Your Favorite Old Seagrove Beach House Just Got a Facelift!!
About our beach house:
We named it "Russtic Beach" because it was owned by my grandmother, Lucy Russ, and it's a casual "Old Seagrove" style beach house surrounded by scrub oak trees and palmetto bushes. Newly updated, the house is bright and spacious, with a large open concept kitchen, dining and living area. The main bedroom features 2 queen beds, a walk-in closet and an attached bathroom. The second bedroom features one queen bed, a large closet and a TV. Guests of this room access a separate full hall bathroom. The entire living space is on the 2nd floor - enjoy the evening breeze on the balcony!
While this is a single family home, there is a guest quarters located on the lower level on the back of the carport. There is, at times, a long term tenant in that unit. He doubles as a grounds keeper, as we are not in town. If this would bother you, please inquire as to the status prior to renting.
The house, situated on a quiet street, is for those seeking a restful and private retreat.* Likewise, the beach is never overly crowded (Spring Break and July 4th are exceptions obviously!)
For those who seek the hustle and bustle, never fear! The fun shops, restaurants and bars of Seaside, Watercolor, Grayton, Alys, Rosemary and The Hub are all within 5 miles. Seaside and Watercolor are easily reachable on foot or by bike.
Amenities...
The kitchen includes an oven/range, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, drip coffee pot and Keurig. The laundry room contains a full size washer and dryer. The HVAC is new and works great! The TVs are smart TVs - we do not have cable. The internet is fabulous - you can definitely work from home here.
One of our favorite things is the very private outdoor shower - perfectly refreshing after a long day at the beach! And, useful for getting the small ones bathed quickly after a day in the sand and water. The house is ideal for families...stocked with bath towels, beach towels, beach toys, indoor children's toys and games. There is also a book share...feel free to take a book and leave a book for future guests to enjoy. There are 3-5 adult bikes available depending on repairs. There are beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys and a wagon for taking items down to the beach.**

There is space available for 2 cars. This is not always covered.
*Please note that we do not control construction in the area. While the beach house remains very quiet and restful, we cannot offer refunds if there happens to be a home being built nearby.
**Please note that the rental rate is for the home and attached items. The above described unattached amenities are provided as a courtesy. They are only as good as you treat them for the next guest!! So, please make sure all items make it back to the house from the beach each day. They are replaced annually each May, but no more often than that. Likewise, we do not guarantee that the bicycle tires always have air. There is a pump available for your use.

Highly recommend this adorable home to anyone looking for a very private place to stay in Seagrove. Spacious two bedrooms had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Quick walk to the beach and even saw some deer walk by the place twice! Lovely kitchen with plenty of space. One shower had the best water pressure!

This was an absolutely fantastic location and home for the price. IT was clean, very well stocked with kitchen utilities, bikes, beach chairs etc., games of rainy days, and was literally a 2 min stroll from a beautiful beach. Despite being spring break it was not overcrowded or overrun with college-age boozehounds. A great place for a family to stay.

I love the location and everything was clean and ready. I wish the kitchen was a little more updated and supplied with baking sheets and better cooking pans. In a perfect world the single bedroom would have another TV. Besides that, good beach house feel and conveniently located to shops and restaurants.

I recently stayed at this VRBO property with my wife and my sister and her husband for my birthday, and it was a fantastic experience. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the beach access point. The house was impeccably clean and matched the pictures in the listing, which was a relief.
One of the highlights for us was the availability of bikes in great condition that we could use. Exploring the area on two wheels added a lot of fun to our trip. Additionally, they offered a golf cart for rent, which was convenient for exploring a bit farther if needed.
In terms of dining options, there were plenty of restaurants within biking distance and even reachable by the golf cart. Overall, it was a memorable birthday getaway, and I would highly recommend this VRBO property for anyone looking for a beachside vacation with easy access to activities and dining.

My sister and I stayed during our annual work from beach weekend. We really enjoyed how spacious the place was and how we could spread out during calls. The distance from the beach is not even 5 minutes. The whole space was very well equipped and we will definitely add it to our list of favorite places to stay in 30A.

Just spent a week staying here and LOVED it. We typically stay in Destin, this was our first time on 30A and will def be back! The beach is steps away, the kitchen has what you need and the beds are comfy. The wagon was great to bring stuff to the beach. It was great having chairs and umbrellas available. The chairs are close to sitting on the ground with no arm rests so if you have older folk in your group they may need a different chair. We loved riding the bikes to Seaside for dinner too!

I traveled with my husband and parents and this house was just perfect. So close to the beach, restaurants, grocery store and bike path. We each had our own room and bathroom, which was great. Bathroom and kitchen are a bit dated, but very clean, everything works and kitchen really has everything you need. We loved not having to bring our own beach towels, chairs and umbrella. Lucy was easy to reach and instructions to get in were clear. Do not hesitate to book!

Beach house was in an amazing location, a mile to Seaside and just a few houses away from the beach access. Love staying in Seagrove because it’s a little quieter than being in the midst of Seaside during Spring Break. The house had everything we needed and was well equipped. Hall bath was teeny so I used the outdoor shower that was roomy, had hot and cold water and was perfect. House is older but clean, charming, and a great value. Owner was super fast in responding to any questions we had. Would totally stay there again!

Lucy was very communicative during our stay. The home has nice extras such as beach towels, books, toys for kids, a high chair. Very close to the beach and Seaside. It rained one of the days and she provided a suggestion for an alternative activity. Helpful host! My family and I would love to return.

Our fist trip of many! My sister in law and her son joined me and my son on a quick trip to the beach. The bungalow was perfect for us and the kids enjoyed it so much. We were super close to our beach access and despite the one lane traffic construction, the street was super quiet and calm. Cozy and quaint! Can’t wait to go back.

Absolutely live this house and the hosts. Always friendly and available for anything. The house is cute and comfy. This is our second year staying here and it keeps getting better. It has everything you need and it always feels like home. My kids are asked what they wanna do each year and they again said this year that they wanna come back to this house because it feels like home . Thank you Lucy and family for making this house available to make our home for a week.

My daughter and I stayed here for a couple of days. We had a wonderful time. The house is clean and comfortable. There are extras like bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, etc. It was a short walk to the beach, very accessible. The area is very nice. I would definitely stay here again.
