Beautiful two-story 2nd row home is just steps from the sand and sea. Spanish Grant Subdivision is a short drive to the Seawall, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, Strand, Pleasure Pier, and many other Galveston favorites including restaurants.
Decorated in festive colors and cheerful, beachy furnishings, Tan Camp is a fantastic summer vacation home for up to ten people. Enjoy expansive ocean views while kicking back on the balcony overlooking the cool blue waters of the Gulf.
This home comes fully equipped with a gourmet kitchen complete with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Gather for a big meal at the dining table. Or take a break from the sand and sun on the lower patio and eat a picnic-style lunch while enjoying the view and the sound of the waves.
Settle in for a night of board games or watch a movie in the comfortable family room. Stunning views from all of the main rooms! The master bedroom features a king-size bed and French doors leading out onto the upper balcony—enjoy your own private view. Or take a nice long soak in the oversized tub, which boasts views of the beach and the waters of the Gulf. Two additional bedrooms have queen-sized beds and the fourth bedroom, with two bunk beds, is great for kids!

This was our second summer to stay at Tan Camp. Like the first time, we had a great time. Great location, plenty of space for our 6 adults and two kids, and house stocked with everything that we needed.

This was a great property. It was clean and great for a big family. Plenty of kitchen equipment and pots and pans for cooking! Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms! Also, very close to beach. The outdoor space was also great for hanging out and enjoying the beach view.

We loved our time here! The home was tastefully decorated and had all the nice touches of home. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The stairs were steep and not carpeted. That was the only thing I didn’t like because we have young kids who aren’t used to stairs. The gate at the top of the stairs outside was helpful. A baby gate at the top of the second floor stairs would be an excellent addition.

Beach home had everything we needed.
Brought our adult kids and two grandkids and we all had a great time. Loved the deck gate at the top of the stairs on lower porch and kids tables inside and out with a few toys in the bunk room for 16 month old and 4 year. Very thoughtful.

We did a last minute booking and the management company was very helpful. The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. Very family friendly. The layout and decor is homey and comfortable. Beautiful, clean house with great views and just steps from the pedestrian only beach. The location is excellent, just a few miles from the seawall. Neighborhood is very nice with well maintained homes. The A/C on this large 2 story home worked great, something we have had problems with in other beach homes. Highly recommend this rental, best we’ve ever had and we have rented a lot of them over the years! This will be the place we will try to book every time from now on.

This house was so wonderful! 1 minute walk to the beach was nice especially with our 1 and 4 year old. We found the water hose and outside bathroom with a shower extremely helpful. The house was stocked with everything we needed for cooking meals, beach toys, chairs, and more. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved the views of the beach from both decks. Plenty of patio furniture to enjoy the view. Nice quiet neighborhood. The walk to the beach is very short and the beach is not crowded at all. The house matches what you see in the pictures. The kitchen is well stocked with pans and dishes. We are very glad we chose this house. If we came back to Galveston we would stay here again.

The location is great, an easy walk to the beach. the view from the upper balcony was beautiful! The neighbor was quiet. This house is exactly as advertised. It was clean, the kitchen has more than enough pots and pans, utensils, and they are in good conditions. This was the best vacation rental we have had.

Only complaint was the older lady neighbor - to the right, she was very grumpy and rude to my teenage son and I.

The house overall was outstanding! The location was a 1 min walk to the beach. The house was very clean and well-stocked. The kitchen has literally anything you could need. There were plenty of bath towels. There was an outside shower, beach chairs, boogie boards and a grill. There was plenty of outside seating to enjoy the view while you eat.
The communication with the management company prior to our trip could not have been better. They were extremely responsive to all my questions.
The only less-than-amazing thing I can say is the water pressure in the showers is not super strong.
We had an amazing time and would absolutely rent this property again!

This beach house is one of the best our family has stayed in in Galveston. The house is very comfortable. It has great views of the Gulf and is a short walk to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped for any kind of meal you fix.
The rental company is very attentive and took care of a plumbing issue quickly.

