A great holiday in lovely accommodation, run by very nice people.

Breakfast was not included, as property was self catering. However, the accommodation was very spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated, to a very high standard. The bed was extremely comfortable - making it difficult to get up in the morning! We had our own patio and garden, which was most appreciated. We liked the large walk in shower, especially as there were grab rails to steady ourselves. Overall we had a great holiday in a lovely holiday home.

We found the seating, although very comfortable and of excellent quality, just a little low for us, and a bit hard to get up again, But that is a reflection of our age and stiffness, not of the lovely furniture!

Its an excellent location and perfect for a getaway for the family – I will be going back again

Communication before I arrived with really good, including directions and local activities. When we arrived we found the place spotless and smelt very fresh, we also enjoyed the welcome back on arrival and so did the kids. Fantastic house!

I stayed at Sunshine Corner with my husband and two little boys this week and it was a fantastic experience! The house was beautiful, very clean with everything we needed. The garden was great, perfect for eating outside in the sunshine - it literally is Sunshine Corner! The hosts were very thoughtful leaving out a bottle of wine, milk and some sweets and biscuits for our boys on arrival. Location was perfect, great base for exploring the local area. I can't recommend it enough. We're already planning a return trip! Thank you for a lovely break! Meg, Sam, Patrick and Buddy.

stunning!

We had a Warm, lovely ,relaxing and comfortable stay at sunshine Corner. Place is very clean n sophisticated with bit extras, (cake was yummy). Beach is just 2 min drive. Hosts are very helpful. Will definitely comeback again. :)

a ideal site for exploring Mersea Island and nearby Essex

Sunshine Corner is part of a bungalow located just a few minutes walk from a beach. It is 8 minutes walk to a co-op, and less than 15 minutes walk to the high street of West Mersea. There is off road parking for one car. There is a small garden with decking and an outside table.

All you could hope for in a holiday apartment

Very quiet and peaceful location close to beach. Extremely comfortable and well-equipped. Spotlesly clean with good anti-COVID measures.

Excellent location & a very comfortable home for a few days break. Hosts were particularly helpful. Our stay was in wintertime so heating is important and was very effective throughout especially the conservatory

We would recommend Sunshine Corner if you stay on Mersea Island.

Location was excellent for our visit to the area, the accommodation had everything we needed, well equipped and clean. The welcome pack was a nice touch and much appreciated. The information pack was also very good and contained everything you needed to know about equipment, the local area, restaurants, pubs etc.

Greatstay even though the weather wasn't that great thanks to the lovely home and great location.

High quality facilities and a very comfortable cottage with lots of little extras e.g. welcome pack, biscuits and bottle of wine, the host Angie was very helpful and was responding immediately.

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anybody who wanted to stay in this area.

Great location, i.e. 5 mins to beach and 5 mins to local shops. Very nice accommodation and lovely and sunny. The actual place looked more modern and much nicer than the photo's so not sure if the adverts of it were old or whether it didn't come across as good in them.

One of the beds wasn't too comfy, i.e. it was noisy whenever you moved and very close to furniture either side. However, we don't sleep too well so if you were a good sleeper this may not be a problem. The garden was very close to next door, the children's trampoline almost touching the fence so could be a little noisy at times.

It was great and I would recommend it.

We mostly used the conservatory - it was warm enough for December, in such short days it was good to get so much light. It was a great space to relax in. The space was just right, we only needed one of the two bedrooms but both were of an reasonable size. Off road parking was enough for us but I guess if you needed to park two cars it might be an issue. It was close to the beach - maybe 5 minutes and the road was quiet so it was a pleasant walk to the beach.

The shower was disappointing. It worked ok, however, I was hoping for something that would be a bit more powerful and in keeping with the rest of the bathroom. But hey it did the job.
