Great Location on Kenai! Family had fun relaxing - watching the bald eagles and fishing!! It is a lot of stairs - but worth the effort! Host was super responsive and the house/deck was great!

This was by far our favorite place we stayed on our 10-day Alaskan adventure. The house was perfectly appointed and had everything plus more we needed. Our only negative is that we didn’t stay longer! The river was amazing, the Eagles were stunning. We will be back!

Everything about renting this property went smoothly! Kevin was very easy to work with and worked hard to make sure the house was ready for us. The property is beautiful and very well taken care of. Would definitely come back and rent this property again.

We enjoyed hanging out on the deck and near the river. We were close to restaurants, grocery stores and breweries. Great for families and we would love to stay here again!

What a wonderful stay our family party of six had at the Fraley’s home on the Kenai River. The home has a spacious, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, a spacious family room, and large deck, with several areas to sit and enjoy the river view. We enjoyed the propane heater on the deck and the large, gas grill. The house is well-situated in a quiet neighborhood in Soldotna with easy access to stores and highways. Our fishermen enjoyed fishing for salmon for the first time. They are skilled fishermen in the Midwest, but fishing for salmon was a challenge, if you follow the fishing regulations on limits and snagging fish. The dock area by the Kenai River is as described, including excellent railings up the steps from the river, but be aware that there are sixty, steep steps from the dock to the house. The kitchen and two main bedrooms and family room are all on one level which was very convenient for us. However, the main level is only accessible via the deck or through the downstairs level. This was difficult for one of our older family members. Kevin communicated so well with us. He called us before our stay to make sure we understood how to get there and answered any questions we had about the home. Since we were arriving late into the evening, he even made sure that outside lights were left on, so we could locate the house easily. We appreciated the helpful hints and expectations he left in a binder at the house. No wonder the house is in such excellent shape. We appreciate the care that the Fraleys take to maintain such a gem on the Kenai!

This is by far one of the best VRBO rentals we have stayed at in the last several years. Immaculately clean and every area was stocked well with all necessary items. The location on the river was perfect with amazing views. I would highly recommend staying at this location. Communication with the owner was easy and fast.

We had a wonderful time at this great home in a beautiful setting! Very well stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes, utensils, pots, etc for lots of cooking! Very comfortable beds! Beautiful deck for morning coffee and evening happy hour! We hope to stay again in the future! Thanks so much for sharing your home!

The house was perfect for a family get together of 11. The house fit our every need. It was so beautiful to sit at the kitchen table and look out onto the river. The outside porch was great as well. We enjoyed the fire pit and the owners were so nice and helpful. We definitely recommend this house! Outstanding!!

We were there for 3 nights right on the bank of the Kenai River in Soldotna. The town center was 5 minutes away. The VRBO was a great experience on its own. We had a wonderful time.

This house had everything , we made awesome memories and was such a relaxing two days ! Loved the spacious rooms and how clean and organized it was!

This place was amazing, the house had everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was far better stocked then most, it was very homey and comfortable. Lot's of inside space and the deck is just amazing, so many places to get comfortable and relax. And of course right on the beautiful Kenai, we really couldn't have asked for more!!

We got married here June 2021. The property is spacious, clean, beautiful, and the deck is a wonderful place for the family to hang out. Very nice view of the Kenia offered a great backdrop for our outdoor wedding on the deck. The owners are very easy to work with and accommodating.

The house is very big and comfortable. It is in a residential area so you do have to drive to food, grocery etc. The outdoor deck area is beautiful and we did grill and enjoy our evenings. We were hoping to fish off the dock and purchased equipment in town but it was not a good time for fishing. We did see eagles on the river. We drove one hour to Cooper's Landing for a float trip and 20 minutes to Kasilof for a salmon fishing trip (no salmon yet). Overall the house was well stocked and the owners were very easy to communicate with.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week on the Kenai River in this awesome home. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable. We loved the extra master suite. The teens downstairs said this was the best vacation house ever! We were able to fish right off the dock till almost midnight, with plenty of freezer space to store all that we caught. We were right down the street from the grocery store and hardware/fishing supply store, yet we felt away from town and into the natural beauty. We would definitely recommend this beautiful home to anyone, and Jill and Kevin were great hosts.

