This unit is nicely placed in Okaloosa to view but the Gulf and the harbor. The sunset looking from the penthouse view where you can watch the sun go down behind the prier! Just breath taking. The lazy river and pool area is very welcoming and fun! The unit was very updated and relaxing if you want to just stay inside or have poor weather. I would highly recommend using this unit if looking for a wonderful getaway for yourself or for the family.

We really enjoyed our time in Ft. Walton/Destin, FL. The condo was beautiful and very clean when we checked in. It had all the amenities and lots of room for us. Our kids loved the pool and hot tubs. The convenience of being close to the beach, restaurants and grocery store was great too. We would definitely consider this condo again for any future trip to this area.

My family loved our stay at Destin West. We had stayed there 11 years ago and the property has been very well maintained. The pools were all my kids could talk about. The unit we stayed in, Pelican PH-03 was very clean and had everything we needed for a great vacation. We really enjoyed the balcony and roof patio. We would definitely recommend this rental.

Great property
This location on the bay side of the resort was amazing and provided beautiful views of the pool and bay and our rooftop deck also made it possible to view the ocean and sunsets. It was a short walk to the boardwalk restaurants and shopping and a short drive into Destin.

The balcony door didn't lock and there was just a board there that you had to block the balcony door with. The upper deck of the penthouse was rusty and not clean and the light didn't work. Other people had been on our balcony one night and left trash there.

Check-in and check-out was super easy as they gave us a code to let ourselves in! The property is amazing with 2 hot tubs, a lazy river, and a main pool! The condo was spacious and cozy perfect for our girls trip/birthday weekend! P.S. the rooftop is amazing for a glass of wine at sunset and also has the best picture lighting at sunset!! 😉

Great views, Fun times
We stayed at the condo for 2 weeks. The views were great. Florida is a bit colder than I expected in early April (60s and low 70s) and it rained about half the time we were there (nothing related to the property). The cleanliness was okay. You can tell that there is little dusting done on wall fixtures or cleaning under the bed, but the rest of the condo was clean enough. I'll list the pros and cons of my stay:
Pros:
- condo was big enough to sleep 8 people
- the pools were heated (sometimes)
- condo has access to the beach
- grill on the roof was good to have
- Beach toys, umbrella and cart included
- pools were nice
- restaurant and stores walking distance
- condo is well stocked with appliances and kitchen items
- maintenance team was great
- easy check in/check out process
Cons:
- condo walls are paper-thin (you'll hear a pin drop in every room when the sound is produced in the kitchen or living room).
- volleyball tournament drew unruly crowd of idiots that completely packed hot tubs and were extremely loud all day and night
- local property management literally told me that they could not control volleyball tournament renters
- walking to the beach requires the use of 2 elevators through 3 buildings and a decent walk.
- loud planes due to military base being nearby
- insanely loud lazy river pump just overpowered the night time and reduced enjoyability of balcony
Overall, a decent experience. Renter's team was very responsive and I feel like they did their jobs well.

Fun Get Away
We are Floridans, we decided to take advantage of a StayCation. We booked a week prior to our stay and we couldn’t be happier. The beach area was nice and was a quick drive to Seaside and Seagrove. Only negative was cleanliness of the lazy river just appear hazy. However that may be due to the beach goers jumping in..But that was a minor inconvenience as we were there for the beaches. David was responsive and helpful. Thank you we had a great time...Ramon

Fantastic location
We loved our stay at pelican PH-03. The location was perfectly situated between the ocean and the bay. The traffic is not nearly as congested as downtown Destin. We enjoyed the fireworks from the top balcony. The lazy river was a huge bonus for our little ones as well as the variety of pools in the complex. The only drawback was the small amount of beach space the resort offers. There was just a small stretch of beach for us to share with another resort and that little amount was packed with people. Overall we had a wonderful time and would stay again. The owner was very responsive to any questions that we had.

Awesome Penthouse Overlooking Lazy River/Pool and
We truly enjoyed everything about our weeklong stay in Pelican PH-03. Miss it still! The master bedroom has a beautiful view of the bay, blackout curtains for great sleep, and most comfortable king mattress. Very large master bath with huge fluffy towels and a super strong shower my husband loved. Fully stocked kitchen with anything you need, including a Ninja blender which made great Icees for the kids, margs for the adults. The pool areas were wonderful - very clean, very family friendly. We floated in the lazy river daily. Walk across to the beach was simple, the condo had lots of toys for the kids, boogie boards, floats, etc. We didnt use the grill but there was one on the upper deck where you could see everything. Close to restaurants and go carts, arcade next door. Just across bridge from Destin. Grocery store just minutes away. The bunk room for the kids has a trundle so all three kids had their own space to sleep. Large guest bedroom and attached bathroom worked great for two families. We highly recommend this property! Can't wait to go back!

Amazing condo and experience w coastal vibe
We absolutely loved this condo, the view was amazing from the balcony and even better with a 360 degree view from the roof top. We could see the fireworks display in both Destin and fort Walton from up there. The condo has very comfortable furniture and beds we slept great. There was plenty of room and the kitchen was stocked with anything you could possibly need. The experience with coastal vibe vacations is simple and if you need anything they are a phone call away. This is our second year booking with them and we are now planning our third trip.

We absolutely loved this condo, very clean and stocked well with anything you could possibly need on your beach vacation! We did have a beach cart that was a bit older and didn’t move across the sand very well with the rusted tires. But with a simple phone call we had a brand new cart within hours! We had a group of all ages and everyone was extremely happy! The lazy river and pool were a huge hit for all and the teenagers took over the rooftop as their hang out!

We enjoyed the wonderful pool, hot tubs and lazy river. The fitness center and beach access was a huge plus. I can truly say it was one of the most relaxing vacations I ever had. We can't wait to go back and enjoy this great condo!!