Great location, quiet neighborhood but close to town. We stayed with our 3 grown sons, one of whom is married with young children. There was plenty of room and privacy for all of us. Loved the kitchen and master bedroom/bath the most. We like to cook and the kitchen has plenty of nice dishes, pots, pans, dishwasher, large fridge, utensils, etc. Chose this house for bathrooms - with 6 adults, wanted 3 full baths. Easy walk to beach even with small kids. Great upper deck for morning coffee with view of ocean. CLEAN and well-maintained. Coastal Waves was so helpful, always answered the phone when we were planning. No issues with rental. Would definitely rent this house again although we were previously 'hotel' people. We loved it. Would definitely go through Coastal Waves again also.

Great Location and Setup
Couldn't beat the 1 block walk directly to the beach, away from the crowds. The home is well appointed with lots of thoughtful touches. Would highly recommend for groups of 6 to 8.

We had a fun trip in this beautiful home. We had a lot of people & (5) kids and this home was perfect for everyone. Very spacious….and beautiful views on the two decks you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee or have some alone time. The upper deck view of the ocean was amazing!! The house had everything that we needed and more! I appreciated all of the communication from Coastal Waves! They kept in touch along the way and I always knew what was next! Fantastic house
Everything about this house is good. We had 3 families with 4 children. The house was stocked with everything you could need. Close to the beach, great deck and open living space inside. It also had toys the kids could play with. I highly recommend this house

Fantastic place
This was a wonderful place to stay. Plenty of room and on the second row of houses from the beach. The deck right off of the master bedroom was perfect because it was higher than the front row of houses which gave a great view.
The ONLY issue that we had was that the cable system didn’t have any of the ESPN channels, which was bad given that we visited during bowl season. However, we purchased a Roku stick to be able to watch. I recommend this place very highly.

The house was quite nice and comfortable. Located on second row of houses from the beach. Very short walk (about 50 yards) to the beach. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything needed to cook. We are a family of 6 adults and a 2 year old and there was plenty of room for all of us. Will most definitely stay here again.

Well equipped kitchen which is a must for a large family. Close to the sea wall! Easy check in. At first was told that I had to check in at an office at a certain time but then thankfully changed to us going straight to the property with contactless check in which is more convenient since we had a long drive. Great communication by email with professional company. Easy check out also! With a reminder text message! Air conditioning worked perfectly and home was beautifully furnished. Bathroom even had a ceiling fan! Loved loved this property! Refund released right away! Thank you so much Coastal Waves!

Fun House
We enjoyed the house very much. Spacious and well laid out. It had everything we needed, including several items (boogie boards, sand toys, games, etc) that we weren’t expecting. We did have an issue with WiFi and couldn’t find the password anywhere. We reached to the property manager by email twice and never heard back. That was frustrating consider the fees charged in addition to the nightly rate were supposedly to cover this type of request or communication. The house was clean, although my allergies did kick up a bit, and upon a closer look, there was dog hair on the couches and some of the bedspreads still. Those were put only two negative issues. Overall, we had a great stay. The proximity to the beach and the views from the decks could not have been better. No dealing with crossing the busy highway like all of the hotels and condos in town. It’s not a luxury home; but was what I expected for the price. We would stay here again.

Excellent Galveston rental
Perfect location with great views of the gulf. Super short walk to the beach area, and a short drive into town for shopping and food and fun. Gray master with a comfy king and a perfect master bathroom. The walk in shower is awesome!! The deck off the master is great for relaxing and stress relieving! Tan Camp should be renamed Ten Camp, for perfect 10!

Breaking Quaratine!
The Tan Camp was amazing. The property managers were quick to pick up the phone and help. There was a leak in the kitchen and as soon as I got off the phone with management, there was a knock on the door! They sent the plumbers quickly and problem was resolved within 15 minutes. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were great, and the view was amazing! Thank you for your hospitality. We had a great time.
