The location was lovely but the house could use some updates.

We love this house. This was our 3rd year in a row renting this home. The location is very private, with no neighboring homes. They have even upgraded the he this year with new wood floors upstairs and middle room floor; and added a new expanded dock area at the lake. We are already making plans to book for next year.

I loved the large kitchen, open living area & covered deck. The house was very clean & was so nice to have fresh clean linens provided. Quiet & away from much of the lake traffic yet convenient to restaurants.

Overall we liked the property and house. However, it needs some TLC, several things were broke or wore out. Reclining couch in the family room didn't recline, holes in walls surrounding showers, shower heads did not spray water just shot it out sporadically. The bunks in the basement were very loud if anyone moved, we had to leave the top bunks empty because they were to noisy with someone in them. The dock was new and very nice, though there were no cleats to tie off a boat. The ramp was tricky but doable, just be prepared to back a vehicle completely in the water about 5 feet back, which works because it's solid. These things do not warrant a complaint just giving a heads up so people are prepared, we would definitely stay again.

Awesome experience
We had a wonderful experience at this place. I would recommend to others. The only problem I realize is the water pressure at upper floor is very low and hot water supply was not sufficient if all the bathrooms are active around the same time. But above all it was a pleasant experience and we enjoyed a lot. I will love to go this place again in future.

I am hesitant to post this review because...
We loved this property! I hope it is available for us in the future since the house and location was everything we could have asked for and more. So, I hesitate to leave an awesome review at risk of full booking, but the place undoubtedly deserves it.
Boat ramp paving was primitive and steep with tight clearance between some trees which would make it difficult or impossible for a large boat to be launched, but worked fine for my 15 foot trailered jonboat and 4X4 pick-up truck.
I found the dock and boathouse to be very useful for my small boat needs. The on-site dock and boat launch were my favorite feature of this property.
There is a public launch at Hunter's Landing a few miles away for larger boats and more bougie setups. Hunter's also has a restaurant, bar, fuel, pizza, and a small store, all accessible by watercraft or vehicle.
Small beach/large sandbox by the water, kayaks, life vests, grill, balcony, and fire pit were a hit for the whole family. The firepit was my youngest's favorite location feature. Too cold when we went to jump in the lake, as the decor suggested.
House itself was clean, spacious, and gorgeous with it's copious amounts of wood and stone walls. Does not give that chic boutique, modern/post-modern vibe other locations may have, which made the place delightful to me.
Many beds and couches scattered around the house make for a comfortable stay for extended friends or family to stop by not to exceed the generous max occupancy of 21 total. If you are paying for or organizing the trip, you get your choice of 2 bedrooms with a gorgeous lake view, each with its own bathroom plus additional bedroom on the main floor facing the driveway. Take one. You deserve it.
2 full kitchens with 2 full refrigerators mean plenty of room for cooking storing all that extra food you and your family brought that you thought you needed. Utensils, cooking utensils, and dishware are provided. There's a Keurig machine and a traditional coffee maker. The well-stocked main kitchen was my wife's favorite feature.
Ping-Pong table and board games/toys in the basement were almost enough to keep the kids off the electronics when inside. This was my 10-year old's and my 7-year old's favorite feature.
The whole lakeside of the house and property has amazing views, with the closest noticeable neighbors being the cows across the lake.
I really can't imagine needing or wanting anything else out of a rental property. Kudos!

Well we have some things to let you know
We loved the property, we were a group of 20 people. My whole family visited to enjoy Christmas away from the city, but some things were just wrong, the property has 4 bathrooms, but you have to bathe one by one, because if someone bathes downstairs, the upstairs showers have no water and the water pressure is zero, the water does not reach the top and causes the showers to not work, several doors do not close, the beds for God's sake, the individual ones are sturdy and hard, and the matrimonial ones are old, And sunken. they have a hole in the middle and it is impossible for you to sleep, the relatives who slept on the sofas were more comfortable, it is a beautiful property, it is worth investing a little.
The best of all is the view of the lake, and practically you have everything you need in the kitchen, dishes and everything you need to cook, if they will change the beds and fix the water pressure and the showers we would gladly return to this beautiful place with a beautiful view

wonderful home
This home very large and had plenty of beds for 7 adults and 8 kids. The layout was perfect. The upstairs patio furniture is new and clean. I was happy to find a pet friendly home as nice as this one. The kayaks were great. We had three of our own so that added to the fun. All our kids big and small, loved the slide that went into the lake. Nice dock too! I gave this house 4 stars because it needed bigger mugs, a working blender, water toys and cleaner patio furniture downstairs.

Nice vacation
The location of this home is lovely, secluded, and perfect for unwinding. The WiFi wasn’t great but really, we were unplugging for the week. If you’re attempting to work while being away, I wouldn’t recommend it. The view is beautiful, the dock is great fun for fishing, sliding/swimming, and kayaking. It’s on the quieter side of Lake Anna, which was so nice. We had some issues with the upstairs showers leaking into the main floor space. The furniture could use some updating but was comfortable enough. We could not find a broom anywhere to help keep the place clean throughout the week which was frustrating with kids underfoot. The basement is perfect for kids, we loved having that space for them. Our main complaint was the trash situation. We didn’t know there wouldn’t be any trash pickup throughout the week. We were not prepared with the proper vehicle to have to haul trash midweek and could not so the trash cans filled up and we had to overfill them. For a home that boasts sleeping for 20 people, there needs to be a plan for week long rentals to have trash pickup midweek. Thanks for having us!

