About this house rental
“Keep Calm” is a 2400sf two-story renovated upside-down house with open plan space on the upstairs floor.
On the ground floor there are 4 bedrooms and a laundry nook. Built in early 2022, the main bedroom has a king sized bed, walk in closet and en-suite bathroom. This bedroom faces East and has additional privacy. Also on the ground floor are three additional bedrooms. One bedroom has a king size bed, generous closets, 2 dressers and has an en-suite full bathroom, this could be used as a second master. From this room a set of sliders lead to an outdoor deck, which has a set of chairs that face West, and a private outdoor shower (with door) where you can enjoy a hot outdoor shower. Two more bedrooms on the ground floor each have two twin beds and one has a pull-out couch. All of the bedrooms have blackout shades on the windows and duvets on the beds. There is a full hall bathroom on the ground floor (to service the rooms with the twin beds) and a brand new LG washer and LG dryer in the laundry nook that is in the hallway that leads to the main bedroom.
Upstairs is a large open floor plan with abundant windows, two sets of sliding doors, a skylight and a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. The light and breezes from all of those windows is beautiful. On one side of the staircase is a living area with Roku TV, Sonos speakers and a seating area that accommodates 8 people. On the other side is a dining table that seats 8. Also upstairs is a small powder room with skylight and a carrera marble sink stand. New light fixtures throughout the house give it a modern feel.
The kitchen, including new cabinets and countertop, was installed in early 2022. The kitchen offers all new appliances including a Wolf range, chefs quality exhaust and stainless steel refrigerator with french doors. The kitchen is fully outfitted with everything you need to make your stay comfortable including basic pantry items, an electric kettle, blender, coffee maker, french press, toaster, platters for entertaining, microwave and a lobster pot.
From the living room area, through two sets of sliders, is a large wrap around deck with a teak table that can seat 6, an outdoor sectional and a Weber grill. Here you can enjoy ocean breezes, views over the backyard and western sunsets. You may even be able to see the fireworks at Jettie's Beach on the 4th of July. The property has an oversized yard with lots of space and privacy for all to enjoy.
Other special touches that encourage you to enjoy your vacation is a basket of extra blankets by the door that you can use to ward off an evening chill, a large book selection and a selection of games.
It is a short walk or bike ride to the Sconset Beach, the Sconset playground, Sankaty Lighthouse and 'Sconset Village (.5 mile) which is a charming hub of activity with restaurants and clothing shops, provisions market, ice cream store and East facing ocean. Be sure to check out the seals on the beach, take a stroll along the Sconset Bluff Walk and take a photo near the charming homes on the iconic Front Street.
The beginning of the 7 mile Polpis Road bike path is nearby as is the Wave bus stop which conveniently takes you to Nantucket Town where you can enjoy incredible restaurants, Dreamland Movie Theater, shopping, museums, etc. While we do recommend that you have a car on island, the bike paths and the bus routes can get you almost anywhere that you want to go.
The television is a ROKU and has cable. If you want to link to your Amazon account, you can set log in and set it up.
There are SONOS speakers that you can connect to to listen to your music.
Light bulbs, a vacuum, mop, recycling bins, clear trash bags and other supplies are located in the pantry closet (located near the kitchen).
Beach chairs and beach umbrellas are available for your use. We have plenty of beach towels available. We do not offer bikes, but there are many rental companies on island.
Cleaners were at the house before you arrived and will come after you leave.
Landscapers will arrive once per week to cut the grass and keep the landscaping tidy and trash collection is twice a week. The bin receptacle is located behind the garage. Please remember that Nantucket has strict recycling requirements and separate trash cans are available in the kitchen to help you with recycling. All items that go in the trash must be bagged and tied.

Light and Bright, as advertised. Kitchen and bathrooms were well-equipped. 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms make it very comfortable for two couples. Close enough to ‘Sconset for a morning stroll to get fresh-baked muffins, scones, etc. Excellent, timely, communications from our host were greatly appreciated. Overall, a very relaxing, enjoyable, experience.

