About this cabin rental

Thanks for taking a look at My Vacation Property Rental (MVP Rental). A bit about myself before the home. I've owned and been renting properties in the Pocono's Towamensing Trails community since 2011. Over that time and across my various properties, I've handled thousands of reservations and have developed the knowledge to deliver a great experience that is super easy and smooth. So enough about me, let's talk about this wonderful entertainment space.

This was my third property, purchased almost 10 years ago. I’ve spent several Christmases at this home. With it's warm and cozy feel, it's just a great classic Pocono cabin. If you are a pet lover, this is the place to be. I cannot tell you how many people have commented on the convenience of being able to let their dogs off leash during their stay. I’ve had guests return specifically for the fenced in yard, and because of this, I have added fencing to my other properties. The second-floor deck, off the master, is a great spot to watch your dog as well as the stars, or to enjoy a cup of coffee. Many deer visit the yard, as do the occasional flock of turkey.

The home is warmly decorated, keeping families in mind. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware. The home has air conditioning, a gas fireplace, high speed Wi-Fi, outdoor seating area with grill, and second floor den with TV. All homes are smoke-free, and pet friendly provided appropriate pet fee has been paid.

All homes are located within the popular resort community of Towamensing Trails with many seasonal amenities, which use is included in your rental fee.

The deck and the fenced in yard were our favorite things. Hanging out outside while the pups tired themselves out in the yard was worth the 3 hour drive alone.

Brought our two dogs up for a long weekend and some outdoors time. This rental was exactly as described and perfect for the pups to run to their heart's content. Easy acces to Jim Thorpe was a plus. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Property as advertised, in a community, many deer in yards in neighborhood. Not far from Poconos attractions like Hickory Run State Park. Recommend for dog owners, great to be able to let out in large fenced in yard and not worry about it. Owner communicated and was responsive.

We met family from Delaware and spent Easter together. The cabin had plenty of sleeping areas for everyone. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had a Keurig and coffee maker, dishwasher and large refrigerator. Living area was cozy yet seating for everyone. The wrap around deck was lovely. We could envision its use during the summer months. The large fenced yard was a hit for our dog. It was so nice to play with her in the yard. Each morning and evening the deer would stroll through. We hiked nearby during the day. It was nice to come back to our restful retreat and enjoy a glass of wine.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was rustic and cozy, and the large fenced in yard was wonderful for the pups. The host was great to work with. I will definitely choose this cabin again if I’m looking for a place in the area.

Hands down the best VRBO vacation spot in the Poconos …The cabin was beautiful and all the extra amenities made this a wonderful weekend getaway! The fenced in backyard was great for our dog ! So much space for our family and the ambiance was amazing. We enjoyed all the personal touches that made it feel like home. We will definitely without a doubt book all future winter getaways at this home. Host was super attentive and even checked in after our arrival to make sure we didn’t need anything.

Wonderful cozy cabin! This was a great place to stay! The fenced back yard was PERFECT for the dogs. The property owner was very responsive and helpful! Lots of room and the kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans and utensils so home cooking was made easy! Will definitely stay again!

Cabin was cozy for a winter get-a-way weekend. Gas fireplace came in handy on a cold, rainy evening. Host has thought of everything that you might need during your stay. We rented primarily because it was a pet-friendly rental with a fenced-in backyard. Even the deck had gates that could be closed to keep our dog contained.

The house was great. Super clean and great location. The yard was huge and our pups loved it. They had lots of room to run and lots of branches to play with. The fireplace was great in the house and overall is was an amazing stay for my wife and I and our two pups. Had a blast, will stay again!

We had a wonderful long weekend at this cabin! The morning view with our family of deer was a highlight along with the gorgeous mountain lake beach. Some of my family played tennis and we all went whitewater rafting and hiking. The home was a rustic mountain cabin that truly felt like home. The host was prompt and responsive and gracious. We'll be back :)

Property was very nice, fenced in backyard was fantastic for those with pets, like us. Lots of rules at Towaminsing Trails, be sure to read and understand ahead of time. Only disappointment was that no use of propane fireplace in living room from may to Sept, even though there was a frost warning one evening. Maybe some upgrades in near future. Overall great place.

We enjoyed our stay at this location. The fenced in yard was important since we like to travel with our pets. The only downside is this community doesn't allow campfires. Other vrbo's we have stayed at allow fires, but they weren't part of a development. When you go to the mountains from the city, it typically is something you want to do. There was also a no noise ordinance after 10. It could result in fines/dismissal from property. This wasn't a problem for us, but when I have traveled with my cousins in the past, we would stay up until 12/1 around the campfire. I realize these are the developments rules, and not the owners. I would still stay here again ,pending who I traveled with. The owners replied back to a couple of questions in a timely manner. Overall a good trip.

This place allowed us to slow down and Joy the mountains. Our pup absolutely loved the huge fenced in yard. Will was awesome. We got about 6 inches of snow overnight and he came in the morning to remove the snow from the driveway. The fireplace was perfect for relaxing. We are already wondering when we can come back.

Everything was smooth with check in process and owner very responsive. Nice community and location. Some pictures of home/furniture were outdated and we felt the property could have been cleaner and more updated. Carpets were pretty dirty. Yard was a bit of a mess, but glad for a fenced in yard for our dog. Water pressure in showers were poor and appliances were slow working, toaster not great burned everything. No hand towels or dish towels, I had to run and buy some for our visit. Overall, it was a nice rental, just could use some updates and TLC.

Very easy to rent and get settled. The dogs loved the yard. We loved the deck. It got chilly and rainy the last few days so we didn't get outside as much as we wanted. Have to come back in summer.

First impression was how clean the property was when we arrived. The fenced in back yard was very big and perfect for our dogs. We loved the proximity to Hickory Run State Park and Jim Thorpe. The living room was comfy for family game nights and the deck was nice for relaxing outside. My only complaint was the lack of an air conditioning unit in the 2nd floor large bedroom, as the unit at the other end of the house was not sufficient for cooling both rooms. But I thought it was a great value for families with pets.

We had a nice time here. Place was clean. TV worked after calling host, who sent someone to fix it. TV channels are limited but work via Roku. Netflix was free but had to use your own id's to logon to Prime, Hulu, etc. As for the house, nice bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, kitchen. Fenced yard was great but some big rocks to watch out for. We loved sitting on back deck watching the dogs play. Know that there are no fans in bedrooms. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay and I would come back again.

This property is a great value! It provided comfortable accommodations for my husband and me for the week we stayed. Even when the 3 adult kids and 3 grandkids arrived and stayed with us over the weekend, (aged 4, 5 & 6), there was plenty of room for all of us. The cabin was cozy, warm, inviting and provided all the comfort of home. There was a big, fenced back yard. The kids were able to play safely in the abundance of snow one would expect from a cabin in the Pocono mtns. The charcoal grill on the deck was perfect for hot dogs, hamburgers and we even roasted smores. All in all, I highly recommend this VRBO rental. The owner was very responsive to all of my questions throughout our stay as well.
