About this house rental
Four levels of living space await you at Exceeding Expectations near State Park and WISP Ski Resort! This mountainside home has many amenities. Relax in one of 6 private master suites. Swim in your private indoor swimming pool (indoor walkway to the pool), surrounded with many windows to enjoy the beautiful scenery, or soak in the outdoor hot tub. There is plenty of space to spread out! The game room includes foosball, a pool table and a wet bar. Have some delicious S'mores by our fire-pit in the evening! Flat screens throughout the house and in every bedroom. Computer room has a Queen sleeper sofa (with new pillow top mattress) with private bathroom entrance. Located in the Pinnacle community, this rental home has access to community tennis courts and a basketball hoop and lake access. It is very close to Deep Creek State Park and within 10-15 minutes to the ski slopes and golf course of Wisp, this chalet is great for large groups in need of a vacation. We can offer almost complete refunds...If you need to cancel, we do our best to rebook at the same price - we then refund your money minus the administrative fee charged by Railey and price difference if new reservation was lower. we enjoyed the home immensely and took advantage of its close proximity to all activities that deep creek has to offer as well as all the amenities the house has to offer. hope to stay here again some day.

Our family of 19 had an amazing Thanksgiving holiday at this home. Can’t say more about the host and the attentiveness to our needs while booking and during our stay!! 11 children had an absolute blast swimming !! Highly recommend!!

We get together every year for a week. Family members from around the country. This place was perfect we could all have meals at the table together. The kitchen was big enough for 3-4 of to put the meals together. The kids had room to play through out the house. The Poll be covered and inside ment if we had a rainy day it became a pool day.

Great FAMILY house, location and pool! Huge kitchen with dual appliances, large central area and each bedroom has a separate bath. Highly recommend.

I was very pleased with this home. Any questions I had before or during our stay were answered promptly. The house was clean and stocked with the items that they had promised. There was a bathroom for every bedroom so our families didnt have to share. The indoor pool worked out great due to the rain we had during our stay. It was a beautiful neighbor hood with lots of wildlife to observe. Although the neighbors may appear to be close, all of the trees and foliage made it feel very private. Plenty to do for all age ranges. Lots of amazing restaurants. I would love to plan a trip again for next year!

Our family does an annual vacation including grandparents, kids, cousins and friends. Finding that “just right” location for a large group isn’t always easy. Well…we found it here! From the at-home feel of the great room to the cozy comfort of the bedrooms this home (more than just a house) gave us a place to relax, refresh and create summer memories.
Some things we just loved: the indoor pool, the supersized dining room table, the natural light through the windows, and I can’t forget the lighted steps!
Laurie was an amazing host! She was so attentive, helpful and caring. We had one issue and she was understanding and caring and attentive.
Deep Creek 2023 Family Vacation was a huge success!

This is our second time staying at Exceeding Expectations. The house is excellent for large groups. The kids enjoyed the lower floors with lots of games and activities. The pool and hot tub were wonderful for fun after skiing. The kitchen and living areas are large and can fit lots of people comfortably. And the owner went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful time for the 19 of us. There were plenty of things for the children to do in the home.; they loved the pool. We all appreciated the bon fire outside while the weather permitted; plenty of wood. Day trips to the nearby State Park provided hiking and just enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

Had a wonderful time visiting deep creek. The home was wonderful for all our families. We enjoyed hiking near by, fires at night, and the kids and adults took advantage of the pool and hotube. Would definitely stay at this house again!

Loved the property. It provided ample room for all couples on the R&R outing. Great kitchen full of amenities. The game area, jacuzzi and pool provided lots of entertainment.

This was a great way to spend a week. Some in our group ventured out but half of us never left! Private, comfortable pool, tons of space on the decks… we usually watch a bunch of TV but we never turned one on here. Laurie did great with our requests, quite a mind for customer service. Though I never liked interacting with the Riley, I will say that when a smoke detector 25’ up a ceiling started chirping at midnight one night, there was someone there pretty quick with a big ladder to solve the problem. I would be happy to return, but may try check out Laurie’s other property instead!

We love this property, it’s location, the owner, and the service from Railey’s. The house’s amenities were fantastic. Our family enjoyed our week in Deep Creek largely due to the home base that Exceeding Expectations provided. We are coming back to this home.

The area is beautiful with lots to do. and we were fortunate to have lovely weather. Our only complaint would be the pool. Since it was totally enclosed by glass with a loud dehumidifier running constantly, we found it to be very hot and noisy inside. In the winter, I'm sure it's better, but not in the summer. Being enclosed it also had a strong smell of chlorine. We prefer an outdoor pool. That said, everything else was very accommodating for our family and well supplied.

I rented this house for my sister’s bachelorette weekend. We had 20 girls and there was more than enough room! We never felt cramped or on top of each other. The beds were super comfy and linens and towels were provided which was very nice. We were all amazed by how big and and gorgeous the house was. The hot tub was a big hit along with the HEATED INDOOR POOL!!!
Laurie was amazing to work with. Throughout the whole booking process she was very responsive in answering all my questions. Even during our stay, she texted and emailed to see how everything was going and if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend Exceeding Expectations to everyone!

