’m sure we will be back. When we entered the cabin is was like taking a step back in time! Bringing back memories of cozy comfy cabins nestled in the woods. It is decorated so cute with picture of wooden boats and “bear theme stuff”. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you may need to make a good meal. Cabin is very clean, bathroom very nice and the bed was comfortable. The location of the cabin is perfect,. You can walk to great restaurants like Fire Sign, ( Great breakfast) Spoons and the West Shore Market & Deli. A short drive to Tahoe City and Bridgeteners( Great burgers) or try River Ranch Lodge for dinner. Having access to a private park and beach is a plus. It is so quite and relaxing. We only had contact with Carolyn once during our stay and found her to be very personable with many tips for the area. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to staying there again on our next visit.

Carolyn was a very nice host and explained all the surroundings and neighborhood well. The cabin sits in a very quiet neighborhood walking distance from the lake, park, and several great offerings like FireSign and the West Side Market. Check out both. A good location and quiet escape. Tahoe City is very chill.

The location was great. Walking distance to the HOA Beach/Pier, Firesign (best breakfast in Lake Tahoe), and Sunnyside. The cabin is decorated well and the perfect environment for a Tahoe getaway. Clean and just as advertised!

This little studio cabin is a short little stroll to Sunnyside and so convenient for activities. One of the best things was the access to the HOA beach which i wasn't expecting. The cabin is great and so adorable and charming, really is a great value.

I was looking for a place to stay to celebrate my wife's birthday and our anniversary. I found this beautiful retreat in the hills close to the lake sponsored by Carolyn Blakeman. We loved it.
Lake Tahoe is a very spiritual place. It's quiet and it's the perfect place to get close to nature and those who are close to you.
This was the perfect cabin for us to stay in. It's very comfortable and has beautiful windows and skylights that let the light in and make you feel like you are in the trees. We loved our stay here and would like to return. A really great thing was being able to bring our dog with us.

We enjoyed staying at Buckhorn. The apartment is above a garage, but very quiet and private. You can walk to restaurants, markets, coffee spots. You have access to a private beach that is beautiful and clean. The owner is friendly and helpful.
