The house was clean and the view was amazing! There are a couple of things that need repair but that did not take away from the enjoyment that our group had this week.

Had the best stay! The home is older but very clean and perfect for a long weekend getaway to the beach! The beachfront property

Perfect location right on what seems to be a popular beach. Beautiful town with lots to do, even if is super congested on the weekends. Cool historic locations nearby. Hosts were great and very clear with communications. Unit is in a historic 4 plex with reserved parking. Was very old with character but clean and had all the amenities you needed for your stay.

The location is fantastic and the house is well-stocked with essentials. There is lots of character in this old property with lots of original materials. However, if you are looking for frills or modern touches this property is not for you. We loved our stay!

Our third visit to Sullivan's and this unit. Perfect location. Beach access and view is amazing. Walking distance to restaurants. Owner is incredibly responsive and worked very hard to make sure everything was great during our stay. Highly Recommended!!!!

A little outdated, but such a peaceful place to stay. Heather was a great host and answered all questions quickly. We would stay here again and again!

Amazing location, right on the beach and incredible views of Ft Sumter and the harbor. The property is full of character - and history - with an updated bathroom and sink. If you are willing to forgo shiny and new you will be rewarded with an outstanding experience right next to Fort Moutrie on the quiet end of the island. We rented bikes and enjoyed the neighborhood and nature trails nearby. We would definitely rent this property again and appreciate the great communication and amenities.

Such a great beach cottage. Beds were really comfortable, there were plenty of glasses, plates and cooking needs in the kitchen, the view and accessibility to the beach were Fabulous. Heather was so helpful and easy to talk to. Looking forward to going back!

We loved it. It’s a such historical spot on the beach. I’m sure it once was quarters for the fort with a rich history of stories. The duplex has 4 apartments and we stayed in the bottom left apartment. It’s super cozy and rustic, but it’s been updated while leaving the charm of the original characteristics of the home. We could walk straight out to the beach and see the sunset or the boats cruise by from the harbor. The bathroom seemed newly updated too. Thanks for having us Heather!

Great location with one of a kind views. Nice unit but needs some updating and maintenance. Easy in and out process.

Place was exactly as shown and described. Like the location. Easy walk to local restaurants and bars. Coffee every morning on the screened in porch staring out at the water views. Beach area out front. Everything you need in the place and owners are very responsive to any questions that we had. Had a great time!

Location is exceptional. Property is so clean and well-maintained. The host treated us like family. Great memories. Could not ask for more.

The unit is oceanfront, as stated. What is not stated is the beach is somewhat of an "inlet". It was fine for our off season 3 days getaway, but since the public beach access is directly beside the unit, I would imagine beach space would be very limited during peak vacation times. The unit was cute! The kitchen could use a deep cleaning and some of the small appliances need to be updated or replaced, specifically, the toaster. Most of my dislikes have been addressed in other reviews, so no surprises upon arrival. It appears many of the comments are "constructive criticism," but the suggestions have not been addressed. The screened in porch was very nice but a few inexpensive improvements could have made it nicer. The patio furniture needs new cushions and pillows. The outside of the unit off from the kitchen needed the overgrown weeds cut and the old water hose and flowerpots should have been stored out of sight or trashed. The shower handle fell off many times, but we were able to put it back on to make it functional. The shower curtain was very pretty! It actually was the only "beachy" looking accessory in the unit. My personal opinion is this unit would be adorable decorated in a beach theme. The beds were comfortable. Linens were provided but consisted of 2 towels, one hand towel, and ONE washcloth per bed. Bring extra linens with you. Thankfully, there is a washer and dryer on the back porch, so we were able to wash the linens. One of the blinds in front bedroom did not open. One blind in the other bedroom was too short for adequate privacy.
I attempted to pull a curtain back in front bedroom to let some light in, but the curtain rod fell out of the bracket. I was able to put it back. The unit will sleep 4, but it was very crowded with only 2, particularly, the bathroom. I feel it was slightly overpriced.
My sister and I had a wonderful time, but we were only there for 3 days.

