Lake Shore House is a fully equipped vacation rental on Lake Michigan. Beautiful unobstructed lake views on one of America’s Great Lakes, offers a relaxing mid-week, weekend, or week retreat. Since 2007 we have hosted hundreds of guests at Lake Shore House, providing them with ambience, cleanliness, and an easy reservation and access procedure. We are open 365 days a year. Guests come from Europe and all 50 states to enjoy the lake. In summer they enjoy the beach and tranquility, fall the autumnal colors and privacy, winter the frozen lake and winter activities and spring to cure cabin fever with a fresh getaway. The sunrise and moonrise shimmering across the lake have brought special memories to guests and families throughout the year and are reflected in the Lake Shore House visitor’s log.
Not your typical cookie-cutter destination, Lake Shore House offers privacy in a single-family home that features central air-conditioning, hardwood floors, laundry, wood-burning stove, one-car garage, expansive deck, updated kitchen and bathes. Sleeping accommodations for six, two second floor bedrooms with skylights and ceiling fans, one with a king size bed and a balcony overlooking the Lake, the other featuring a queen size bed, plus a queen sleeper sofa in the living room with abundant natural light from three directions. The main floor ceramic tile bath has a full-size tub with shower and pedestal sink. The lower level features a half-bath, laundry and a twin rollaway bed.
If you are a couple, single, family, multi-generational, girl’s getaway or other guest, we have hosted just about every type and lifestyle of guest. We embrace diversity. We are dog friendly and have had just about every breed of dog. If you would like to bring yours, tell us something about them, we rarely turn well groomed and behaved dogs away.
As your host, I am equipped to handle last-minute bookings.
Exterior Maintenance: Like all accommodation providers, exterior maintenance (lawn mowing, weeding, pruning and snow shoveling) needs to be addressed occasionally during your stay at Lake Shore House. We attempt to limit these activities and arrange to accomplish them forty-five minutes prior to check out time (10 AM). Sometimes you might see me as the owner, or a person contracted to perform exterior routine maintenance on the property at other times as well.

The house and the views were AH-MAZING! The house was so cozy, the artwork by the owner Mark was beautiful, and the waves of Lake Michigan were soothing to fall asleep to at night!
We highly recommend this house to anyone who needs to get away for some R and R, will not be disappointed!

Except for the lack of saltwater, we thought we were staying at a gulf shore home on the water! Perfect sunrises, and even caught a nighttime thunder/lightening storm over lake Michigan. Accommodations were excellent and the kitchen was very well appointed.
The owner stopped by to wish us well and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very nice kitchen and living room. Small TV. Both bedrooms are on second floor with bath/shower on main living area. Lots of stairs, so if you have bad knees this place isn't for you. But the sunrises were amazing and it was quiet and so pleasant to sit out on the back deck on a cliff over looking Lake Michigan. Great location in Sheboygan.

This property is a small house directly overlooking the lake. The patio in the back is so welcoming and makes for a relaxing afternoon or evening. The upstairs balcony (also overlooking the lake) made for relaxing mornings: Sipping tea and coffee while watching birds or people on the lake. We only had one sunny day out of our five day stay, but we used it to sit by the fireplace and watch the stars. Even on the rainy days, it was fun to watch the storm roll in over the lake or sit on the couch with a fire going in the wood burning stove and watch a DVD, which are provided. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need and you can tell that the owner really tries to make everyone feel welcomed. We traveled with our dog and she immediately felt welcomed. It's a very short walk to a beach area and a very short drive to downtown Sheboygan. We probably would have walked if it wasn't so rainy. Great restaurants in the area!!! Neighborhood is pretty quiet, clean and the people are all very friendly. We felt safe at all times and really enjoyed our stay. Mark is great at responding fast to any questions you may have. Thank you for such an enjoyable, relaxing stay!

What a relaxing getaway for us who are busy raising three kids- 21,17 and 14. It’s been well over a decade since we did anything as husband and wife, without the kids. We grew up in Port Washington and savored being on Lake Michigan on two beautiful Spring Days. We took lots of walks and ate take out on the patio. With such views who needs a restaurant?? A total gem of a place, we will be back again. Thank you Mark!!

The views were incredible! The photos in the listing don’t do it justice! Being able to watch the sunrise and see the full moon over the lake from the balcony was stunning! The large windows and slider doors allow you to view the lake when you’re cooking and eating as well! We also brought our dogs which is something that usually makes it difficult to travel! But they were welcomed and had a blast being with us! Dog gates and sheets to cover the couch were provided which was great! The host replies quick and had personal touches in the home that made you feel connected to them and very much welcomed! Would stay here again in the summer!

Very comfortable and clean house. So wish the weather was better to sit and enjoy the view outdoors. Did get to watch an amazing sunrise from balcony bedroom and kitchen table! Loved the closeness to the downtown area and river boardwalk! Only drawback for us was too many stairs, since my husband uses a walker, but we made it work for us.

We were in town for a wedding in Kohler. We actually booked a hotel for Thursday night because the property was not available for our extension. So we enjoyed golf on Friday morning at Riverdale CC—awesome course. The location of the house was perfect! Minutes from the Riverfront. We had a fab dinner at Lino’s & a wonderful lunch at Parker John’s. Both on the water. Breakfast at Field to Fork downtown Sheboygan also great food! Our check in was seamless. The house was clean & comfortable & the view was serene & private. 15 minutes from Kohler. Plenty to do in the area. We enjoyed our weekend at this little getaway home.

Overall our stay was wonderful at Lake Shore House. Ideal location to just getaway. Sunrise was breathtaking, view of Lake Michigan was amazing. The homeowner thought of everything. Literally anything you would need for cooking, entertainment, bed linens, or even just sitting outside watching the boats, the birds, the sunrise. Our first visit to Wisconsin and it was one that will be remembered. We will definitely be back!

My wife, puppy, and zi rented this charming home overlooking Lake Michigan and could not have been more pleased with our choice. The location is perfect, overlooking the Lake and within walking distance of beaches, shopping, and restaurants. The home is very clean and comfortable including the Master bedroom and included every convenience of home. The owner, Mark Nash, is a talented artist and several of his works enhance the eclectic vibe of the interior. I loved being able to watch the waves break standing outside on the bluff and from the Master bedroom deck.

Nicely decorated house with a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan. Stayed as the cold weather started in November and caught a couple of beautiful sunrises. Didn't use the backyard due to frigid temperatures, but it would have been nice in the warm weather. Street is fairly quiet and the view of Lake Michigan from the dining room and the master bedroom. Some nice touches, like a pair of binoculars available. Kitchen was very well outfitted.

This was my first experience with renting a house. I am older and have some mobility issues. I had a hard time getting the key out of the lockbox. The steps at the side door going up to the kitchen did not have a handrail. I was confused with some of the lights and outlets.