I stayed at exceeding expectations for a long weekend in September 2019. The owner of the home, Laurie was helpful from start to finish! She was quick and efficient with every step of the process, and I couldn’t ask for better service from the host! The house alone, was AMAZING. Slept my entire party of 20 people very comfortably, and with the size of the house, no one was ever too crammed! Four levels of amazing house, the heated indoor pool, fire pit and jacuzzi were just some of the highlights. Less than a minute drive to the lake and dock, and even in daylight you could see the lake through the trees in the backyard! I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay in deep creek with a large party, it was well worth it! Thank you again laurie!

The property was perfect for our family! So much privacy with each room being a suite plus plenty to do for everyone, the pool, hot tub, and games. Two refrigerators, double oven, and two dishwashers We had a great time and Laurie is so responsive. Loved it!

One word - Amazing! Let me first start by telling you about the owner and management company - the BEST you'll ever work with. We had a trip planned with 5 families that got canceled due to weather. We reached out to Laurie and she couldn't have been more sympathetic and understanding with our situation. She got in contact with the management company and kept us informed all along the way in order to make sure we got a reservation and were taken care of! Absolutely the best experience I have had before our vacation even started!
Now the Property - WOW! Everything was great! The house was immaculate and was perfect for our group. Each room had its own private bathroom which made it great that no one had to share! The kitchen and dining area were huge and worked perfectly for our group. The indoor pool was OUTSTANDING! We had 10 kids running around, playing, swimming, and just having the time of their lives! It made it perfect for days when it was raining outside or when they just wanted to get up and go swimming. The amenities were an added bonus as well - included with the stay was a pass to the local rec. center where they kids enjoyed swimming and part of our group was able to get their fitness done in the gym. Our entire group wished we could have stayed longer because this was a fabulous experience and a wonderful vacation!"

We had a wonderful stay at Exceeding Expectations! It was super kid & adult friendly. The property was clean & someone came everyday to check the pool. The pool was a big hit with all the kids & Deep Creek lake was only about a minute trip from the house. There was a dock for boat rentals down the street (within walking distance). There was enough room to fit about 20 of us comfortably. We would recommend Exceeding Expectations & hope to be back again!

Also, upon checkout we asked for one extra hour- till 11am. Even though there was no one scheduled to come in that day, the young girl who answered the phone somewhat rudely told me that we would have to pay for a whole day to get the extra hour. This lack of extraordinary service will prevent us from coming back.

Didn't exactly look like the picture but all the amentitIt's were there and even though it rained our entire weekend we were able to enjoy the house! Would recommend this location, especially to large groups or anyone with younger children.

This house was great! Our whole group (5 families) loved it! The pool and hot tube were huge hits, and it was such a good location to enjoy all the activities that deep creek has to offer (especially the mountain roller coaster at Wisp!) The owner and management company were also lovely to work with. Don't hesitate to book this one : )

My group had a great time at Laurie's property, there was plenty of room for all of us and many activities to take part in both in the house and in the area. It was a close distance to the lake as well as shops and restaurants. The process was super easy, would definitely rent here again!

There was something to do for everyone. The house is spacious and you never felt that you were on top of anyone. Laurie, the owner was so wonderful to work with, I emailed her several times and she got right back to me and even took the time to call me and help me decide if this house would work for my son who is disabled. The main floor worked really well for him and he had a great time being with all his family. I would highly recommend this home and working with Laurie was a treat.

Exceeding Expectations was absolutely incredible. If you're looking for the perfect home to relax in, cook with family or friends, and spend time near the lake, then look no further.
I worked with Laurie to book Exceeding Expectations for my fiancé's birthday. I surprised him by having old friends from across the country show up there. Laurie was so pleasant to work with and very accommodating.
When we arrived at the house, my fiancé was in awe and so was I. The pictures do not do it justice. Every detail of the house is flawless. The pool is set up to be family friendly with a child safe system. The decks offer gorgeous views. The pool table, hot tub, and TV's offered hours of entertainment. My favorite part was the gorgeous fully equipped kitchen. We felt like we didn't even need to leave the house. We cooked huge meals for the group there and we grilled ribs and steaks on the gorgeous top floor deck. The bedrooms offer a lot of privacy, with two on each of the top three floors.
I cannot recommend this house enough. All of our guests couldn't stop raving about it. We didn't want to leave!

Not only does the house meet every "expectation" for large groups (such as large kitchen and eating dinning area, large bedrooms, large game and TV recreational area, large decks on all floors,etc) but the property owner Laurie redefines the meaning of accommodating. Even while she was out of the country with limited technology she answered my questions about the upcoming trip within a few hours. She was more than willing to work with our strange date request, and even took the time to send an email listing all of the recreational activity at DCL. Having worked with many other property owners (most of which are not helpful and do not care enough to answer questions) Laurie went out of her to answer any and all questions to insure a smooth trip. I cannot say enough positive things about this property or its owners. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
