This place is very comfortable and quiet. It's on a closed lagoon so you won't see/hear any power boats, and it's great for kayaking. The house is very close to both Crescent and Turtle beach, and also a kayak/bike rental place near Stickney Point so it didn't take long to get kayaks when we wanted them. The garage is spacious with room for two vehicles. The beds are comfortable and the upstairs bedroom has a beautiful view. The pool is relaxing and well-maintained. One reason I picked this house is it has four bedroom as well as four bathrooms. The middle floor tended to get a little warmer during the day but it also has it's own A/C which was awesome to cool things down quickly at bedtime! The kitchen is very complete, just pick up a few things you like from the grocery store and you'll be all set here. We also used the grill one night and it is in great condition. If you're okay with not being right on the beach you'll have a hard time finding a better place than this one.

We had a wonderful three weeks in this beautiful house. It was our second stay and it was even better than the first. The house was immaculate as the last time. Fully stocked kitchen with sharpened (!) knives. Updated TV’s with super easy access to streaming and live programs. Very responsive owners when minor problems arose. The house is great for a couple and perfect with visiting friends as there is plenty of room. The dock at the lagoon is a dream in the mornings and at sun set a magical place. The tropical garden is a pleasure to look at and you can forget the bustle of Siesta Key and believe you are in a tropical paradise. We will be back!

Relaxing and peaceful holiday on the lagoon.
Relaxing and peaceful holiday on the lagoon.
My family enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful holiday in this Heron Lagoon property. My daughter enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed kayaking on the lagoon....we all enjoyed watching the ospreys, northern cardinal, carolina wrens and anhingas in the surrounding tree tops and listening to their calls with our morning cup of tea! The lagoon is so peaceful, especially early morning and at sunset, with fish jumping out and pelicans flying over. We even saw an otter. We also enjoyed the 4th of July fireworks from the dock and the upstairs balcony. We made good use of the Siesta Key Trolley bus (which picks up and drops off right outside the house) and visited many local attractions, as well as a few further afield. The house was a lovely size for our family of 5, so we had plenty of space. Lauri was very efficient and quick to respond to any questions that we had. We spent a few of our days at Turtle Beach, as it is just a 2/3 minute car journey away, but we also drove further out to Nokomis beach. Overall, we had a very enjoyable time. Thank you for letting us stay in your home. Amanda and family.

Paradise at the lagoon
Paradise at the lagoon
The house was better than its online listing. The layout of the ground floor with the central kitchen, the tv room with comfy arm chairs and a central sofa, the adjacent living room and following dinning area perfect. Combine this with two decks overlooking the pool, garden and lagoon, one for dining the other for enjoying a glass of wine or a private chat, and you everything you need for everyone having his favorite spot. And the best: the tropical view from the house to the lagoon. Lush greens, squawking birds, jumping fish make this a paradise. Sitting on the deck on the lagoon in the morning or watching sunset with a glass of wine are picture perfect. The master bedroom is spacious and airy, the ensuite bathroom with shower and jacuzzi is huge and the best part: the balcony again with the view over the grounds and lagoon, competes for the peaceful morning coffee with dock on the lagoon. The rest of the house is as described. The pool beautifuk All shops are in easy reach over the bridge to the main land. You must go to Detwilers Farmer Market on Clark Rd to find the best veggies, meat and seafood. We were blown away

Everything we needed for a wonderful Florida family vacation
Everything we needed for a wonderful Florida family vacation
The house was perfect for our two families. Our kids were in the pool within 15 minutes of our arrival and barely left it for two weeks. We also made full use of the lagoon just behind the house, which was excellent for kayaking. Inside, we had everything we needed. The open layout of the first floor let us cook and socialize while the kids were playing around us, and there was plenty of space in the house for the 8 of us. We loved all of the deck space and ate outside when we could, and did plenty of grilling. We cooked almost every meal and found everything we needed in the kitchen. We also really appreciated all of the pool and beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, toys) that were there for us to use. The house was the perfect distance from things for us. The neighborhood was quiet and lovely, but a 5-minute drive brought us to the bustle of Siesta Key village and the beautiful beach there. Groceries and Target were only 10 minutes away, and there were some excellent places to get food (the Big Water Fish Market and Siesta Creamery in particular!) within a few minutes of the house. All in all, we really enjoyed the property and would wholeheartedly recommend it to others, particularly those with younger families.

Amazing property and owner
Amazing property and owner
This property is amazing and it is located close to everything you would want to do on or near Siesta Key. The inside of the house is comfortable with many modern amenities including several smart devices throughout. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cookware, and small appliances. They even had a cheesecake pan and blender., so my daughter was able to make her favorite dessert while we were there. The design is clean and luxurious. There is enough space for everyone with 4 bedrooms and 4 full baths. It also had 2 office set ups which allowed us to easily work remote for part of our stay. On the exterior of the home, there is a generously heated pool, the lowest the temperature ever got was 84 degrees. It is located just beyond two different decks where people can hang out, relax, or barbecue. At the back of the home there is a small board walk to a private dock that offers a beautiful view of Herron Lagoon. We were even able to watch 4th of July fireworks from multiple locations sitting on the dock. There, you can also fish and watch the sun set. We even saw an otter that came up to greet us. There is easy access to beaches from this location including Turtle Beach and Siesta Key Beach. You can visit Siesta Key Village just a few minutes away. It’s just a short 20-minute drive to St. Armand’s where you can shop and enjoy plenty of restaurants. This location is secluded and quiet; away from all the traffic and craziness that you’ll see near Siesta Key Beach. However, you’re still close enough to small shops and restaurants that you can enjoy within a short drive and we really liked Fat Daddiio’s Pizza, which is close and has the best priced pizza - my kids love pizza. The owner, Lauri, was very helpful, friendly and easy to work with. She was in constant communication during hurricane Elsa, and she made sure we were taken care of in the event of high winds and heavy rainfall. Our family loved it here. It’s a gem tucked away in the trees with a beautiful view of the lagoon, and it feels like home. We highly recommend this home and we can’t wait to stay here again.

Private, Peaceful, Yet Close to Action
Private, Peaceful, Yet Close to Action
We were hesitant to book something that wasn’t beachfront but holy smokes were we glad we booked here once we saw the swarms of cars and people at Siesta Key Beach. This gave us the best of both worlds: we could venture out into the action at the beach and still retreat back to a very peaceful setting. Lovely view and lush landscaping made for a private retreat-like atmosphere. Great fun to paddle lagoon at night or just watch fish jump. Extremely comfortable furniture and beds and many seating groupings. Kitchen is very well equipped. Appreciated MANY extras such as good knives, Alexa, beach towels, extra channels, bike, fins, tools, spices, coffee, laundry/soaps to name a few. Fast WiFi and good desk set up for working remotely. Only 5 or so stairs to enter house and main level has step in shower and a bedroom plus laundry, kitchen, living, dining and beautiful views. Was a perfect set up for my 83 year old mother. Excellent owner interaction. Property does not feel like a rental. Not a ding or chip anywhere. Spotlessly clean. Highly recommend.