This house has a lot of potential that is unrealized due to basic lack of maintenance and upkeep. We’ve rented a lot of houses— all over the world— and I have to say that this is one of the worst houses we’ve rented. In short, the house needs a lot of work.
We stayed for two weeks. Perhaps several of the issues we encountered could be overlooked if staying for a shorter period… but probably not.
The Good:
* General size and distribution of beds.
* Dock with slide was a huge hit
* Water is not too deep right at house so kids can play easily— I’m 5-10 and off the dock, it was about chest high.
* You’re pretty secluded— only house nearby
* Two full kitchens.
The bad:
* The Internet is AWFUL. The house really should not advertise that it has internet. There technically is wifi, but the speeds clock in at 0.4 MBPS. If you’re considering working from here, you cannot. Bring a hot spot.
* The beds are comfortable for one person only. They’ll all like tacos— so if you like to sleep sliding into your partner, you’ll love it.
General maintenance & Upkeep Problems:
* The house is generally dirty.
* Lots of cobwebs all over — and not new cobwebs— like spider webs that look like they’re years old. They would do well to spray the perimeter. I realize it’s a lake house, but this is ridiculous.
* The outdoor furniture looks like it hasn’t been wiped down in a few years. So dirty you really don’t want to sit on it. Especially on the lower level.
* Lot of dirt in corners & on floor.
* The door knobs/latches generally are broken. They don’t catch. You have to SLAM the porch door at least twice to get it to latch. This gets to be very annoying.
* All of the shower heads are awful and are each at least 50% clogged. This could be solved for like $50.
*The toilets don’t flush well.
*The tubs don’t drain well.
* Several electric outlets don’t work.
*Several lightbulbs were missing or out.
The Annoying
*Gas grill propane tank died after 3 uses. Extra tank was empty. (Vacasa did bring a new tank, but this didn’t really help us when we had to transfer dinner from the grill to the oven.
* You can hear the road traffic from the dock. (We debated putting this in the “bad” category. Some of us could overlook it. Some felt that it was highly annoying.)
*The fire pit is constructed such that you can only put chairs around half of it— and your chairs have to face away from the lake. Poor design.
* Coffee cups are tiny— like coffee shot glasses.
Hate to be so negative, but, it’s important to be honest. Otherwise, what’s the point of reviews…
I hope that they throw a little money at this place. It has a lot of potential. It just isn’t there right now.

Beautiful location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house felt secluded with no neighbors yet convenient to restaurants, wineries and grocery stores. The house had all necessary amenities and some extras. The three kayaks were used almost daily and the dock was perfect. Thank you for letting us stay at Tucker’d out.

Great place, but lacking.
The property and house are incredible. The dock with its slide and kayaks was great fun, and the location was gorgeous. There were some minor issues regarding leaking and very noisy pipes in the baths/showers, but a very real problem was the wifi. It was too slow to be able to do much of anything. There are many party games that require a decent internet connection, which we were hoping to play (such as Jack- in- the- box games, etc), but we simply could not do that.

Revived at Tuckered Out
Best accommodations, with sheets and towels, soap, paper towels, tp, etc. provided - like a hotel - (except we ran out of paper products and dishwasher soap in two days)! Best water toys, fire pit, outdoor furniture, etc. Fun for every age! The ping pong table was missing so don't count on it for those rainy days.

We loved the house but I can the wifi doesn't exist. The wifi didn't work
We loved the house and location. The view was wonderful. I think the house can be more clean. Our most problem was internet. The wifi didn't work, we hadn't internet access. Also, our mobile services didn't work.

Great vacation spot
We all enjoyed the house and the outdoor area. My only complaint is one of the upstairs bedroom smelled like wet dog and the decorative pillows on the bed were covered with dog hair.

Relaxing Weekend at the Lake
This property accommodated us perfectly! We had a great stay at this lakefront, cozy cabin. We had the place at max occupancy with 21 people, and there was plenty of space for all of us. The PM app was very helpful and provided all the information we could have possibly needed. They were very responsive when we reached out before the weekend as well. A few things that we noticed that could use improvement are as follows: 1) there was not enough silverware for all 21 people. We did all our meals in the home, and that was an inconvenience when it came to mealtimes. Similarly, 2) the inventory/quantity provided for things like trash bags, dishwasher pods, toilet paper, all felt "rationed" and were skimpy at best. But besides these things, we had a great stay, and would love to come back!

Great weekend escape!
Our family of 12 plus 2 kids had an amazing time. The inside of the home was perfect, clean and well stocked. Plenty of space for everyone and it all worked fine. The outdoor space has a gorgeous view, it is quiet and very pleasant, the kayaks worked great for us. The house may need a little TLC on the outside...lots of old lamps and spiderwebs everywhere.
We noticed on the last day there was a leak in the living room, it appears to be coming from the bathroom above the kitchen! The house is beautiful but there appears to be a pipe issue upstairs, and may required immediate attention so it doesn’t become a larger issue on the wood!
We would rent this home again as our family and kids really loved the vibe and location.
Thanks!
