About this cabin rental

NO CLEANING FEE!

Near new cabin situated on 2.3 acres at the head of Whalebone Cove in the beautiful Copper Bluff area of Quadra Island. The cabin sits on a mossy bluff above our home, overlooking Discovery Passage and the mountains beyond Campbell River. Looking westward it's hard to find a nicer sunset on Quadra Island. If the large front windows don't get you close enough, then just sit out on the deck and enjoy the show. The property has 240 feet of waterfront and a private dock. Tie up your boat, launch your kayak or just bring your fishing rod and enjoy the day. Our dock is equipped with power and fresh water. Take in the ever changing variety of marine life on the water including whales, dolphins, otters, seals and birds. Every day there is an interesting array of marine traffic including cruise ships from May to September.
You will love the surrounding moss covered bluffs and steep cliffs that make this area unique. We are close to some of the best hiking and biking trails on Quadra and a 15 minute drive to the Village Bay Lakes.
We are comfortably separated from Quadra's busier areas and still close enough to slip in for a beer at the pub or to shop for your next meal with a quick 12 minute drive to Heriot Bay.
Whalebone Cove Cabin is ideal for a most peaceful getaway. It has everything you need and then some. A fully stocked kitchen including the basic spices, coffee & tea, a very comfortable queen sized bed, a walk in shower, handmade natural soap, and a washer and dryer. We also provide a barbeque on the deck in case you have the urge to grill. And just to make sure you stay connected with the world, we have not forgotten a large screen TV and included the internet.
We are a 4 season cabin. You can enjoy the great outdoors during the warmer months or cozy up by the fireplace during the cooler months. Quadra Island is a great place to be at any time of the year.

My sister and I shared this cabin for two nights - we wished we planned for a longer stay! The cabin is as described - and beautifully so - and as such, we knew what to expect. We got in late on our first night and the host was kind and had the lights on for us to find out way in the dark. Seeing the view the next morning was outstanding! I would definitely love to be back again!!

property extremely well designed and maintained. beach access not easy, and challenging kayaking in that area due to tidal currents. so we went elsewhere for that and it was all fine. great hiking close by. would enjoy staying there again as the cabin was such a delight.

Best vrbo ever. Have stayed in many over the years, none as fine as whalebone on Quadra Island.

A little piece of paradise surrounded by nature. Our hosts, Laurie & Ed were thoughtful and kind; offering suggestions, bringing us an extra table to dine on the patio and carrots from their garden. The perfect balance of hospitality and privacy. The cabin is a labour of love & it shows in the little details that make it so special. Everything you could need and more and an amazing view. Quadra is a beautiful little island with water access everywhere you go. We would definitely recommend kayaking the lakes in Main Provincial Park and Drew Bay at Rebecca Spit; a pretty place to take a walk, too! Saw a couple of humpbacks at the Spit. The hike to Surge Narrows was lush and peaceful and the view at the end was rewarding. We saw sea lions, eagles and starfish here. There were quite a few vendors at the farmers market on Saturday and one of them recommended checking out the driftwood sculptures that are behind the inn when you come off the ferry. The golf course has a really good mini golf with driftwood sculptures, too! Java Cafe by the grocery store at Heriot Bay makes an Iced Caramel Latte that is to die for, Island Farm to Table makes the best sausage rolls and the fish and chips at Heriot Pub were delicious! Perfect place to rest and recharge. We loved watching island deer wander the property, the hummingbirds at the feeder and the cruise ships sailing past the cabin ~ good for the soul. Highly recommend a visit to Quadra and a stay at Whalebone Cove Cabin!

Whalebone cabin is fantastic. Wonderful views and the cabin itself is incredibly well-thought out. Outlets where you need them, a nice selection of teas, games, pamphlets on the area and books. Stargazing was also fabulous, with views of the Milky Way. However the best treat was some visiting orcas in our first morning. .

Returned to find that everything was still perfect. Great hosts, clean fully equipped cottage with great view on to Campbell River. We saw school of Pacific White Dolphins feeding on salmon right off the dock. Orcas swam by another day and we were entertained by different hummingbirds fighting over the feeder. Perfect.

Beautiful quiet spot with wonderful view. We had a visit from 3 black tailed deer and listened to bird songs whilst enjoying BBqueing on the deck The cabin was spotless and nicely decorated. It was even nicer than the photos. Would recommend this to friends.