My husband and our 3 children (ages 6, 8, and 10) just finished a week long stay at this home. Sarah and Tim were fantastic hosts. The location was perfect for our needs. It is only a 5 minute walk to the Sconset Bluff Walk, and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The house is set back far enough from the road that it feels very private. It is also important to note that there is not a lot of traffic on the road and no traffic at night (unlike some other parts of the island closer to town). Our kids enjoyed playing in the back yard. The house itself is lovely. It is tasteful decorated and very clean and cheerful. We loved all of the windows and light! The bedrooms were all very comfortableon the main level, and the kitchen/living/dining is all on the second level. It has a large outdoor deck off of the living room, which was the perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The deck had beautiful sunset views. There were many nights we sat on the balcony looking at the stars. The outdoor shower was perfect after a day at the beach. The owners obviously care very much for their home, and it shows. We had another wonderful week at Keep Calm. The house is lovely and very clean with everything you could possibly need. Sarah was very easy to communicate with and was very welcoming. Restaurants, beaches and the bluff walk are all a wonderful part of Sconset. We can’t wait tor our week next year.

Sarah and Tim were great leading up to our stay and was a very easy check in. We love Sconset and the house was perfectly situated far enough yet close enough to town where we could walk in each morning. Plenty of space and the upstairs area was a great open space for our family. We will be back indeed!!

Keep Calm is the perfect name for this tranquil setting. A spectacularly appointed home in the heart of the Siasconset my favorite area of the island. Just steps away from Claudette’s for sandwiches and coffee or the elegance of the 5 star The Chanticleer and The Summer House restaurants. The hosts are the most amazing and accommodating people, always at the ready to please. I have stayed in over 10 different places on the island over the years. But Sarah and Tim are the reasons that I have come back to Keep Calm three years in a row and for many years to come.

This is our second time staying at 'Keep Calm' and it just keeps getting better. Tim and Sarah are incredible hosts, accommodating, communicative and impeccable owners of this gorgeous home. The property was sparkling clean, stocked with everything we needed and is even more beautiful than it is in the pictures. We already booked again for next year. Second time we stayed at Keep Calm. It's a fantastic property. Great yard for kids to run around. Second floor living brings in the morning light and evening sunsets. The home is even better in-person and Sarah is great to communicate with. We'll be back!

We loved our stay with our family (teenagers and friends) in this lovely house. Owners were very responsive to questions, location is close to Sconset, and house is bright, sunny and very functional for hosting a family. Highly recommend!

We had the best stay in this home. Not only was the house very clean and well appointed but Tim and Sarah were such lovely hosts. Bedroom layout and living space was very comfortable and the home lived very well for our family of 5 (plus a babysitter). It's on wonderful piece of property with great outdoor space and beautiful sunsets. The kitchen and home had everything we needed and everything felt new and fresh. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends who rent in this area. You should book and enjoy a restful and comfortable stay at Keep Calm!

We had such a lovely stay at Keep Calm for our family’s vacation to Nantucket. We were traveling with a 4 year old and a 5 month old, and there was plenty of space for everyone. Sarah was very helpful and communicative leading up to and during the trip. The house is an approx 10 min walk to Sconset, which was easy to do with a stroller for the baby and was manageable for the 4 yo to do on foot. We rented bikes through Young’s (they delivered them to the house) and so we made frequent use of the Polpis bike path that begins just steps from the house. All in all, everyone agrees this was one of our best vacations ever (which is not easy to do with two little ones), and so much of that success is due to the fantastic accommodations provided by Sarah and Tim. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

I have stayed in many houses on Nantucket Island and this is among the best. Nice property and beautiful home inside and out, as accurately depicted in the photographs in the listing. Clean and comfortable with a great layout and lovely spaces inside and outside. Has everything you need and then some.
This is a great location in Sconset. Sankaty Light and the Sconset Bluff Walk are within walking distance, as are Sconset Market and nearby restaurants and shops (Chanticleer, Claudette's, Sconset Cafe).
Owners were pleasant and always quick to respond. I would definitely stay here again.

We have been vacationing on Nantucket for over 20 years. I have rented all over the island and Siasconset is my favorite location and this property is in the ideal location. Located walking distance to the light house and the bluff walk. It’s a skip down to the coffee shop the beach and the finest dinning on the island (The Summer House & The Chanticleer).
The home is spotless and appointed with anything you could need. People tend to gather in the great room and what a room it is. Open post and beams in a brilliant white. A sitting area that offers spectacular sunsets with a large living room with very large screen TV, SONOS speakers and large comfy seating for all. The kitchen is spectacular with a WOLF range that is a lot to cook on. Granite counters and all the appliances, and cookware you can imagine. The eating area is spacious and filled with light due to the wrap around windows. There is so much more with the multiple decks, yard and amenities. I will leave it at this. I have never rented the same spot twice. This is the exception as we plann to stay in this property every summer going forward. Greatest hosts on the island.

