Fantastic 5BR ski house located in private neighborhood in prime location in the heart of the Green Mountains. Enjoy true mountain living and winter fun - 15 miles to Killington. Hiking, biking, and tubing just around the river bend. Central to Killington, Rochester, Woodstock and Rutland, short drive to Stowe and Waterbury. Close to many ski areas for all seasons. Enjoy breathtaking foliage from the expansive deck. 5 bedrooms, king size main bedroom suite on its own floor with wood burning stove, ensuite full bath and dual walk in closets. Bunk room sleeps 4 with its own bathroom. Main floor queen bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Large living room w/ stone fireplace. Kitchen with double oven.
Lower level has 2 additional bedrooms and full bathroom with laundry room. Game room/2nd Living room also located on walk out lower level with sliding doors to additional deck and expansive yard with fire pit.
Covered parking for two cars. Storage galore for ski gear!

Whispering pines is everything that is advertised. It’s cozy, very clean, and close to ski resorts. This probably the most well-stocked stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen in a rental! Even the kitchen knives are sharp! There are also so many board games to play. We loved the setup of the upstairs living room that sows everyone to gather together.

We had such a great time at this listing. It was the perfect distance away from Killington, but remote and secluded enough for us to unwind and relax in peace and quiet. The wood burning fireplace really gave it that cozy cabin feel and there was a lot of fun things to do in the house. We highly recommend this place and would stay again in a heartbeat.

This is our third time staying - that should say enough :) We love it here. The house just has a great vibe & Is full of really wonderful memories for our group. Kitchen is smaller, but our big group watched the superbowl comfortably in the living room. Bedrooms are spread out (in a nice way). It's great location - we are skiers & Killington is an easy drive. We'll be back!

Whispering Pines was the perfect place for us dads, uncles and sons to stay for the weekend. The house is spacious and the fireplace is nature's TV. It was nice to come back after a day on the mountain and unwind without the digital world being part of the night. We will be back next year! Kara was so pleasant to communicate with. Can't wait for February 25'.

From before reservation all the way through check out this has been one of my best rental experiences! Thank you Kara for being an excellent host. Communication was incredible throughout our stay and we truly enjoyed the home. So spacious for our group of 9 adults. If we come back to killington this will be our go to place! Thanks again!

We had a great stay! Semi-reunion with college friends, great location, quiet area, house was perfect for 4 couples, nestled in the trees. Plenty of room and kitchen had everything you would need. Back deck was great to relax outside amongst the trees.

We had a large group of adults and children who stayed at the house comfortably. The kids loved the bunk room, and I really appreciated the pack n’ play. It was about a 20 minute drive to Killington, which we made multiple times a day. Our only complaint was with the cleanliness - dog hair on the couch, the dishes had to be washed before use, and there were mouse droppings on some of the pots. We understand that these issues come with a rural home, but think a deep clean may be helpful before the next guest.

The property was very spacious. Parking was tough if you have more than one car in the winter but, the owner was able to provide alternative parking. When we had questions the owner was very prompt to answer. There was a great supply of firewood and the kitchen had all the gadgets you would need.

House fit our group of 10 singles comfortably. Spent a couple nights where outside temp was—20F and house held up well and kept us warm and toasty! Host was easy to reach and great communication. Would stay again!

Whispering Pines was fantastic! After reading the positive reviews we decided to go with this property and we did not regret it. The house is spacious, clean and has everything we needed to make it an easy enjoyable weekend. The beds were comfy, location was great and we loved the large fireplace. The house was great, everything we had hoped for and more. The pictures don’t do it justice. We had 9 adults in our group and there was plenty of room for us all on the sofas around the fireplace and we could all fit at the table to eat together.

The property was absolutely beautiful! We loved staying at this house. The fire place inside definitely needs to be cleaned though, don't do fires inside until it's been cleaned. Its a beautiful and cozy VT home. Absolutely recommend staying here!

We stayed here with another family, four young kids in all, and had a great time. The house is nestled in the woods, had lots of room for the kids to play and the kitchen was well equipped. It was clean and Kara was very responsive and helpful with all my questions. The driveway is steep, so I definitely recommend 4wd—we had snow and wouldn't have made it up the drive without it.

My extended family and I had a great time at this cabin. Plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen is a bit tight to accommodate the needs (storage, food prep) for 9 people for 1 week, but we made it work. The river and swimming hole were fun, and we appreciated the use of the kayaks at the house. Everything was clean upon arrival, but we had to contact the owner to arrange for trash pickup as well as extra supplies that were provided in the middle of the week. Would highly recommend this place for a summer getaway.

We found this rental to be a great place to stay on our ski trip. It accommodated a large group (with plenty of room for more), was very clean/well maintained, and within 20 minutes of skiing. Check-in was very easy and no-contact which was much appreciated.

This house is perfect! We had 12 in our group & there was plenty of room for all of us. The layout is awesome - open floor plan which allows for whoever is cooking dinner to be a part of the group, family room in the lower level which gives the kids somewhere to be, bedrooms spread out among the three floors, plenty of bathrooms for all. Carport is a total plus! Located in a sweet community that was perfect for a jog or walking the dogs. We spent our day at Killington (20 min easy drive) and came back & lit a fire & enjoyed the house. Kara was so helpful & responsive. WE LOVE THIS HOUSE!!
