About this chalet rental

Enjoy the best of Lake Wallenpaupack in this Lakefront Chalet which is located on mile plus wide North Eastern section of Lake Wallenpaupack, settting the stage for dramatic sunsets. The views include one of the wider expanses of the lake, stretching out a mile across toward Epply Island. Bring your boat and tie up to our dock, and enjoy beautiful relaxing days on the water. Barbecue on the Deck or cook in the fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy campfires at lakeside.

The chalet includes a loft bedroom with a Queen size bed and Private full bath and 2 main floor bedrooms, one with a Queen size bed and one with 2 twins, and a 2nd full bath. The large glass windows provide magnificent views of the lake, sunsets, moonlit nights reflecting on the lake, and large pine trees on the shoreline.

The Sunset View chalet is located at the end of a private road, with only 3 other houses, so the setting is relatively private. The dock is located right in front of the house and is shared with our Sunset View Cabin. The cabin has wifi and streaming high def tv.

This property is next to our Sunset View Cabin (Homeaway.com #4137262) and both properties can be rented for larger events, family reunions, etc.!

If you are a looking for a great location for family fun and relaxing reunions with friends this is the spot. However, if you are looking for a place to have a loud all night party this would not be a good location as we are in a family-friendly area and the township enforces a 10pm noise curfew. Thanks for understanding!

Guests typically bring their own towels and bed linens, bed sizes are 2 Queen size beds, 2 Twins and a Full size sofa bed. However, towel and linen service is available at additional cost if needed. Just let us know. Sorry, pets are not permitted.

The home was clean, organized and the ideal location for a family getaway on the lake. The dock was perfect for watching sunsets and swimming or tubing. The fire pit was wonderful for family time in the evening. We hope to come back.

The place was nice. Close to the water with a dock. It was nice sitting around the firepit at night. Great view of the stars from the dock, too. The house was nice but not overly nice. Some small investments from the owners would make this a five star - a stable coffee table, comfortable single beds, kayaks....but overall, nice stay.

David and the property manager, Jennifer, both responded quickly and made us feel welcome! From the second we turned the key we felt comfortable and at home. The sunset views over the lake were stunning! Its hard to please teenagers. My 17 year old son and 18 year old niece were both so content and at peace sitting by the water and fire pit. So many deer visited us too. A++

House was very nice, nice set up, nice decorations. Had everything we needed. The dock and fire pit were perfect. The entire process from booking to checking out was extremely easy and the owner and property manager were always easy to reach with quick responses to any questions we had. This property has a great location with beautiful sunset views; Close to supermarket and town of Hawley. The check-in process was very smooth and David was very accommodating and responsive with all our questions. The layout of the house is very functional, really enjoyed eating dinners out on the deck and views from the cathedral ceiling w/windows. Some updates to living room furniture and added conveniences (more towel racks in the bathroom) would really make this place stand out. None the less, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the use of the dock for boating and fishing. Despite our suggestions, I would still recommend this property to others and would consider staying again.

As for getting to the dock, it was for myself and my daughter in law, a bit dangerous. A few stair steps that led to large and small rocks, some of which were outright dangerous. if you slipped. I'm suggesting a ramp of sorts. No big expense. No wash machine or dryer in the house(2009). I believe the ad was written for 2010.. Just some suggestions.

We enjoyed the property very much. House was very, very clean. Good instructions were left. We were to be met by a woman familiar with the property but were not, but did not pose a problem. Communication with owner was good. Good location to good restaurants, etc. Right off Rt. 507 near Rt. 6. Will rent again.

Very nice house, perfect place to see a sunset. If you like to take photos this is the place for you. Eagles every day, even got to see one take a fish from the lake. Property manager was very helpful throughout the process and was immediately responsive. Perfect place for getaway.