Sarah and Tim's house in 'Sconset is perfection. We never wanted to leave. The house is beautifully renovated, has everything you'd ever need, a quick walk from the beach, coffee and sandwiches at Claudettes and the little grocer. We enjoyed sitting on the beautiful deck enjoying the lovely sunsets with our two small children. We are already planning our return next year. Communication with Sarah with extremely easy. We just finished a lovely stay at Keep Calm. The house was as beautiful as pictured and conveniently located by the famous bluff walk of Sconset. We walked to the charming village daily and enjoyed all the local restaurants and beach. If you are looking for a beautiful serene place to relax this is your place.

Fabulous house and location
Wonderful stay at this beautiful house! Layout worked great for our family and the front and backyards were bigger than photos made them appear. Quiet neighborhood allows for relaxing and quick walks to downtown Sconset is perfect for older kids to get their own ice cream from the Sconset market. We will definitely be back.

Keep Calm was lovely
Keep Calm in Sconset was absolutely lovely. Home was fantastic, pristine with wonderful amenities. Great deck and excellent location with a quick walk or bike ride to town, the beach, or the bus stop. Owners were very helpful and communicative. So many fun things to do with great beach, walks and bike rides. I would definitely stay here again! It is well named, we all had a great time and relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful island of Nantucket.

Perfect Property and Wonderful Hosts
Our family booked this property relatively last-minute for our first vacation since before COVID. It was the perfect home & location for a relaxing week at the beach. Sarah & Tim were extremely helpful throughout the booking process and leading up to our visit. Having booked last minute and not having been to Sconset before, we had a number of questions--they answered promptly and were extremely helpful in their responses. The house itself was perfect for our trip. Our group included two couples and two toddlers and the house worked well for that size group. Sarah recommended renting baby gear (we used Nantucket Baby) and having a crib and high chair delivered in advance made things easy. The upside-down layout was awesome--we loved having sweeping views from the kitchen, living space, and deck--and the large property felt very private. Location was perfect and loved the walkability. The house is perfectly situated for an easy walk to the main part of Sconset for breakfast or ice cream at Sconset Market or sandwiches at Claudette's then onward to the beach just down the hill. Heading the other direction provided an easy walk to Sankaty Lighthouse or the Sconset bluff walk. We truly love our visits and were grateful for the ease of communication with our hosts and would love to return soon!

Perfect House in Sconset
Home was exactly as pictured online. We came with our two kids and our nanny. It was the first time our almost 3 year old and 9 month old ever slept in the same room, but with all of the activities we did they were worn out and slept great! Home has great updates and loved the upstairs open floorplan and balcony overlooking the neighborhood! Owners were great at communicating as well.

Perfect Sconset Home
Keep Calm is a perfect beach house in beautiful Sconset. The second floor open living space was light and breezy and flooded with light. Wrapped with windows, sliding doors and the outdoor deck, the family happily enjoyed indoor / outdoor living and beautiful views.
The downstairs bedrooms/bathrooms were very comfortable and well-equipped. Laundry and garage access/storage was incredibly convenient.

Wonderful house in ‘Sconset
This house is a easy walk to ‘Sconset market, the beach, and playground. It felt like we were a world away from the crowds while still having many amenities nearby. The house slept 5 comfortably and the open concept upstairs with deck was a beautiful area for the group to gather and enjoy the scenery and ocean breeze. The owners were very kind and easy to work with. We felt very welcome. Thank you for a wonderful stay in ‘Sconset!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 44 Sankaty. The house is clean, bright, airy, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Communication with the owner was timely and helpful. The location is great for being able to walk into Sconset and to go to the beach. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely Vacation Home
This is a wonderful home in a superb location where you can walk to the quaint, historic village of ‘Sconset as well as the beautiful beach. The bike path is just yards from the Polpis bike path, which in our opinion is the best on the island. The house is a chic, bright beach house with lots of outdoor space. It is well-equipped with everything you need. Our interactions were with the owner, Sarah, who is very gracious, kind and accommodating. We are reserving for next year, which says it all!

Beautiful home. Equipped with everything one would need while on vacation. Spacious living area and kitchen. Great views from dining area and deck. Kids had a great time playing wiffle ball in spacious yard. We will definitely return next year!
