On the entry level, hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings and large windows adorn the great room, and the stone fireplace and stylish furnishings accent the warmth of these rooms. An open layout makes it easy to enjoy the company of family and friends when you are making a home cooked meal in the well-equipped kitchen. The island seats three adding to the seating for twelve in the dining area. The long wooden table is sure to be the site of lots of good conversations by the fire. ODE TO CLARALEA 1. In a glorious setting, among cedars and oaks The wooded paradise, ClaraLea, welcomes all folks. To this wood-paneled palace, built with perfection and care, Came ten happy travelers to spend a week there. 2. The house was set by a cove on a lake. Cedars and oaks shaded pathways did make. Mountain laurel and rhododendron sipped at the shore. Eastern yellow swallowtails and dragonflies flew outside the door. 3. Chipmunks and squirrels sought their daily bread. Robins and cardinals sang below. Geese honked overhead, Mr. and Mrs. Mallard Green-Head swam by for a crust. And our little grand daughter knew that feed them she must. 4. The water was bracing, and a buoy did call for swimmers to round it, one and all. One swam 4 laps and 3 swam just two. Followed by a guard in a kayak who knew what to do. 5. And the deck served for reading and grilling and such. And eating by sunset of food there was much. Pancakes were cooked on a griddle so fine, and many toasts were made with raised glasses of wine. 6. The dock was a place for getting some sun. And spreading much sunscreen on every one. As the the sun set in the west, all happily agreed That no other vacation ever did this one exceed.

I've stayed at many different large home rentals, both beach houses and mountain cabins. This house is absolutely pristine, inside and out! The attention to detail and design of the house is not of the caliber I've found in rental homes- regardless of price point. Everyone in our group had a great time, and loved the house and the well designed outside features. I would very highly recommend this cabin.

I've stayed at many different large home rentals, both beach houses and mountain cabins. This house is absolutely pristine, inside and out! The attention to detail and design of the house is not of the caliber I've found in rental homes- regardless of price point. Everyone in our group had a great time, and loved the house and the well designed outside features. I would very highly recommend this cabin.

The outside picture of Claralea Lodge doesn't do it justice. The picture looks barren with gravel and just a few chairs. It was just the opposite. The stepping stones are part of a welcoming path surrounded by trees and a soothing creek nearby. On the upper deck and in the back of the lounge chairs are plenty of comfortable seating areas for a crowd. Then there's the picnic table with a fire pit a short distance between the home and the lake. Some maintenance issues were addressed quickly. Careful of the gas grill. It hadn't been cleaned of grease and caught fire. Maneuvering a larger boat in the cove was tricky. It is shallow with a narrow channel between the rocks. However, the house and cove are surrounded by beautiful wooded scenery everywhere you look. Kitchen was well stocked. All was basically clean. There was no king bed anywhere, but having three queen suites was appealing to all. The lower level with it's activity area, washer/dryer, TV, bath, and two bedrooms was perfect for a daughter's family of five including three small children. We enjoyed our annual activities– hiking at Muddy Creek and Swallow Falls, visiting Lakeside Creamery and Discovery Center by boat, pizza at Uno's and playing on the boat, elephant and giant chairs, lounging on the water in our inflatables, and catching up with family. Highly recommend if you don't mind the shallow water front.

House was nice and very clean and beutiful setting. However, it was not exactly waterfront during the time we stayed. The water was low I gues and so the waterfront had turned into mud and there was no dock as the majority of home had pulled their docks in. I wish I had known we would not have useable lakefront in order to fish and to enjoy the view during the time we stayed

The property was absolutely beautiful - both inside and out! The location was great and you get a wonderful water view. I think the water may have been a little low though which made one view from the pier not so appealing. Other than that, it was gorgeous. The campfire pit was really nice - there's a picnic table near it, but it would have been nice to have some chairs to sit around it. Hot Tub was great. Bedrooms/Bathrooms were really nice. The beds were extremely comfortable. Originally, 8 ppl were supposed to stay in the house, but only 6 ppl did, so there was plenty of room (almost too much) for everyone. I contacted Taylor-Made to see if I needed to bring toiletries, soap, etc. for kitchen and baths, and I was told that I had to. However, all of this was well stocked -even laundry detergent. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

This is a fantastic home- incredibly well stocked kitchen, awesome deck, hot tub and patio area. We had a great time. The house was very clean and organized. My only suggestion would be consider replacing the sofa, it was a bit worn out. Otherwise, everything was perfect!

We enjoyed our stay. We had called the rental company about the lack of an air hockey puck. They said they would bring it over and never did. Also, this was our first time in Deep Creek. We asked Taylor Made if this house was a good location, and they
said yes. We had many kids with us, and were looking for a house where the kids could swim off the dock. This house did not allow that because of how shallow the water was. I think this should be made clear on your description. Great for kayaking and boating,
but swimming is not available. False advertising if you don't mention this. Several people on mentioned this as well. I wish I had seen it previously. A beautiful home and the owners did a great job building it. I would suggest more places to hang towels.
We had them draped over every chair available. Also towel rack behind every door would be helpful for bath towels. Overall a nice vacation, but unfortunately, we wouldn't stay in this house again in the summer.
