Believe me, you will sleep like a baby and wake up refreshed to start the day by exploring what Vancouver has to offer. Freshly renovated bedroom!
Our 480 square feet Garden level space has a coffeemaker, microwave, and fridge plus a small cooking area, 1 bedroom with a queen size bed, and a living room with a queen size sleeper sofa, TV, and WIFI.

Enjoy the quiet ambiance of one of Vancouver's loveliest and safest neighborhoods. Take advantage of the proximity to downtown, UBC, golf courses, fine restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and the long stretch of beaches.
Shopping and bus stops in walking distance (2 Blocks away - Dunbar St. and McKenzie St.).
Just steps away is the beautiful Balaclava Park with playgrounds, baseball, and soccer fields - just down the back lane.

Situated minutes away you find the Pacific Spirit Park, a West Coast rainforest next to the city for walking or biking. You might also find your way down to Jericho Beach 10 minutes by car or walk along the seawall in Stanley Park to take in Vancouver's breathtaking views.

We speak German and English and are more than happy to be your hosts! Always up for a chat but at the same time we respect your privacy.

The accommodation was great for us! Small, but well equipped, quiet, clean. The garden was also great! We barely heard Sascha and her family upstairs. Sascha is super friendly and helpful. We were also able to check in earlier. We traveled by bus, so it's quite a distance from the city. But doable. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at this property. Very comfortable in terms of size and amenities for a family of 3 and a beautiful garden to boot. Our host was friendly and flexible and we highly recommend it. Just keep in mind that it's a solid 15-20 minute Uber from downtown.

Good location in nice neighborhood with very helpful and friendly host. Private entrance with pleasant garden area. Very clean and great 4 legged greeting from “Luke”. Our son liked playing with him! Thanks Sascha 🙂

A great location with lots of options for walking around in a well established neighborhood. Host was great. It was close to UBC and the gardens and downtown. This is the basement of a beautiful old house. Lots of daylight coming in and a good breeze. Because it’s older you can hear the owners upstairs. If you need to sleep in it may be good to let the owners know. Kitchenette had everything you would need and the bedding in the bedroom was really nice.

Lovely property, garden, neighborhood, and host, Sascha, and Luke the adorable dog. Sascha’s artistic work adorns the garden apartment. Within walking distance of restaurants and market in residential district-easy to get downtown.

Sasha was a great host and made it very convenient to check in. She is very accommodating. It’s a lovely place to stay. Quiet and in a lovely neighborhood that is close to places to eat and grocery shop, etc. It was a little pricier than what had been originally advertised, so that is my only complaint, but otherwise it was great.

We had a fantastic stay at this place. Sascha was very friendly and helpful and responded quickly to our messages. The unit is small but cozy and comfortable, so it never felt too small. It had everything we needed and then some. We stayed here for two nights before an Alaskan cruise, and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. Thank you to Sascha for a great stay!

Our stay was amazing. Coming in as early as we did, it was nice that we could check in early. Our host and her family were very nice and accommodating. This rental is in a very nice part of Vancouver and it is affordable to Uber into the city. The space in this rental is well designed and takes care of all your needs. The kitchenette was perfect for the two of us. We would sit outside in the garden area and have our meals and enjoy the beautiful garden scenery. The bed was a little too soft for us, but it was cozy and warm. Definitely the place to stay during a visit to Vancouver.

This garden suite was spotless, well appointed, decorated with an artistic eye to detail in an excellent neighbourhood and with a delightful garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were in easy walking distance of amenities such as Stong's grocery store, a few restaurants, drug stores, buses and taxis. And our hosts responded quickly to the few questions we had. We would happily stay here again and have no hesitation giving this a 10 out of 10 rating. Thank you.

This one bedroom lower ground apartment is perfect for our visits to Vancouver. This is now our third time staying here, and it is in a lovely district. It is close enough to shops to walk, and is close to a main bus route on King Edward. On a sunny day it has a lovely space outside the door to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Central to university, airport, Granville Island and downtown Vancouver. Perfect place with quaint backyard. Short walk to groceries, bakery and a latte! Sascha was a great host.

Sascha was very nice and we met her and her dog, Luke, at check in. The neighborhood felt very safe and is very close to all the things we did (downtown, Granville Island, Capilano, and Stanley Park)! It was easy getting to and from her place and there was always ample street parking. The apartment itself was very clean and just what we needed for the weekend. It was great meeting Sascha and we will definitely come back!

Easy communication, basic suite with hotplate, microwave and fridge. Access to a shared washer/dryer. Good for a night or two. Need a car but easy to get all over Vancouver. It isn’t actually in Kitsilano, but in the Dunbar area, Kits is about 15 blocks away.

We enjoyed our stay. The downstairs rental was cozy, clean, and our hosts even provided some chocolate and German sparkling wine. Sasha was responsive to communication, accommodating to requests such as adjusting check in/out times, and the unit had an well stocked small kitchen with coffee provided. The only minor downsides we found were that some of the family's footsteps and voices could be heard in our bedroom (the unit is downstairs of the main house), but it was indeed minor, did not occur late into the night, and was not intrusive to our stay. The space felt very private and serene, and we had access to a lovely yard. We'd recommend it for any person or couple looking to stay in the upper Dunbar neighborhood of Vancouver.

We had all the conveniences necessary for a short stay. The accommodations are "cozy" and very quiet. One criticism would be the small bathroom mirror and lavatory set-up which is doable but not optimal. The owner appears to have taken great effort to provide for every need. It was an enjoyable stay.

Our stay at Sascha and her husband's lovely home was wonderful- the accommodations were very comfortable, and the backyard was lovely - it was a refreshing little oasis in the city, and yet close enough to everything. The little hammock swing was my favourite spot. Three adults were able to stay quite comfortably, and we really appreciated the clear, responsive communication by the hosts (and the coffee and champagne waiting for us!) Highly recommend - we will definitely be back!

The suite was comfortable and very well-equipped for our grandson, my husband and me. The garden was lovely and we enjoyed sitting in it for some meals. Our grandson loved playing with Luke the dog.

The lower level dwelling unit that we stayed at really exceeded my expectations. The unit was as described, but the unit was much more spacious than the pictures suggest. Sascha was a wonderful host and even provided a small bottle of champagne to welcome us. The unit was very clean and you can tell that a lot of work has gone into the place to modernize much of the interior. All needed amenities were available including dishware for 4 people. I mistakenly left an item at the property and Sascha was willing to ship it to me, so a big THANK YOU to her. I'd love to stay here again if we visit Vancouver in the future.

What a cute little apartment in the nice neighborhood of Dunbar. It's about 10 min from UBC - we drove to campus and walked around the little museums. Sascha was always available and kind - no issues. We parked our car - very safe - and took an Uber into downtown for convenience. No issues with an Uber coming to the apartment for pick-up. Highly recommended!
