About this apartment rental

The Garden View Suite offers 2000 square feet; an open floor plan for kitchen, living and dining; 3 very comfortable bedrooms; a tiled bathroom split into two rooms with the toilet and sink in one room and a deep soaking tub and sink in the other; free Wi-Fi and Satellite TV; a large patio with gas and charcoal barbeque grills and patio furniture overlooking the herb gardens. You will enjoy lots of natural light during the day and peaceful nights to for rest and renewal. This is an upstairs/downstairs duplex. We the owners live in the upstairs part of the duplex and are available if needed but give you total privacy otherwise.

We are located in a lovely rural setting while still being only 2-5 minutes from downtown Luther College and downtown Decorah. The accommodations are private, spacious, and very convenient to restaurants, activities, and sites. Ample parking is available. There are walking trails on the property and space for campfires.

Decorah is a thriving community with a wonderful mix of cultural opportunities including theatre, art galleries, biking / walking trails, parks, restaurants, organic foods, seasonal farmers market, education, and outdoor recreation including trout streams, canoeing, tubing, kayaking and fishing the Upper Iowa River.

This couldn’t been a more perfect place for my visit to see my son his wife and my new grandchild! Property was spectacular, and I enjoyed getting away from the hustle and bustle of Washington DC! I hope to be back for future visits. The property was stunning, quiet, and the view on the Bluff.was peaceful! Barbara and David were responsive, gracious, and wonderful hosts!

Beautiful property and home. Less than 10 minutes to anywhere I wanted to go, but off the highway making it very peaceful. The views are spectacular. Raise the living room blinds and watch the deer, birds and other wildlife from the windows. Open floor plan with large bedrooms. Plenty of everything you could need. Barbara and David are lovely people and their dog Sammy is so sweet.

The property was excellent! I enjoyed watching the birds in the evening as the came and went to the feeders. It was so relaxing. I took evening walks and got to see more stars in the night skies than I see living in the city. I highly recommend this rental!

This charming three bedroom apartment is in a lovely setting with beautiful view. I have stayed here once before and I love being close to downtown while enjoying the beautiful grassy surroundings where I can walk my dog.

Beautiful site with a well-appointed apartment. It was very easy to communicate with the host, and though someone was on site, we never saw them after the quick friendly “hello” when we checked in. It was very quiet, you can see the stars at night, and there was a variety of wildlife. A fully appointed kitchen rounded out the stay. I’ve already booked another stay.

The home is just outside of town but extremely easy to get to all of things Decorah has to offer while still being private and secluded with beautiful views of the sunrise every morning. We had everything we could need with ease to come and go as we needed and they were very generous to let us bring our dog with as well. Worth the stay!

Barbara's property was clean, spacious, and fully equipped with all the necessities. We were also blown away by the gorgeous setting. The pictures don't do it justice! The bird watching was amazing. Barbara was very kind and responsive to all our questions and very accommodating to our dog. This property is an excellent location to hiking, downtown, and craft breweries. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend!

The rental was in a lovely location not far from campus. The views from the home are really beautiful and there's a great garden in the back of the home. Very peaceful stay. We were charged extra because our daughter stayed with us one night. Wasn't aware of that policy when we booked.

Our stay was great! Check-in was super easy and the views from the house are spectacular. The house gives you a great country feeling but is close enough to town that it’s only a few minutes drive. Our stay was excellent. Couldn’t ask for more accommodating hosts and the space was clean and comfortable. All that we needed was there including abundant birds and wildlife! Our dog lived the place and was as sad to leave as we were. Would definitely rent again!

Sammy greeted us first. Sammy is the owners dog, what a nice and friendly dog. We did not bring our dog but wished that we had. It was quite, peaceful, with lots of birds to watch. We enjoyed the hummingbirds which put on quite an acrobatic show as only they can do. Would love to come again.

Overall we were very pleased with our stay. The place was spacious and comfortable inside, with lots of room for the dogs to play outside. The property managers were welcoming and laid back. The only issue was that we pick up our dogs’ poo immediately, and the property managers do not pick up _their_ dog’s immediately, so we had to clean up after their dog several times.

The suite is super spacious and has everything you could need! There were games and puzzles and a nice patio area with plenty of seating. The bedrooms were spacious and it is decorated beautifully! We had a quick 2-night getaway. It was spacious, clean, and relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pans, appliances for cooking needs. Plenty of towels and nice bedding. It's the perfect distance from downtown Decorah, an easy 5-min drive.
