About this house rental
The Island Bluff House is the perfect place for your family reunion, business retreat or group getaway. This beautiful home sits high on the bluff above Saratoga Passage and is just 3 miles from the quaint seaside town of Langley.
On the main floor you will find 2 bedrooms, one with a king and one with a queen. The King bedroom opens up to a spacious view balcony that also joins the main living area. This bedroom also has its own entrance to the main floor bathroom. You will also enjoy a flat screen TV & comfortable reading chair in this bedroom.
The spacious, yet cozy main living area has a large sectional and a wood fireplace. Sit here for conversation and to take in the beautiful view of Saratoga Passage. You can also entertain your guests with some music on the baby grand player piano!
On the main floor there is also a separate library with a flat screen TV, built in stereo system, propane stove and a writing desk. Sleeper sofa here with queen size mattress if you need it.
With lots of extra amenities and a fantastic view - this spacious, gourmet kitchen offers a delightful setting to create your meals. Some of its features include a Decor double oven with commercial stove, double door Sub Zero refrigerator, wine cooler, double drawer dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker, double toaster, and grill just outside on the deck.
The dining area just off of and open to the kitchen is surrounded by large windows so you can take in the wonderful views while you dine.
On the top floor you will find a private master suite with its own sitting area, walk in closet, coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave, balcony and spacious master bathroom. This master has a King size bed and a large flat screen TV.
On the lower level you will find a 4th bedroom, a large living area with a propane stove & a large flat screen TV. There is also a second kitchen downstairs and a recreation room with a full size pool table. Sliding doors to the outside parklike grounds.
One of the many highlights of this home is the incredible spa on the lower level. Enjoy a steam bath or the Jacuzzi with room enough for 8 adults. There is a propane stove in the spa as well as a CD player for your enjoyment. We have also provided a massage table so you can enjoy a professional massage without leaving the house. Just ask and we would be happy to provide suggestions of local massage therapists.
This home sits on over a half acre of beautifully landscaped grounds. It is a perfect place for an outdoor gathering where you can enjoy the gardens & spectacular view of Saratoga Passage.
Shopping, eating, wine tasting, hiking, biking, parks, water fun etc. is all close by! Shopping and dining opportunities can be found in nearby Langley and Freeland. At the center of the island, and the oldest town in Washington State, Coupeville, is another local treasure to enjoy. A great home base for fun locally, Whidbey Island is also in close proximity to Seattle, Port Townsend, Anacortes, and the San Juan Islands for an enjoyable day trip. For evening entertainment, we have a small town theater that runs current movies right in Langley, as well as various live theater options. From arts, farmers markets, music, and seasonal events such as winery, farm and art tours, to apple pressing, parades, welcoming the whales, etc. there is often many more activities happening around here than one can possibly partake in!

This is a spacious, lovely home. With the bedrooms set across all three floors, a larger group can have both privacy and lots of community. Kitchen is great for meal prep. The view, the two main decks and the backyard provide places to relax. Our family of six and a baby spent a wonderful week here. Also, the property manager is super responsive.

The home was very comfortable with lots of private spaces to retreat to if needed. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. The player piano was an added attraction. There were a few issues that came up, but Patti responded immediately and dealt with them. We were lucky to have such nice weather which enhanced the already lovely view from the variety of outdoor spaces. The island is flush with delightful hiking trails, many of which are within just a few miles of the house. The only challenged was the signage from the road, with was obscured, to the lane the property is located on.

From Patti's willingness to assist with our planning to check in she was terrific! The house speaks for its self, stunning, beautiful, lovely, home, the list could go on and on. I highly recommend booking this proprety if your looking to relax in comfort, with plenty to do on the property its self. We will be booking again next year for sure!!

This home was perfect for our family gathering on Whidbey Island. We were a party of 9 - my husband and I, our children and their families. The house had plenty of room for us and lots of comfortable seating areas. The grounds were beautiful, and the kitchen was extremely well equipped.

We had a great stay here and would recommend to groups that enjoy spacious living, beautiful views, and cooking in a large, well appointed kitchen. The piano and spa were also lovely luxuries. Our only (truly) concern was that we all shared the downstairs shower (that does have a leak onto the floor at the entrance to the room) as the other two need upgrading, especially the master shower that has poor pressure. That is why I give this property 5 stars for the categories offered and 4 stars overall. I would book this property again!

