About this cabin rental
The Camp Creek Lodge is located in the heart of the alpine village at the base of the Glade Trail. It was constructed in 1938. The cabin features a knotty pine interior and a majestic stone fireplace.
The main level contains the entry foyer, living room / dining area, kitchen, utility room, a full-bathroom, a half-bathroom, and the main entry foyer. The upstairs contains two bedrooms, and a sleeping area at the top of the stairs. Each upstairs bedroom has air-conditioning during summer for better warm weather sleeping. There have been multiple improvements throughout the years to make the cabin more comfortable, convenient, and safe without sacrificing the work done by the skilled craftsman of the 1930's.
The roads to the cabin and parking at the cabin are plowed during winter. There is parking for two cars on site with nearby public parking available for additional vehicles.
The cabin has plenty of yard area for children to play and just up the road at the dead end is a great winter play area with a hill ideal for inner-tubing. Access to the trails along the north side of Government Camp are accessed through this area and lead to a large network of hiking/cross country skiing/snowshoeing trails. Trails to south side of the village can be access by walking over the Multorpor bridge. These trails give easy access all the way to Trillium Lake and beyond.
Village shops and restaurants are only a two minute walk away, ideal for be able to leave the car at the cabin when doing culinary and retail exploring.
The cabin is stocked with board games and videos. The Govy General Store (200' away) rents DVD's and sells items to make your trip even more enjoyable.
While at the cabin don't forget to check out the Mt. Hood Museum and Cultural Center.
This cabin is vintage 1938 (Timberline Lodge era) with a 1974 addition, this means it’s full of quirks and character and that’s why we adore it so much. If you are more comfortable in a sleek modern cabin, we gently suggest this cabin might not be the best fit for your getaway.
IMPORTANT - Shortly after booking our cabin we will request payment for County Room Tax which VRBO is currently unable to capture at booking. These taxes are 6.35% of the amount you pay to VRBO. This situation is unwelcome for everyone, so we hope VRBO will update their software soon! All owners using VRBO for lodging on Mt. Hood are in the same situation. They used to collect this tax but tell us now their software is unable to do it. VRBO has told me they are working on a solution.

We loved absolutely everything about this wonderful little cabin! It had everything we needed for a super comfortable stay. The kids loved exploring the creek and we appreciated being close enough to walk to town. All communications with the owner went super smoothly and we can’t wait to come back.

We spent two nights at this cabin, and found it to be very charming. The sleeping situation is unique, so make sure that it will work for you. There were plenty of beds, and our bed and linens were clean and comfortable. The home itself is vintage, with most features being original, but we found it to be very clean, cozy, and charming. We loved the proximity to shops and restaurants, and the wall of windows with views of trees and snow in the main living area made us feel extra cozy!

Perfect location for Mt Hood adventures
This property certainly lived up to expectations ~ it is indeed cozy but very well appointed, a lovely cabin in the woods two blocks off the main road in Government Camp. The layout is well thought out, and accommodated 2 adults and 3 teen skiers perfectly. Would absolutely return, and hope to!

Cabin exactly as described plus more!!!
This cabin met our expectations and more!! It had all the comforts of home and so clean! The beds were so comfortable. There were lots of games, puzzles and checkers to occupy our grandson. The large windows across the back of cabin overlooking the brook made it so relaxing. We would definitely stay here again!

Great in Every Way
Perfect home base for family ski weekends. Proximity to skiing, restaurants, and general store couldn't be better. Extremely well outfitted and clean. Great wood stove. Beautiful view out back (don't forget to turn on the lights at night in a snowstorm). Really couldn't ask for more.

Cozy, quiet, roomy cabin
We had a wonderful stay in Blane's cabin. It's just tucked away enough from the main drag to feel private and quiet, especially with the creek running through the backyard. The kitchen was well equipped, the number of beds was incredible, and the fireplace was a favorite feature for sure. We loved our stay! I'm sure we'll be back.

AMAZING
Can't say enough good things about this property. I picked it solely off the views of the snow out the living room windows. It did not disappoint. The check in process and communication was the absolute best. Great location to all the local restaurants. Will be back for sure

A+ for Location and Comfort
Amazing location, steps to restaurants and general store. Minutes to the lift line at Ski Bowl. Ski, go home for lunch or tired kids, go back and ski some more. This is the IDEAL situation for ski families with young children. Extremely comfortable living spaces, with an amazing wooded backyard and stream. Can't wait to go back!

Perfect Cabin Experience in Government Camp!
We really loved the cabin and our time in Government Camp. The cabin is perfectly appointed and has everything you might need. The whole place was incredibly clean and everything worked well. (I've stayed at other places in Govt Camp where this was NOT the case.) The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The real star of the cabin is the living room, with big windows to see all the snow, a nice fireplace, comfy couches, and nice dinning table for eating and playing games. Also the location could not be better. It's just a 5 minute walk to the main Govy store and restaurants. The host, Blane, was very nice and responsive to any questions. Overall we had a wonderful visit and would happily stay at this great cabin again.

The cross town trail was a quick walk for us to take a snow hike on the day we didn’t ski. The beds were very comfortable and the creek behind the cabin lulled me to sleep! Blake was super responsive and helpful. We hope to return again!