Ok property. Needs some minor repairs - hook on bathroom door was broken; tub faucet needs repair. A bath mat would have been nice to have in the bathroom. The porch is nice but there’s no ceiling fan so you can’t really enjoy it.

Perfect Location!
I always get up an hour or two before my wife and enjoy strolling around with a cup of coffee. I also enjoy (far more than my wife) exploring old forts. This was the perfect location for that!

Fantastic Rental
I have had the pleasure of renting this property several times and it never disappoints. Very clean and convenient not only to the beach but to all Sullivan's has to offer. The owner is always a pleasure to deal with and goes out of her way to make your stay a special experience. 5 stars!

Location and sunsets great. Accommodations did not meet expectation.
This property is described as "beautifully decorated with charm and comfort to match the 100+-year-old home." The antiques were charming but the space is in need of updating, some repair, and organization for the price level.

recommend but very expensive
Quiet and beautiful location with views of the water from the very old house. Price reflects the location not the quality of the unit.

Nice location
It was a very nice location, but the place itself is very rustic and the appliances really need a cleaning.

Sunsets from the porch or beach are not to be missed! We canceled 2 dinner reservations so we wouldn’t miss them. This place is so cute & comfortable.

Relaxing stay, Beautiful Sunsets
This property was a perfect relaxation spot for our road trip to the Charleston area. Gorgeous sunsets, perfect view of Fort Sumter, beautiful beach, easy parking, friendly neighbors and quiet stay. We had issues with the WiFi and the TV, but the host gave us alternative access. And who needs tv when there is that beach and sunsets! We’ll definitely be back again in the future.

Sully
Sullivans Island is the epitome of the sleepy southern barrier island. This location is spectacular ... from the cargo ships paasing by, sunsets, and sharing a beverage in the adirondack chairs with other guest. The place is warming and inviting . We will definitely return!!!

Oceanfront Serenity
Every once in awhile, we’ll select an accommodation that provides the feeling of “time stands still.” The warmth of this home evokes that feeling. Clean and up to date in amenities, yet great grandmother’s place that you can’t wait to come back to because the bed in her home feels more comfy than your own. You just returned from the loud music at the wedding you attended 2 miles away. When you walk through the door, the calm is immediate. You know the beach and waters’ edge is awaiting your company with your morning coffee. The day you leave, you take time to visit the butterfly garden in silence right outside your door so you can capture the aura for one last memory. Everything in the appliance and electric arena works, amenities in towels/bedding are plentiful, furniture clean and comfy, communication with owners efficient, location beyond excellent, 30 mins to center of Charleston, 10 mins to every amenity needed (grocery, manicure, spa, restaurants galore, church, bar, etc), cook in, eat out, water pressure and temp great, parking right there, and no bugs. If you’re going to inspect for evidence of yearly renewed paint and canned/dimmable lighting in the ceilings, don’t go here. You have to enjoy the music from original wood floors and standing on the bed to pull the switch so you get the fan but not the light. This home is full of life. We will definitely request upon our next visit to the Charleston area. Thank you for your hospitality!

Charming Oceanfront property
This condo is charming. It is incredibly clean and the views are amazing. Every night, the tenants of all four units came out to watch the sunset and enjoyed each other's company, food, and drinks. My 13 yr old daughter loved being able to go back and forth to the beach at her leisure and Fort Moultrie (next door) has some lovely trails to walk.

Great location!
The location is fantastic - the beach, the sunset views, views of/proximity to downtown Charleston. The property is exactly as the pictures show: cozy and modest. It is a perfect place to spend a few days!

Location Location
Superb sunsets, great place to walk on the beach & view shipping traffic. Easy access to sites n & around Charleston. The owner is easy to connect with & there r plenty of supplies (paper towels, TP, etc) on site. The condo is 30’s vintage & could use some tidying up & a few repairs.

