For the price we paid I would have expected a better experience. There isn't much competition, and

Good position overlooking sea

Dinner menu limited and poor. Fish was good but vegetables not good at all. Generally unhealthy choices - even seasonal vegetables were 'battered-! And service at breakfast very poor. Decor in public rooms was not what the price for night's accommodation would suggest - very 'down market- poor value for money

Gorgeous place to stay in Seahouses

Great location but receptionists need to cheer up

Great location and right across the road from the Ship Inn which is a fantastic pub

I’ve stayed here twice and the first encounter with the reception staff have been unwelcoming on both occasions. It’s almost as if new guests are an annoyance. Parking is a lottery

Comfy stay but overpriced and tired.

Good choice for breakfast and excellently located near harbour. Most of staff friendly and knowledgeable.

All areas of bar and hotel tired and dirty. Room ready for a refresh as lots of mould in shower and decor marked and damaged. Many hairs in bed and paper etc from previous guests on floor in room. Very noisy in rooms from bar.

A fabulous stay in a beautiful location

The room felt homely and was very clean - super comfy beds and a great shower

The room felt very warm at night so it was great you provided a fan which helped.

Wonderful stay, what a beautiful part of the world.

Beautiful location

Our room was dark and above the kitchen so smelled of fryers. No sea view but we did have a dog, so it may have been a pet friendly room. I booked early and paid A LoT for the room. I checked the day before and the booking was £200 cheaper. So when the room wasn’t amazing, I was a bit miffed!! The message is…. Don’t book early, go last minute!

Dog-friendly hotel with good food, but unreliable wifi

Fantastic location and great breakfast, and the staff at breakfast were lovely. The main attraction of the hotel for us is the location and that it is dog-friendly.

The wi-fi didn't work at all for the entire stay - we have stayed before, and it has not been reliable previously (continually logging you out), but this time all of us had the issue of the loading page not redirecting and being unable to remedy it. It wasn't the end of the world, but not great for anyone who uses medical devices and may rely on access to wifi in case of any issues. One of the rooms (in the annex) only had a window backing on to a yard where people were loudly talking during the day, which did not feel like great value for money. That room also had no service, on top of the no wi-fi.

Fantastic stay at the inn I would highly recommend it close to all amenities everyone very friendly and helpful walking

The location was perfect the inn itself was lovely and the meals very nice staff very helpful and friendly

I didn’t like my room 34 it sounded like a boiler was on all night and the room was on the ground floor so couldn’t have my window opened through the night otherwise it was a fantastic stay at the inn

The property was in a great location, very clean

The annex rooms were small with no view as advertised by booking.com instead our high window overlooked the carpark and other buildings.

Warm and welcoming

Very good value and location, excellent room with very comfortable bed. Fish and chips were fine, pannacotta was solid. Good breakfast choice, plenty of food but cooked food both good and not so good. Would definitely go again.

If you weren't eating in the pub, it took a while to get drinks. The new long bar wasn't open and could have been for those just wanting a drink.

Fabulous night at Bamburgh castle inn and the staff were super helpful and very friendly

The property has the most amazing views out to sea. It is very clean inside and rooms are a good size.

You had to go out the main building to get to some of the rooms.

Lovely 3 night stay

excellent location on the harbour. Our room had a balcony and an excellent view. The room was very comfortable, but slightly smaller than expected. The buffet breakfast was good. There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby and it was near the boarding point for Farne Island cruises.

Full of dogs

Location

Booked twin given room in the carpark. Had to pay extra £90 for two night stay to upgrade to larger room with a viee DOGS in the dining room at meal times. Some sitting on seats. Very bad did tell staff but no change. Will not go back

Lovely hotel for our birthday party stay.

The staff were efficient but not really friendly that’s just the impression I got we had 10 in our party and had the 60th party there but nothing special was done or said about it.

Stay spoilt by dogs…especially wet ones!

Food was good . Staff very helpful

Although I like dogs…feel the hotel should have distinct rooms for non dog owners or those allergic to dogs. My relations who we met there were in 1 annexe and we were in another….both had dogs in them. Don’t get me started about the fact that there were no pet only area in the restaurant…You couldn’t move around the public areas for dogs stretched out …wet dogs at that!

Sorry It was disappointing.

The location - the hotel has a lovely position overlooking the sea Directions to the hotel were fine Car parking in the town was nearby Bed was comfy The food at dinner was ok One member of staff made me a coffee after all the machines at breakfast were turned off at 9.30am

Had to wait quite a while to be seen at reception on arrival Dogs! - I like dogs but they were everywhere. Would be better if there was a restaurant for non dog owners No sea view The breakfast - Hardly anything left by the time I went down at 9 20am Hard to find cutlery, plates, spoons Breakfast staff unhelpful and grumpy

Loved the haddock chowder. The location was fab. we had a balcony which was great . Staff all friendly great sea view and harbour.

Room was very warm due to the towel rail. they said that they need to manually turn them down as on a thermostate. we tried to do this but ended up leaving the balcony door open over night.

Pleasant, stress free relaxing break.

Location, views and it was clean and tidy. The breakfast was excellent and evening meal was good pub fayre. The parking was free on site. We had a superior room with balcony, which was of high standard of cleanliness and v large.

Not keen on dogs, so a ‘strict’ dog free dining area would make it better.

Could have done with a shower screen. There was only a bath with a hand held shower attachment.

Night away

ver clean and comfortable.the disabled assessable room was the biggest we have stayed in. There was no steps or raised area in the room . Brilliant

everything was great if I had to be picky, I would say a couple more vegetarian option on the menu would be great

Lovely hotel with good food and drink

Staff very friendly and couldn't do any more to help us. Had 2 evening meals there and both we're very good and the breakfast was also very good. The hotel itself is in a very good location overlooking the sea from the restaurant and beer garden.

We didn't expect the number of dogs that were at the hotel but that didn't put us off or have really affect on our stay. All the dogs were well behaved, we're just not dog lovers.
