About this lodge
Nestled in Kentucky, this attractive lodge for $467 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Come to the Bourbon Trail in the Heart of Kentucky! Stay at our beautiful lodge with large common areas perfect for hanging out! Our space is great for family trips, work retreats, or a couples get away! The lodge is located just 3 miles from from restaurants, groceries, pharmacies and shops. But at the Lodge you will enjoy the peace of the country. We are central to all the bourbon distilleries: 15mi to Maker's mark, 35mi to Jim Beam, 50mi to Woodford Reserve, Lexington and Louisville. The lodge is the top floor of a converted old tobacco barn. Much of the year it serves as a hunting lodge hosting deer and turkey hunters. We use it as a rental during hunting off season. Every bathroom and bedroom is private. You must climb stairs to access the majority of the place. There is a DVD player and DirecTV with a complete package. There is free Wi-Fi as well. We do use the barn to store farm equipment, so we may be in and out of the barn if we are working but will not be in the living quarters. We will try our very best not to bother you! We do also have a passenger bus that will accommodate those staying with us. We can get you set up to take on your bourbon trail adventure. We live just down the hill at the house. So if you need us we can help you out, but promise not to bother you otherwise.

My wife surprised me with this trip to Kentucky and bourbon trail, me and 11 of my friends! Had a great time and can say a big part of it was this place! We had everything we needed and owners were awesome! We will definitely have to come back and would definitely want to stay here again!

First, the pictures do not do this place justice. The main floor, which is technically on the second floor is dramatically, huge with literally an archery range indoors on the side of the main floor. the hunting decorations are impressive and the bar is really cool the outdoor areas nice and convenient. There are large TVs everywhere. It has an office area. The dining room table sits about 18 people. I cannot say enough about this place. It is fantastic. I would only add maybe electrical warmers outside since we went in January and it was really cold. I understand that that is asking a lot but it’s something to consider. We loved our stay and we are definitely going to stay here again.

The location is very spacious inside and secluded outside. The owner is on the same property but a good distance away so it was still private. However, they were close enough to assist us with a couple of items that we forgot to bring. We have already booked for next year. This place is unforgettable! You can't find a better atmosphere for a bourbon trail or hunting trip. It has all the large TVs and connectivity to watch sports or whatever while at the same time feeling like a remote rustic hunting lodge.

We were a group of 11 friends who toured the Bourbon trail for 5 days This place was more than perfect for us to have plenty of comfort and space. It is located perfectly to tour different distilleries in several locations. We made breakfast and dinner everyday and the kitchen worked wonderful for us. Even showering never ran out of hot water. Everyone enjoyed coming back each night to this lovely lofty barn. The only problem was the rainy weather, so didn't get to enjoy the firepit or outside bar. Of course we still tried one evening. Not a fault of the owners. Another problem was they wouldn't let us take the two dogs home with us. So if you have a large group this is the place to stay!

This property was beautiful and just what we wanted for our wedding reception. We had family and friends traveling from several states to come celebrate with us. All the guests were in awe of how beautiful it was and the space. The outdoor space was the best. We set up a karaoke machine and danced the night away. We will definitely consider having more gatherings here!

We stayed here for 5 days and had an amazing time! 3 adult couples and longtime friends in Kentucky for the first time to do the Bourbon Trail and go to the Kentucky/Florida football game. This place was conveniently located to everything we did. It’s a great place to unplug and get away from it all. We loved sitting out by the fire pit at night, listening to music on the tv in the silo and grilling out. Had everything we needed and we all had a great time! Pictures are accurate but they can’t convey the peacefulness we experienced while being there. No interference at all from those working in the barn while we were there. The owners, or someone nearby has 2 of the sweetest dogs that we loved seeing each day as well. Great place to stay for couples, highly recommend!

My girlfriends and I chose this for a bachelorette party and to go on the Bourbon Trails. It was an amazing stay. The place was beautiful! They were amazing to work with and even booked our tour for us and gave us all the information we needed! I highly recommend! I will stay there again if we’re ever in the area!