The place is amazing! There were three couples and we each had our own room and own bathroom on the three different floors. The house is spectacular. We enjoyed quiet time with the player piano playing beautiful music for us. We enjoyed watching the deer and the rabbits in the yard. The little family room was perfect for watching basketball playoffs. We had a fun pool tournament downstairs. We enjoyed every minute. I will say they need to update the book on suggestions for eating out. Several places are closed. Tobys, which was highly recommended, and I would say by locals too, was just horrible. Afterward, we were sorry we didn’t check the reviews on the line and heard from some people that it had changed hands and was not the same. With a party of six everywhere we went we had a little bit of trouble getting seated as all the restaurants we went to were very small. The pizza restaurant in Langley was fantastic. We cooked a wonderful steak dinner one night at the house and on our last night, we made chicken fajitas. We all agreed that since the restaurants were limited and we had such bad luck that we should’ve opted to eat at home as the house is just so beautiful. So I would suggest to anyone who comes plan to make some fabulous dinners. Go into town for lunch wander around, but have a wonderful dinner in this beautiful home.

Spent the weekend with friends in a gourmet dinner club. It was a fabulous place to cook and dine as if in a 5 star restaurant. Beautiful home with all the amenities. Kitchen was well equipped with everything imaginable to make a memorable experience. Everyone was very impressed with this home.

Very nice property. Well appointed with a roomy, inviting kitchen and great views. The interior was clean and comfortable, and the beds were really nice! We also liked the pool table and other amenities that made staying indoors the day it rained just as entertaining. A few suggestions to make the property top notch would be to provide a bit of TLC to the exterior and address the mildewy smell in the basement. The pictures conceal the much-needed paint and stain work, not to mention the landscaping that looked to be somewhat neglected. For its part, the smell deterred us from spending much time enjoying the spa and other lower-level attractions. Overall, the proximity to Langley, the views, and the cleanliness and comfort of this property makes it a very nice choice for a vacation getaway!

This place is much bigger than the pictures show! It has 3 levels and each one is huge in itself! The top floor master bedroom has a huge living room in it and walk in closet and vanity and it’s own patio. The place was very clean and it had every little thing there I worried about bringing, so if you forget something, don’t worry, it’s probably there! I really loved the huge kitchen! It has everything! And the patio was so nice to sit out at night and in mornings. Very quiet and peaceful and a huge yard with ocean views. Right near the road so easy across to go places. The bottom floor is a whole house in itself with its own kitchen, bathroom, and living room and tv. I am a piano player and loved having the beautiful piano there to play! Our family enjoyed our time here and highly recommend. Also, I had a mix up at check out and they were very understanding with me which was really nice of them.

We enjoyed the added touches of holiday/Christmas decorations during a late December stay! For our stay with adult children we fully enjoyed the inside hot tub and pool table and grand piano.. The relaxing spaces, amazing kitchen and expansive views were awesome treats after our half day excursions on Whidbey Island. This location really felt like a holiday gift !

This is a great house for a big group (7 of us) The kitchen is huge and nicely stocked. the gas cook top and ovens were great for cooking a large Thanksgiving meal. Beds were comfortable, bedrooms were spaced out, providing plenty of privacy. The spa was nice, even though the jets in the hot tub never worked correctly, but the steam room was great and the hot tub was nice for soaking.

We have stayed at many lovely VRBOs over the years and this topped them all. We planned it as a small family reunion after no travel during COVID so we decided to go a little more extravagant this time and it was all worth it. We love to cook together and the kitchen was huge and amazing. The kitchen, dining room and living room all look out over a lovely yard, water and Mount Baker in the distance. It is so spacious inside and two very big outside decks where we ate every meal. And the property manager was exceptionally kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this for a small family reunion and definitely worth the extra extravagance.

good spot for a family gathering
We had a family gathering, with folks from 18 months to 92 years old. There was lots of room and a very big and well-equipped kitchen. The living/dining areas had great views of Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains. It was close to town (Langley), so easy to get to restaurants and the store, but far enough out to provide solitude. The house is up on a bluff, so you won't have beach access, but you can drive a few mintues to get down to the water. There are some nice hiking trails across the road. The owner was very easy to work with and communicated well.

