Home away with no reservations

I was surprised my request for early access (to bag drop) was responded to - immediately. On arrival I felt welcome and immediately comfortable. The suite I was shown to; spacious, modern, uncluttered. Later I learned there is another cottage that is equivalent (I am staying in it on my 2nd trip and it is equally well catered for). Despite being in a residential area there are excellent nearby restaurants that catered well for me as a solo traveller. Access to the city centre is simple and direct. For anyone with security concerns the surrounding area has active (security) patrols and their efficiency is evident in the number of solo joggers and walkers I have seen in the early morning runs I took around Zoo Lake.

I can say with confidence this is where I'll be asking for accommodation on future trips to Joburg. Having stayed in other similar accommodation; hotels and lodges, on a value scale there is no comparison. In terms of comfort and generally feeling welcome I am delighted to have discovered Forest Haven. It is what I have sought for my business travels.

Wonderful, especially as my husband was in hospital, so one really needs a comfortable place to stay

Everything. The accommodation is extremely comfortable with everything one needs. Modern and exceptionally clean. Ingrid, the host is continually upgrading equipment, etc. For example, with all the loadshedding she purchased a gas plate and stove top kettle for the unit. Ingrid is friendly, helpful and interested in her guests. One feels like family, rather than a guest.

a safe and beautiful property to bring your family to for a stay.

this place is amazing, the property is situated in one of the best parts of Johannesburg and everything about it is just perfect. the location, the hospitality, and the best part! the pets of Mr. Fish! he co operated with us and was there to assist us at anytime of the day. our stay at Forest haven was satisfying .

Forest haven look exactly as it is on pictures...affordable and value for money

The location was easy to find The place was Quite,Clean and nice The host were very friendly and helpful...she even helped us when we had to add more extra Days. Wifi is on Excellent Condition. The staff were friendly and helpful Ingrid is the best host she make sure that she meet guests satisfaction..I can recommend Forest haven to every tourist...it is near to lots of exciting places e.g Johannesburg Zoo.Thank you for hosting us Forest Haven till we meet again🙂

A real gem, hidden in the urban jungle. So glad I found this place on bookings.com. The pictures don't do justice to the rooms. Wish I could have stayed longer. Place was immaculate and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. If ever I'm in Jhb again, this will be my preferred accommodation

Peace of mind

Ingrid was exceptional, she went out of her way to provide us with a baby's cot since we were traveling with a 1 year old & she also provided my daughter with toys.... Above all Ingrid made sure that we were comfortable & she's friendly

Ingrid, our host, was amazing. She was very personable and gracious. She made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The place was secure and had a warm homely feel. We had lots of privacy and there were even occasional visits from the pets which made us feel very loved.
