I would come again but stay in a different room. I would recommend Holden House.

Facilities are very clean. Breakfasts were wonderful; tasty and just right size portions. One of the reasons I booked Holden House rather than anywhere else was because of the excellent reviews on your breakfasts. They were justified. Our room had everything we could want, including a teddy bear and a rubber ducky.

For us old people, having a room at the top of the stairs without a landing (in the Carriage House) was probably not the best, although we managed. The recliners were a nice touch but not the best on the back. While I slept fine in the bed, my husband thought that the bed bothered his back.

Fabulous experience. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Colorado Springs!

Can’t say enough about this B&B. Loved the welcoming staff, the beautiful accommodations, the delicious breakfast and wine social for guests. Every detail was considered and it was an exceptional stay for us. Would definitely recommend and we hope to return one day.

Step back in time and feel cared for

The home is stunning. The staff pays exceptional attention to details. We had the most divine breakfast each day. The wine hour each day brought us wonderful conversations with the other guests. It was a wonderful stay!

Breakfast both days was excellent. We were charmed by the details of the table settings, and sustained by the delicious food. Sharla and Eva were welcoming and very attentive. We totally enjoyed our stay with you. Also, excellent location.

The Holden House is an amazing colonial Victorian that has all the modern amenities but more so the exceptional sense of beauty that our ancestors possessed. Our room was very comfortable - we loved the fireplace, sitting area, and the bed!

First night was great! the staff was very kind and made us feel at home. such a cozy property.

Second night was slightly ruined (wedding getaway). the staff of the second night removed our bottle while we were away from the first floor fridge which isn’t a big deal other than they made no attempt to call us or leave a note saying where it was or if they took it. until the next morning at checkout expecting us to leave and drive with an open container. would’ve appreciated a bit more courtesy.

This is a great location for visiting Colorado & Manitou Springs. The staff were friendly and the breakfasts were awesome. We appreciated the variety and quality of the breakfasts - one day it was a sort of french toast and the next it was egg based. It was also fun to meet the other guests. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Beautiful place to stay!!

Great atmosphere, gorgeous old house with lovely (kinda kitschy but I loved it) interior touches. We had the upstairs suite in the carriage house - comfy, cozy, we had a great time! A 'communal' breakfast is served in the dining room; good food and fun chatting with other visitors.

Impressive and caring customer service at a prime location; we will visit again!

The location was perfect to access our conference at the Broadmoor, with free parking, fair prices, and proximity to local restaurants. The staff is excellent and extremely customer service oriented! We especially liked the main sitting area where we could visit with other guests.

While the furnishings and decor were quaint in keeping with the period, we felt it was a bit overdone, which made us somewhat uncomfortable. We don’t know anything about interior decorating, but a modern touch mixed in would have made us feel more at home.

Quiet, Restoring and Relaxing

We were looking for a quiet weekend location to restore and relax, we stayed on the 2nd Floor in the Rose House, next door to the main house-the Pikes Peak Suite. It is a suite, bedroom, private bath, sitting area, and small kitchenette. Lovely balcony. The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. Parking behind the Rose house was convenient, and we were only a couple of miles away from Old Colorado City which has restaurants and shops. Took the Cog Train for the view from Pike's Peak.

Unexpected charm and gracious service will guarantee our return.

Just Wow! Great staff, great food, great location. Everything was so just so well done and yet there was no pretentiousness. It was great to meet other people too and the wine hours were super for that. We sat on the porch and really enjoyed the short visits with other guests.

Given that this is an old house with lots of nuances, there is very little that could be made better. The bed could have been bigger and maybe flatter, but really hard to rate as this place is just perfect as it is.

The breakfast was amazing, but the happy hour was above and beyond- good wine and tasty appetizers in a warm setting. Good location and near some fun restaurants.

The innkeepers made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our time in Colorado.

The breakfast was amazing. Both the romance package and the breakfast in the main house. The innkeepers were exceptional! Location was perfect since there are a lot of things to do nearby. We loved the aesthetic of our room and the main house.