We were a group of five fishermen from the Midwest, and we had a great week even in the middle of the pandemic. We had our groceries delivered via Instacart, and left the house very little. The most convenient place to get firewood is Centennial Park, which is a nearby campground that sells bundles for $6 each. The stairs leading down to the fishing platform are very handy and all of us, even the over 65 group, were able to negotiate the stairs to get to the river and back up again. The numbers of sockeye were a bit down this year from previous years but we were still able to catch a good amount of fish. The hosts were great, the WiFi was good, the river view was great from the spacious decks, and everything worked, and we had a very nice stay.

This is our 4th time to Soldotna / Kenai and we thoroughly enjoyed Kevin and Jill’s house over the Thanksgiving holiday! The location on the river was beautiful, it is convenient to town and everything you need is within a 5 minute drive — which was important to us in case of bad weather. The house was super clean and had lots of supplies (kitchen spices, comfortable beds, modern amenities, etc...). Kevin was very attentive to our questions/needs. Very good WiFi, lots of TV channels, and quality family time sitting around the large kitchen table playing cards and games. Thank you, Kevin and Jill! It couldn’t have been a better holiday in your home away from our home! We’ll be back! And sometime we’d like to return in the summer so that we can use that amazing deck!

Everything was perfect. Beautiful property with everything one could possibly need. So spacious, we didn't even use much of the home.

This property is a gem! Our annual fishing trip was interrupted by the Swan Lake Fire and were required to make some last minute changes to our regular plans. We were surprised to find this amazing property available on such short notice. The property location is breathtaking and the amazing back deck allows you to take in the gorgeous views day and night. The owners were very responsive to our initial request and we received great communication regarding the property particulars and their expectations during our stay. The house was extremely comfortable for our small group of 4 but could accommodate a much larger group for family gatherings. The cleanliness of the property was second to none. Should we ever need accommodations in the Soldotna/Kenai area in the future, this will be the place for us to stay!

This is a beautiful home. The views of the river from the house were stunning and the dock was beautiful to sit on and watch the river go by. All pictures are accurate and it is even more beautiful in person. I’d love to go back. We had a wonderful time and Kevin was very responsive to my call, texts and emails. Thank you!

Kevin and Jill met us at the property for check in. They were very nice and extremely helpful. Their home is lovely and fit our needs perfectly. We especially enjoyed sitting on the nice, large deck overlooking the river and being able to kayak right out of the backyard. We highly recommend this property.

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Soldotna, THIS is the place! Our party of six included two grandparents, two parents, and two youth, ages 11 and 15. We found this place to be spaciously accommodating of all our needs. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots and pans, baking dishes, plates, cups, utensils of all kinds... pretty much anything you could possibly need during your stay. Oh, and an electric hot water kettle, which is personally my favorite feature of the kitchen, as I’m an avid tea drinker :-) The two master suites are spacious and well-equipped with dresser and/or closet space. It was very nice to unpack our suitcases following a week of stop-n-go traveling farther north on the railroad. The master baths are beautifully updated and roomy. Please note: all bathrooms have showers, there are no tubs for taking baths. Just a side note, not a deal breaker for any of us! Downstairs, there is another bedroom, also very roomy with lots of drawer and closet space. The open floor plan features a family room space with a large, exceptionally comfortable sectional and a large flat screen TV for watching movies and playing video games. There is another bed situated in the corner, which is partitioned off. The utility/washer/dryer room and another full bath makes this space complete. Back upstairs, the large living room features a beautiful vaulted ceiling with windows facing the river. What a view! It doesn’t get much better than this, unless you’re sitting on the deck or by the river on the dock. Speaking of which, the deck is one of the BEST features of this home! We all spent lots of time out there at different times of the day, and it was never too hot or too sunny. Always just perfect. Especially the evening when a moose came strolling by! The dock is wonderful as well. Unfortunately, we were a smidge too early for the sockeye run on this part of the Kenai, so we didn’t use it a whole lot. It is well-equipped, though, for catching lots of fish: a prep table for filleting your catch and water for washing things off. Kevin was absolutely tops in communicating with us. At one point, we ran out of dishwasher tablets, and within minutes of checking in Kevin about it, a neighbor showed up with replenishments. Wow! Cleanliness was top notch. This is probably the cleanest vacation rental we’ve stayed in, and we’ve been in quite a few over the years. Many thanks to Kevin and his wife for such a lovely stay!