Best location on the island
Beach was right outside the door. A directly walkable and small seemed like a private swim-able beach was right out the door. No walking to beach access then down a long boardwalk-perfect location. Just far enough away from the packed restaurants but they were still there when you needed them. Rental was clean, during Charleston heat warning A/C working great. My only issue was that this isn’t really a 4 person place. There is a queen bed and a full bed. BUT, I carefully analyzed the photos and knew this before booking and brought an air mattress knowing my high school age teens would not fit in bed. We all decided before booking we would prefer to be on the beach so booked. We were very happy with location. Furniture could use some updating-but again we knew that from photos. Also-there were no beach towels provided or chairs but due to excellent communication from owner we knew that and brought all the necessary gear. We drove so no issue -if one were to fly that could be a problem. Would book again.

Great Waterfront Spot
We loved this location—right next to historic Ft. Moultrie and facing a quiet little beach. Just perfect for a getaway!

Wonderful, will return
We had a lovely stay at this property. The place is just as listed. A historic home that is rustic in some ways, but updated in the ways that mattered the most to us. Really nice mattresses, towels and linens. Good WiFi, a high-functioning A/C (actually there was an issue with the A/C when we arrived but Heather was so responsive and had it repaired within just a couple hours). The house is stocked with everything you could need -- we packed so many things only to find they were supplied already. Plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry hampers, fans, beach chairs.... you name it. The house was clean and very comfortable. We loved the excellent location and would love to visit again.

Charming home, Amazing location!
We had 3 adults in our party and spent the 4th of July week and weekend at the property. We loved the proximity to the beach, Ft Moultrie, and good food. The island is very drivable and other sites are close by. The house is so close to the beach, you can hear the waves from the porch. Even though the house is near a public beach access, we enjoyed lots of privacy, felt very safe and never had issues with parking. Sullivan’s Island was fantastic and we loved the quiet stretches of beach where we could go for walks in the morning and night - very scenic and not very crowded even on a holiday weekend. We loved the screened porch and played lots of card games out there each night and enjoyed a couple of afternoon naps. Lots of antique furniture, which is charming, but wasn’t very functional, so we lacked a bit of shelf storage and we had to get creative on places to hang wet bath towels. That said, the closets had plenty of space and ample hangers. Queen bed was memory foam and very comfy. The double bed was a bit too firm, so one of us slept on the couch after the first couple of days, which was pretty comfy. Front door was hard to close with the lockbox on it. Heather was a very responsive host and answered our questions very promptly. Overall, a lovely, charming home and a fantastic location. It was great for our family vacation and we enjoyed our stay!

Porch with a view
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this historical home. Everything was clean and fresh upon arrival. The queen bed was very comfortable. My favorite was the screened porch. There was a little problem with the toilet, which I let Heather know about, and now is repaired. Some of the reviews mention house being dated, but I found it added to the character and charm…..after all the house was built in early 1900’s 😉. We love Sullivan’s Island and will visit again.

Pleasant stay on Sullivan's Island
We enjoyed our stay at Heather's property. The house was neat and clean and the kitchen had everything one might want. We enjoyed being close to the water and walked the beach often. I appreciated the quiet of the area and the nice breeze on the screened porch on a very hot day. Communication with Heather was excellent.

Terrible out dated and in need of repairs
When I walked in and saw the property I searched my contract for cancellation policy. Plumber’s Friend was center of bathroom. Handle fell off shower head leaving just a pipe. Interior paint peeling. Bare linoleum places in kitchen floor. Bedroom blinds too small so that people walking by could see me in bed. Bathroom sink clogged. Cut my hand trying to open front door. Fell while standing on bed trying to reach overhead pull string and cut my leg so that it bled on bedspread. Bare feet were dirty after walking across floor. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

the sunsets....
The property is small and somewhat dated but the location is great and the sunsets...well, the sunsets are spectacular. The beach is really beautiful. We traveled with our kids ages 2 and 9 and everyone loved it. We had a really great time.