Seven of us stayed here to do part of the bourbon trail. There was tons of room for everyone. Property was close to our chosen distilleries. There was plenty of cooking utensils. The place was very clean as in walking barefoot my feet were clean. The listing was accurate. I would definitely stay here again with a big group.

Very spacious and clean. The property is more of a hunters lodge, but worked out perfect for our needs as we were touring the Bourbon Trail, and it is centrally located on the trail.

We stayed here to celebrate my birthday and also attend the Kentucky Derby. It was so much better in person, the pictures do not do it justice! It was close enough to town to get supplies for meals and had everything we needed for cooking. We enjoyed the fire pit and playing bean bags in the beautiful weather. We would definitely stay here again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning barndo for a bourbon trail trip with a my family. I can honestly say that it was the highlight of our trip. We loved coming home after a long day and hanging out. This place is absolutely amazing!
Firstly, the location is perfect. It's situated right in the heart of the bourbon trail, so it was ideal for our group who were looking to explore the distilleries in the Bardstown area on day and Frankfort the next.
The barndo itself was beyond our expectations. It had all the amenities we could ask for. Plus, there was an extra queen bedroom that wasn't even listed on the VRBO website, which was a pleasant surprise. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the living area was spacious enough for our group to hang out and relax after a long day of touring.
The real surprise of the property, though, was the outdoor converted silo bar and fire pit. They were also not included in the listing pictures. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a drink after a busy day of bourbon tasting. We spent early evenings out there, enjoying the sunset, bonfires, and Drake (the dog)!
Overall, I would highly recommend this barndo to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay during their bourbon trail adventure. It was the perfect home away from home for us, and we can't wait to come back again soon! Five stars all around.

Beautiful property for friends & family to stay while touring the Bourbon Trail. I would suggest bringing robes to use because the bathrooms arent very close to the bedrooms. Very large area for everyone to sit around except the kitchen. The grill is charcoal only so plan ahead.

Andy & Melynda we’re fantastic hosts! Like everyone else said, the lodging is even larger and better than the pictures and listing show. It was perfect for our Southern Stave Bourbon Society annual trip. The fire pit, outdoor bar and rec area, inside bar and large tables/many bedrooms made it great for our group. Highly recommend this place! You will not be disappointed. We are already planning our trip for next year!

This barn loft is perfect for a trip to bourbon country! The bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms are all great, but the living area complete with a bar and plenty of seating is absolutely fantastic! We had a great time hanging out in the silo/ outdoor patio area which has a charcoal grill, fire pit, and flat screen tv. I would highly recommend renting this place for a guy's weekend!

We are a group of 7 friends from college that all turned 60 this year. We decided to make it an adventure and make it special. We all enjoy bourbon, or at least now they do! The house was Fantastic! Convenient! Beautiful! Roomy! Zero Complaints! 1000 Compliments!!
I and a couple of the others are already planning another visit and will definitely stay there again. We will be planning our trip around availability instead of the other way around...It's That Nice!!

Location is very private and was great for our getaway. We had 8 adults there and it worked perfectly with the multiple rooms. The common space was huge and was great for interacting with everyone. Owners were very prompt with communication and very friendly. Thanks for a great stay.

Terrific Stay
We had a group of 8 for a bachelorette party. The house exceeded my expectations. It was much larger in person and was perfect for our group. The owner communicated very well and a question never went unanswered. We also rented the bus and Sam our driver was amazing! The property and bus were both clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay again!

Great home base for Bourbon Trail
Six friends stayed at the property while touring the Bourbon Trail. This place is huge!!! I knew it looked big in the pictures, but it was bigger in person. Very clean and well maintained. We had an RV and there was very easy access and ample parking, The owner even let me plug in to keep the batteries charged and fridge running. Nice firepit and place to grill our dinners. It was not an issue for us, but for people with mobility issues, the kitchen and living areas are on different floors. Again, not a problem with us, just want to point it out for people that may have issues with stairs.
Overall this place is great and I would definitely stay here again when in the area.
