we had coffee at the balcony table before it go too hot and happy hour on the lounge chairs after days at the beach. The unit is very clean and just perfect for the two of us. BVG Marina is a luxury condo with plenty of space to enjoy yourselves. We will be back!

We returned recently from our 4 week stay in this lovely condo. This was our first trip to Ixtapa and we can’t wait to go back. BVG Marina is a beautiful, well-maintained property, with the best pool in Ixtapa. The location at the quiet end of the beach is a plus. The condo was exactly as described, and we loved spending time on the large deck. The unit gets sun until about noon, and is in the shade the rest of the day. Checkin was seamless, Juan was responsive and helpful, and the unit is well stocked and well equipped. We enjoyed golfing at the Ixtapa Marina Course (5 minute walk from the unit), riding bikes out to Playa Linda on the paved bike trail, walking on the beach and hanging by the pool. Lots of great restaurants in Ixtapa. And also in Zihuatanejo, which is a 130 peso taxi ride one way. Weather was 31 and sunny every day. We were there during the busy season, so the premium spots by the pool were taken very early, but we always managed to find a lounger. Lastly, the restaurant at the BVG is a little gem. Food there is great, price is very reasonable and the staff are so friendly.

Pros: - Pool and beach are top notch. - Great location. Walking distance to many bars/restaurants in Ixtapa. Cons: - Was not notified ahead of time regarding what the check-in process entails. We were stopped at the gate for around 25 min because our information was not on file with the resort (even though I had supplied our driver’s licenses ahead of time). We were also not notified that there would be a 1000 pesos deposit, fees for wristbands, and a process to load money onto a card that would then be used to buy food/drinks from the on-site restaurant (you cannot simply use your own credit cards or cash to pay). In addition, you must return your plastic wristbands in order to receive your deposit back (even though they also supply you with a receipt that states you gave them a deposit) If we had been notified of these requirements ahead of time, it would have made the experience a lot smoother. - The Wi-Fi in the unit was very spotty and unreliable. Based on our experience, I would not except to be able to stream or work remotely reliably. - The condo was fairly clean but we noticed the bedsheets were stained and the kitchen floors were a bit dirty. In summary, we enjoyed our stay mostly due to the great location and amazing pool/beach. If the check-in process were smoother, the Wi-Fi better, and the condo a bit cleaner, I would be able to whole heartedly recommend this unit. However, that was not the case so we will probably look to book a different unit at the same property in the future.

Excellent ocean view condo and complex on the beach in Ixtapa. The owner responded to all communications quickly. Condo is exactly as described, the complex has all the amenities and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

This condo is accurately described. The condo was clean, very well equipped, and more freshly updated than the photos show. The condo and the appliances were in excellent condition, and the view from the balcony truly amazing. The resort is ideally located in a very quiet area of Ixtapa although within 15 minutes walking distance to stores and restaurants. Public transportation stops right outside the resort, and taxi service is easily available. The resort has two pools and two hot tubs, with one pool and one hot tub for adults only. The beach is clean and quiet with beautiful sand. There are ample palapas on the beach. All the staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. There’s a restaurant on site which provides breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner up to 7 pm. My husband and I spent 6 weeks in the condo from 10/1 to 11/12 which was evidently between the summer and winter high seasons. Because the resort was not full, we felt like we had the resort nearly to ourselves. Communications with Mr. Collado were immediate and responsive. There are several restaurants available but we highly recommend two which were both outstanding and both require reservations: (1) El Faro (located in the Pacifica Ixtapa Resort) in Ixtapa located on a hill on the east side of the beach which had great food and an overview of the entire Ixtapa beach - great place to view the sunset, and (2) Tentaciones (located at Tentaciones Hotel and Restaurant in Zihuatanejo) also located at the crest of a high hill overlooking La Ropa Beach and Zihuatanjo, with a choice of two 5-course dinner offerings. The restaurant was beautiful, and the food, service and view were exquisite - also a great place to view the sunset. Thank you Juan Francisco for making your lovely condo available to us. We had a wonderful and memorable stay …… and will definitely return!

Very clean and well decorated. Close to restaurants and shopping. A beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean. I recommend this condo/resort.

A stunning and clean condo with amazing hosts! We felt safe and had the most amazing stay. Amazing amenities, privacy but still close enough to everything. Could not recommend more! Hoping to return next spring.