Such a cozy cabin!
We wanted to give our daughter a special 18th birthday, this fit the bill perfectly! My husband and I had our own cozy room, and the girls (all 7 of them) fit in the upstairs general room all in beds. The rest of the house was just perfect for meals, playing cards, and watching movies. The location is right in the middle of activities in Government Camp including skiing and tubing. Blane was a good host and communicated very well. We'll definitely bookmark this spot for a repeat visit next snow season!

Perfect location, comfortable, and spacious!
We had a great time staying with another family in this sweet cabin! It is perfectly located near all the mountain snow fun:) This cabin was a stellar value with plenty of room for a few families. The neighborhood is well maintained during deep snow (which we were there for) so we got to enjoy winter fun without any of the hassles of snow removal, etc. Our hosts were incredibly gracious and communicative. We will be back!

Great Location!!
Super cute cabin, well appointed, and walking distance to everything Govy. Would have been 5 stars, but felt the sleeping linens and sleeping area's were lacking.
All in all we had a great time, and would rent again!

Delightful cabin by a mountain stream
We really enjoyed our stay here. It's nicely designed, decorated and maintained. The rushing mountains stream behind the house and easy closeness to Government Camp make it a great location for a mountain holiday.

Beautiful cabin, beautiful setting
This cabin was perfect and priced very nicely. It accomodated 9 people perfectly. The view from the living room windows felt like I was looking at a painting. Really enjoyed winding down here after a great couple days riding at Timberline. I would definitely come back.

Camp Creek Cabin
My family had a great time at this Government Camp cabin. When we arrived we found the cabin was just like our home, inviting, super clean, warm and ready for us. This cabin is located right in the heart of Government camp, it is a minutes walk to Huckleberry Inn, Charlies, the Govy Store, The Ratskellar restaurant and other shops.
This cabin has all the amenities of home, a fairly large well equipped kitchen, a large dining table able to seat a large family, plenty of comfy beds and lots of warm blankets. It has a nice wood stove, two large recliners and a comfy couch to spread out on in front of the TV or fireplace. There are plenty of board games, and DVD players and even a satellite TV system, all to keep your kids occupied and even mom and dad! A plus is, this cabin is also equipped with a full sized washer and dryer, which is a must with kids that goes through lots of gloves on those wet Mt Hood ski days. We will certainly return for next years spring break or Christmas break.

Cosy cabin in the heart of Government Camp
We loved this place. It was cosy, and the living area was great to hang out and relax after skiing. We were two families with 5 kids, and we had enough space. We will definitely try to come back next year!

Great Mountain Retreat
We had a great cozy weekend at this wonderful cabin! The ambience is perfect. Even though you are only a block away from all the conveniences of Government Camp, you still experience privacy and seclusion. Plenty of room, well stocked, clean and inviting. We enjoyed cross country skiing and played lots of games. We will definitely return and would highly recommend Camp Creek Lodge to our friends and family.

Great spot for family getaway
This cabin has a great location in government camp. It's easy to walk to anything in downtown. Downstairs has a big living room and dining room that is really nice for hanging out with a group. Really nice big windows for looking out at the snowy forest. The hosts are very nice and accomadating. We will definitely come back to this cabin in the future!

Amazing winter getaway!
The location of this cabin is exceptional! Everything is walking distance. The cabin was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the kitchen was very well stocked. The cabin has many windows to enjoy the view. The backyard was great for our kids to play in the snow. We were happy to enjoy the fireplace. It's a great place for families!

Great place to stay. Can't beat the location!
We had a great time with two families (7 adults/kids) staying in this cabin. Room for two cars in the driveway. Everything was in great working order. Awesome location, one block away from Govt. Camp main drive, and right behind the general store. Only minor negative is that the beds are all upstairs and the bathrooms are not, so need to go down steep staircase at night for restroom. Overall good value for larger group.

The Heart of Govy!
Our family has been blessed to spend many winters in this cabin over the past 15 years. We have hesitated to share this secret haven with others, it is THAT special. This is a cozy, impeccably clean cabin with a historic feel (think 1930s, Timberline, Eddie Bauer/LL Bean) which is owned by a family who has lived in Govy for generations. It is a mere two block stroll to Govy General Store, High Mountain Café, and the center of town. When it snows, you have the biggest backyard of mountains of pristine snow to build sledding runs and snow forts. When it does not snow, you can explore the cute cabins of Govy and the trails to Mt. Hood. There is a peaceful creek behind the property which keeps it very private and quiet.
The cabin has a full kitchen and laundry facilities and easily sleeps nine with room to spare. The main room boasts a woodstove, and there is excellent heating throughout. Two large SUVs can fit in the driveway, a bonus given that parking can be difficult in Govy. There are a variety of DISH channels and wifi with boosters, but something about the cabin makes even jaded tweens want to be "off the grid", play checkers, complete a jigsaw puzzle and hang out with the family. Given the amenities, it would be easy to not leave the cabin at all for many days. The owners are fantastic, live nearby and are immediately responsive about any need. We haven't had an issue more than a lightbulb burning out after more than a dozen stays here, as it is very well kept.
Locally, you are in the perfect spot for skiing at Timberline or Meadows... imagine "coming home" when everyone else has to drive back to the city! The horse drawn carriages sweetly jingle by during the winter season. Ski Bowl tubing is just across Hwy 26, though after sledding here, it seems silly to pay for tubing. Ski Bowl's summer activities are very close as well.
We have shared the cabin with coworkers, hosted a bachelor party and invited other families to sled at this cabin... it is very adaptable and a wonderful place to celebrate! We know that you will enjoy this cabin as much as we have!
