What a great location. Secluded but close enough to everything we wanted to do. The place was immaculate and very well maintained. We enjoyed every bit of our 2 nights. Thank you so much for providing a wonderful experience. I’m not sure if you’re aware but it seems like half the jets of your hot tub don’t work and there was a little build up but overall what a great place to relax. Thanks again Andy

Our family of 5 enjoyed this spot very much. Great location, picturesque and peaceful. Enjoyed watching the sea planes takeoff and land on occasion as well! House is very modern and well stocked. Highly recommended!

Andy’s home in Talkeetna was great. It was super close to town, about a 5 minute drive. And the lake was awesome. Beautiful views. We used the canoe and hot tub multiple times during our stay. The house was clean and everything worked great.

If you’re wanting to stay in Talkaneeta and this place is available, snag it! We stayed here 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The house is clean, well stocked and comfortable. The best part is the host Andy went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing. He was available at anytime to us and checked in with us prior to our stay. We saw a Moose take a swim right out front in the lake. While in Talkaneeta, we enjoyed a fly over Mt. Denali, a guided fishing tour and an upscale dinner with spectacular views at the Talkaneeta Lodge. The Talkaneeta lodge is beautiful but we had a better stay in this house! Thanks Andy for helping us make incredible memories!

Everything we expected and more. Watching float planes take off was awesome! It was a bit warm when we were there but with the windows and fans it was okay. Town short trip down the road, Talkeetna Lodge also right down the road for beautiful Denali viewing (thanks for the info). We were fortunate to have 2 clear days out of the 3 we stayed and could view the peak of Denali. Saved us a ride all the way there. Would highly recommend the house, it was stocked with all the basics you could need and very clean. Felt right at home. Andy was quick to reply when we reached out to him. Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful place!

Andy is a great host, and the place fit our needs well. There is some float plane noise, but very little road noise at night. The place is a perfect getaway, and we enjoyed it even though it rained most of the time. We would stay here again!

Great location just minutes to Talkeetna, quiet, and beautiful. Andy was the best host I’ve worked with on my many travels. Fast, professional, and friendly. We found lots of excellent fly fishing in the area. The only improvement I’d make is to have walking pavers to the hot tub. My pathetically sensitive feet struggled on the gravel. The house is clean, well appointed, and easy to use.

This waterfront property is wonderful! We spent many hours kayaking, SUPing, and swimming. There is a swim dock we paddled to, not far from the house. The hot tub was welcome on rainy days and after a full day on the lake. The owner is easy to communicate with & was immediately available if we had questions. We will be back for sure!

We stopped here for 3 nights on our way to Denali. The location is ideal - close to town, yet removed from the crowds. The house is very clean and minimal in decor, but still had everything we needed. Andy included some nice extras that made our stay very comfortable, including lots of towels and a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed watching ducks and planes on the lake, and even saw a moose and her calf wander through the driveway! Perfect little getaway for our foursome. Thanks so much!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. As a family that enjoys hanging out, cooking in and playing games it was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to prepare any type of meal with lots of spices and condiments available. We enjoyed watching the planes take off and land all week. Would highly recomend for a relaxing and peaceful retreat!

Great views, nice getaway
This is a lovely rental home, with lake views and access, plus a hot tub, good sound system/electronics and super comfortable beds. Kitchen is well stocked. We would have spent more time in it but we also wanted to explore Talkeetna. Communication with Andy was great.

Beautiful Lake House
The property was fantastic. We arrived slightly early and met Andy at the location. The house is beautiful and looks out over a lake. We used the canoe and paddleboards on the lake and we enjoyed watching the seaplanes taking off and landing on the far side of the lake. The hot tub was great in the evenings after our day trips around the area. The house had a very nice modern kitchen and a great entertainment system for movies at night. Andy had a book to explain how to work everything and he also provided a cell phone number if we needed anything, but everything was perfect. Andy even had coffee, breakfast bars and a nice bottle of wine setup at the house when we arrived. We rented three different houses during our time in Alaska and this house was definitely the nicest property. We will be back to this location again.

Staycation from ANC
Spent a lovely long weekend on the lake before kids head back to school. Worked a couple days on internet from the kitchen table with peaceful views. Property is at the end of the lake but you can paddle a few minutes to public use dock for swimming. Enjoying watching float planes landing out the windows too. Beautiful spot and we’ll be looking to come back to try it out in the winter!

Tranquility and Beauty
My wife and I wanted something special for our 25th wedding anniversary. While planning a trip to Alaska was part of it, we also wanted to stay somewhere special - and this property had it all. The location was ideal for our trips to Denali (as a side note we visited the park a couple of times and saw some great wildlife but you cannot see the mountain from the park. You get better views from downtown Talkeetna - when the weather cooperates!). But the best part was coming back to the beautiful home after a long day of exploring. Unwinding in the hot tub, relaxing on the deck listening to nature, or just staring out the window during breakfast was the tranquility we needed. A highlight was taking the canoe out on the water to watch the planes take-off/land. And communication/working with the owner couldn’t have been easier. Andy was communicative, flexible, and really went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. And we thoroughly did. Having this wonderful place to come back to after long days was just what we needed!