Lovely condo, very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Great deck…..where we spent most our time enjoying the stunning view. Very nice infinity swimming pool and really nice tennis court. Good wifi……. and even Netflix. We will be back.

The Marina is quiet and just a fifteen minute walk into Ixtapa. There are also small buses to take you to Ixtapa and onwards to Zihuatanejo which are very inexpensive. The whole area is very clean and beautiful. Our condo was very comfortable for two adults. The kitchen is small but workable and who wants to spend their vacation in the kitchen???? We spent all of our time, when we are not at the beach, on the terrace. You can sit out there the whole evening. There is a TV but we did not turn it on for the two months we were there. The owner is very accommodating. Thank you Juan....

This was our first time renting a condo for a holiday ...we have always stayed at an all inclusive.. Juan’s property was absolutely beautiful ...very comfortable ...and amazing furniture and veranda and deck!! Juan made it so easy for me to try this way of staying with VRBO ... he was so great on connecting and communing with us!! This was our 2nd time to ixtapa.... and definitely will Return!!! All the conveniences you need on a beautiful property. Our second trip to Ixtapa and we will be back. I have one minor recommendation and that is to put a keyless entry lock on the door to the condo as using one key is challenging. Thanks for a great place to stay!!

The site of our stay is well organized. Everything is maintained and kept spotless. Our condo has everything needed for our pleasant stay. Kitchen has pots pans mixing bowls toenails glassware. Staff are wonderful good people. Sincerely Jesus J Orozco

Everything was perfect, nice condo, clean and well decorated. As for the BVG Marina it was our 6th time and we like it as much as the first. Very polite staff, restaurant is one of the best in Ixtapa, very well kept ground and pool. We come back for a month in March 2020!

We had a wonderful time at the BVGM. We would not hesitate to recommend this condo to others. Everything at the condo was exactly as it was advertised. Due to the busy time of year it was sometimes difficult to find a beach chair. But other than that everything was just perfect. We hope to return again sometime❤️

Enjoyed our 2 weeks in this condo. Everything was exactly as it should be. Very clean, functional and well maintained. Unfortunately the people before us drank all the tequila so we didn’t get to sample any made by the family!

Loved this condo! Perfect size for 2. Clean and well equipped . The staff throughout the place was wonderful and very attentive at all times. The pool was fantastic. The condo is located at the quieter side of Ixtapa which we really appreciated. The owner Juan was always very prompt in his reply’s to our many questions. A pleasure to deal with. Would not hesitate to return again!

The cooking facilities in the condo were more than adequate with a very nice six burner gas stove, full size refrigerator, dishwasher and washer and dryer. We never sat on the chairs or couch inside as we spent all of our evenings on the terrace. There are oodles of towels and large dedicated pool towels each with the condo number embroidered on them. The beach is awesome and we got to release some baby turtles into the sea. The restaurant downstairs has very good food and not expensive. Cocktails are two for one between 5 and 6 pm. The only downside of the restaurant is that it closes at 7pm sharp. It would be nice if they would extend it for one more hour. The sun beds around the pool were in short supply and many in poor condition but we understood that new ones were on order with delivery due in March 2019. There are tons of restaurants in Ixtapa which is about a fifteen minute walk and many nice shops. You can also take the bus which stops right outside BVGM. The large supermarkets are in Zihuatanejo which is about fifteen to twenty minutes from BVGM by bus and 12 pesos per person. We took the bus in and taxi back which cost 90 pesos. There is also a very good market with fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. It is called Mercado Municipal. You can have a great lunch or breakfast there too. Zihuatanejo has many nice restaurants also, some with live music. There are some with lovely views over the bay too. We will be back next year...............

Very nice apartment. Everything in good working order, and well outfitted. It was very quiet during our stay until the last weekend when the Revolucion long weekend brought many families to the property. Still very pleasant, with no loud behaviour. BVG is an exceptionally well-maintained property. A bit more information about what’s available close by would be helpful to guests, - like the great wine, liquor, and deli store at the Marina, the little convenience store in the base of the otherwise-empty Marina navigation tower, some info about the buses into Ixtapa Centro and Zihuatanejo. We’d definitely recommend this apartment. (Maybe add two more coffee mugs, Juan!)
