About this house rental

This is a very affordable and comfortable little beach house on a full flat section and within walking distance (about 700m) of the ocean beach.

There's no letter box but the #212 is very visible on the side of the house. There's plenty of parking - even for a boat - in the front section. You can sit on the small deck at the front to watch the world go by or go to the back where there is more privacy. We think that the little house is a pleasant surpise. To be perfectly honest, the furnishings are a bit of a throw back to the 90s but the place is fully furnished and everything is clean and tidy, The interior is fresh and has been painted 5 years ago, with flooring and bathroom renovated in the past 2 years.

This is a home with a very cozy feel - it is uncarpeted (makes cleaning very easy, especially with all the sand that comes in after a day at the beach!)

The two bedrooms upstairs, with the sloping eaves are very warm, even in winter. One has a double bed, the other 2 singles with a further double sofa bed downstairs in the lounge area

The section is great for playing ball games. If you want a day away from the beach, there is plenty of space.

This has been a family beach house for many years - babies to little children and now teenagers - and has been a terrific little getaway for every stage.

It is only about a 10-15 minutes walk to the beach (depending on how fast you want to go). The surf club is only a 2 minute drive away and the shops a further 2-3 minutes - but everything is close by in Whangamata!

Lovely big section for kids to play, quiet street, close enough for a fairly quick walk to beach/playground or bike to the dairy. Bedroom fans much appreciated for hot summer evenings!

Great bach on a large flat section. Heaps of room for cricket, volleyball etc. and a nice veranda to enjoy the sunset over the hills from. Beach is an easy 8 min walk. Bach is clean and tidy and has everything you need for a fun stay.

We booked this property in Feb. The booking was accepted, only to be cancelled at the last minute. We did not receive advice of the cancellation. Presumably they got a better offer. Such Hosts give WOTIF a bad reputation.

Lovely little bach within reasonable walking distance to the beach. Staircase is a bit steep and beds are a bit on the soft side but lovely nonetheless.

Lovely place. Quite convenient for the beach. We enjoyed our Easter stay a lot. The beds were a bit too small for two people to comfortably sleep so I ended up sleeping on the couch downstairs for the time which wasn't the best, but we're used to a super king, so maybe to be expected.

Well equipped, and in a good location within walking distance to main beach, surf club, etc. We might even return one day for another stay.

The house was quite unclean, there was a huge dust build up in various areas which would be the result of months of accumulation. The toilet brush was old and worn and unhygienic. The shower is cracked. The front steps are unsafe to use. We had to do a lot of cleaning. It also lacks adequate kitchenware. House was advertised as a Lockwood - it is not. Property Manager offered us a free night to enjoy the house another time. But we would not go back.

Great low key bach. It has everything you need without any frills and so makes for a very easy carefree holiday. Walking distance to the beach is great! Great communication from the owners from the day we booked. Thank you for a great place to have a holiday.