Spring break getaway
We chose this property due to the location and amenities. But when we arrived we were all blown away by just how spacious the house is and the offerings. The kitchen is a chef’s dream come true. By no means am I a chef, but it was so easy to get meals created and once we stocked the huge refrigerator, we were all set for our week. The hot tub and steam room were perfect to ease tied muscles and they were used daily. Close enough but far enough away is a perfect description. Many towns were explored as well as hiking and just hanging out in the back yard. Whidbey island is a treasure and this house is a perfect base to explore it all.

Perfect house for a large family
The house is lovely and well supplied. There was a generous amount of everything. It may sound silly but I appreciated the many towels, garbage bags, extra sheets, glassware, coffee filters, cookware, mixing bowls and utensils. It just made everything so easy and comfortable. The only small negative thing was that the "hot" tub was lukewarm but that could have been 'user error'. The property manager was awesome and provided a quick response to our inquires. I highly recommend this lovely house.

Li’l Piece of Heaven
This property had everything. I wanted a place that would provide indoor fun in case there was a storm. There wasn’t a storm but we still enjoyed the amenities. My son plays the piano so we enjoyed listening to him in addition to the player piano discs. We got plenty of use of the pool table. Everything was perfect. I personally enjoyed the view every day. Especially from the dining room table and kitchen. It never got old. The location is perfect because you’re close to a quaint little town while still feeling like your away from everything. There’s a beautiful hiking trail less than 2 minutes from the home. I highly recommend this place. Lastly, any questions I had while there we’re answered immediately by text.

Beautiful home with expansive furnishings and bedrooms/bathrooms on three levels. Large and exceptionally well supplied kitchen with all manner of cookware, knives, spices. Great house to get to know Whidbey Island
Our group had never been to Whidbey Island and this house was a PERFECT base from which to explore, and also just to hang out in. It is HUGE, with lots of room for activities, some that we didn't even get a chance to enjoy! Langley is very close by and fun for shopping and dining, and going up island to Deception Pass and Greenbank Farms are great day outings.
The beds and linens were great, and the kitchen very well equipped. The outdoor space is lovely with decks and a big lawn, all overlooking the water (it is on a bluff, so no beach access), and it is 3 stories, so not sure I would bring little ones here, but for adults - wow. Very beautiful and private as well. There was a last minute issue with the dishwasher, but the property manager was on it and communicated very well about it's repair.
This would be a great house for a group of friends or family members to connect, cook together and explore (and that's just what we did!).

Great Stay!
We had a wonderful visit at this property, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking in the area. There were a few minor suggestions we had to improve future visits that were directly communicated to the property manager. The kitchen is STOCKED with great cooking tools and plenty of dishes. Rude management company
Place is fine. Nothing amazing and not as nice as the pictures, but fine. Management company is a mess. Called us the day we were scheduled to check in, after we were already on the island, and said we couldn’t check in until two days later. Was then rude, wouldn’t offer any help, and told us if we didn’t like it she’d cancel the whole trip, leaving us stuck having already traveled there. We ended up losing hundreds of dollars having to rent another place while we waited for them to make the house available.

A perfect weekend getaway with our kids!
This house had everything we needed for two families with toddlers to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The backyard was fun for the little ones to run around and the TV room was great for movies and toys. We ended up cooking in the well-appointed kitchen all three nights and enjoying our dinner with a beautiful view and the player piano in the background. Can't wait to return!

We love to cook rather than eat out, especially now w the pandemic. The kitchen was perfect. I found the beds comfy. I'd love to see the backyard groomed to take advantage of the potential view. It's grown up quite a bit since the posted pics.

Exceoptional experience!!
We wanted a place large enough that our 2 nieces (who live with us) could invite a couple of friends for the weekend. This place was beyond perfect!! The girls enjoyed the hot tub and playing pool, and we had a fabulous time all cooking together in the kitchen. There were lots of lovely art pieces all over the house, which added to the ambiance, but also gave all the girls the opportunity to be mindful of other people's things. We all had an enjoyable weekend, and I personally really appreciated the managers working with our schedule, since I was sick the entire weekend!!! They were fabulous to work with!!

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful house. There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room for all. We saw eagles, played games and shopped in the quaint little town of Langley, which was a short drive from the house.
