About this house rental

This property is great you can just park up your car, and walk the short distance to the central city shopping area, supermarket, library, museum, art gallery
The Waimaire Riverboat and the I-site centre are both just down the road and of course there is the Saturday morning markets, which have an assortment of local produce and craft.
If you are into a bit of fitness just cross the road and enjoy the walk along the riverbank and do the bridge to bridge circuit.
You are also so central with only a approximate 2 hour drive away from The Tongariro National Park or follow the coastal highway to New Plymouth

Special conditions:
Not a problem having children staying as long as well supervised, even though the property is fenced, it is not childproof at the front.

Also there are stairs to bedroom where single beds are situated.

There is garaging available for one car if needed, otherwise there is parking outside and also along from property if more than a couple of cars.

Extras: Linen (included); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave;

This quaint riverside home was clean, comfortable and inviting and within easy walking distance to everything we needed. The host provided clear and prompt instructions for easy check-in and check-out. The home has a garage and washing machine but no dryer. We will surely book this property again if we are fortunate enough to return to Whanganui!

Very clean and tidy. Disappointed with the TV - very old and could do with updating for not a lot of cost. Unable to get any apps e.g. TVNZ plus. Surprised there was no vent in the bathroom so lots of moisture produced and black mould evident -suggest putting in an extractor fan to avoid damage to the property. Otherwise very comfortable stay thank you.

This was our second time staying long-term at this property. It is convenient to town and grocery stores as well as many attractions like the River City Market a short walk away. The hosts are very responsive to any and all messages and requests. We would highly recommend this property for a stay in Whanganui of any length.

This cosy townhouse was perfect for myself and elderly mother. The beds were cosy. Basic provisions available. Convenient to link with main roads. The only problem was locating the actual street.

The house was warm, clean and tidy with everything you would expect on hand. The location is great - view of the river but the best part is that it is within easy walking distance to the city centre. Whanganui is really interesting place to visit. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the comfort of this house.

One can walk to all the sightseeing's, markets on Saturday 9min walk along the river. Has all the facilities one needs. A bit cold in winter upstairs, as there is no heater or hot water bottle. We loved it. Thank you Wendy

Great location, tidy, neat and warm property, bit sparse on kitchen items (e.g. good knives, good oil and proper S&P). Wasn't aware that the property was semi-attached, which was fine, but generally felt the need to be a bit quieter. Owners were great to deal with and really enjoyed not needing to take own linen and towels. Thank you!

The river view from the house is gorgeous and a lot of interesting places to visit are just along the road. Warm, comfortable. No smart TV so bring your tablets if you need Netflix/Neon. Books are good!

My spouse and I had a three month long stay at this location and it was perfect for our stay. The host was very responsive to the few issues we had on arrival, and she remained responsive to all my requests/questions throughout our stay. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is adequately supplied, and the heat pump worked well on the few days we needed it. The location is great. The dining room faces the river and we had a lovely view while eating. The sun comes in the room in the morning which is very nice when enjoying your morning tea/coffee. It’s a 10 minute walk into town for groceries, shopping or visiting the Saturday market. The house suited our needs so we’ll we’ve rebooked for next year.

We stayed there for the second time and as we have come to expect it was a great experience. The property is well presented and has everything you need for a pleasant holiday. The location is great with everything within walking distance. I would highly recommend this place.