Most Amazing Stay Ever!
Amazing location on an almost private lake, with nothing but peace, beauty, and the ability to truly unplug. Home is gorgeous and comes with everything you can think of!! Loved paddle boarding on the lake, watching float planes take off and land, and play games with the family in the deck. Great run at XY trailhead just down the road. And Andy was available for any question before and during our stay! We will definitely be back for a longer stay!

Secluded getaway
Our stay at Andy’s place was absolutely wonderful! It’s super clean, smells good, and the location is superb. Even though there are other cabins on the lake, none of them are within view of the cabin which makes it perfect for a little secluded getaway. We were even able to watch a bald eagle that flew right over our heads and perched high in a tree right above while we were enjoying the hot tub. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Fabulous house by the lake!
We stayed at the house over the weekend and had a blast! Owner was very quick to respond and such a nice guy. Pros: insanely comfortable pillows & mattress, plenty of towels, private property, hot tub, and ability to connect your music to speakers. Cons: Wish there were stairs to hot tub or have it be located on deck. Wish we could have used the fire chimney inside. If you’re contracting out the cleaning, ask them to do deep cleans on areas like the fan. Overall, pleased with the stay and would recommend!

They ended up bedding down outside of our bedroom window and got to drink coffee and watch the little one run around and eat while mom watched and slept. The sound of the planes powering up to liftoff is something I will not forget and will miss. Would recommend to anyone headed to Talkeetna! Quick drive to downtown but far enough away from ALL the people. We look forward to coming back and bringing friends and family to share the experiences.

Fantastic place.
This was the perfect place for a quiet Alaskan setting. It's close to a cute little town and a grocery store nearby. Not much reason to leave the house though. It really has everything you need. We enjoyed the hot tub, went out on the lake in the canoe, watched planes land and had a fire to make some s'mores. Everything is very clean and nicely decorated. This really is the perfect spot!

Super nice place with all high end accoutrements
Probably a top-5 nicest place I've stayed in while travelling. Everything is topnotch: tv, sound system, coffee maker, fridge, dishwasher, oven, bathroom.
Loft space and 2 bedrooms perfect for 3 dudes, or 3 couples. All kinds of utensils and spices and food/drink for those looking to cook some fresh catches.
Host is incredibly responsive and helpful (also comes with fishing spots advice...he gave us a spot with kings and another TEEMING with pinks and rainbows). Even has multiple watercraft and a hot tub for use! Location is very secluded and beautiful. Wifi strong too.

Alaska Wilderness With Style!
This is a really great rental. Highly recommend this property. Great home. Great amenities. Beautiful and clean. I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed in this rental.
Superior host. Very accommodating, personable, available. You don't have to go through some property management 3rd person to ask a question. The owner reached out a few times prior to the stay to see if we had any concerns or questions and made it clear we could call, email or text him for any reason. We had not a single issue but it was nice to know he was available, if need be. Talkeetna is a very small town and we had the chance to meet the owner and he is a genuinely nice guy. We like to rent from individual locals rather than property managers or multi-unit owners.
If you want an Alaskan experience without it being too rustic...this is the place for you. There are lots of log cabins available in the area from quaint to primitive but they are not for everyone. There are no neighbors in site, just trees, lake, dock, wilderness. With this house you get rustic Alaska...but also black stainless steel appliances, luxury shower and a Sonos sound system. It's Alaska with style.
Specifics: The home is about 3.8 miles from downtown Talkeetna via road or bike. It is very private. It is located at the end of a float plain lake so we got to see float planes flying. [The owners Father offers float plane flights]. Don’t worry - the planes are not noisy. The house has an aviation theme, soothing grey walls & calming, uncrowded aesthetic; Wonderful double head shower with pebble floor [no tub]; No cable or satellite TV but Apple TV, wi-fi, DVD’s, games and books; Fully stocked kitchen and deck with BBQ grill and fire pit. The bathroom is nicely stocked with toiletries. A hot tub sits on the edge of the lake and has operating instructions attached [nice touch]. There are paddle boards, a canoe, outdoor picnic table, and oar powered pontoon boat available. The house offers a generous supply of towels, throws and blankets. The living room and both bedrooms have a ceiling fan. Every room had at least one electrical outlet with USB ports.
There are 2 non-intrusive security cameras on the property: one pointed toward the dock and the other showing the entry to the property. Neither camera is pointed at living areas, the hot tub or deck. There are no indoor cameras. There are no scary property management signs threatening fines if you flush the toilet wrong.
