Goldenstern Townhouse in Bolzano is a charming and unique place to stay. Nestled in the heart of the old town, the location couldn’t be better for exploring the city’s rich history and culture. The rustic decor of the townhouse adds to the immersive experience of staying in such a historic area. The rooms are well-appointed, blending modern amenities with traditional aesthetics, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay.

The absence of a lift is a small price to pay for the authentic experience and the excellent service provided by the staff.

Manque de communication et optimisation de la part de l’hôtel pour les chambres

- l’emplacement du lieu en ne prenant pas en compte le parking à payer en supplément.

- le parking n’étant pas propre à l’hôtel, il faut prendre en compte un budget assez conséquent. Nous n’avons pas eu l’information que l’hôtel avait un prix fixe pour 24 heures de 18 euros. Nous en avons eu pour très cher pour la première nuit. - la climatisation qui est imposée et on ne peut choisir la température souhaitée - pas de frigo dans la chambre… au lieu de cela une cave à vin.

Good stay!!

We really liked our stay, our room was little but nice. the breakfast is also nice.

They provided only 1 still water in the mini fridge and 1 sparkling water, I would recommend to include more water. Also, the parking area (it comes with a charge of 15 EUR) is a little far from the hotel (around 500 meters) and if you have a lot of luggage, it is hard.

Stunning building with modern facilities. Very friendly & attentive staff they made our stay very enjoyable

Very unique property every room was different. The attention to detail for the decor was incredible. Very historic building with modern facilities. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were very attentive. We had a slight problem with our air conditioning unit but it was dealt with immediately.

Ich habe mich gerade wohl gefühlt im Hotel in auch im Zimmer.

Sehr zentral gelegen. Der neue Style des Hauses, die Verbindung von alt und neu. Das Frühstück war qualitativ sehr gut und auch regionale Produkte wurden angeboten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Den Kaffee habe ich in Italien aber schon besser getrunken.

Hübsch anzuschauen, jedoch nicht zweckmäßig

Wer Treppensteigen mag, ist hier genau richtig. Ehemalige Wohnhäuser wurden zur Touristenbleibe umfunktioniert.

Hälfte des Zimmers durch niedrige Deckenhöhe unbrauchbar. Hatte zum Glück meinen Fahrradhelm dabei. Toilettenfenster führt ins Treppenhaus.

Zentral für Rucksack Touristen oder mit kleinem Gepäck geeignet

Anfahrt durch Fußgängerzone teilweise kompliziert. Schweres Gepäck ist aufgrund der engen Treppen auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen.

Ho adorato la struttura arredata con equilibrio e buon gusto. Un contesto storico e signorile con le comodità odierne. Estrema precisione del personale nel rassettare la camera. Ottima pulizia degli ambienti.

Bolzano è bellissima e alloggiare in centro storico ne vale la pena

Il palazzo antico ben ristrutturato in pieno centro storico è bellissimo, la camera era ampia, ben arredata, con le travi in legno, calda, accogliente e silenziosa, le divertenti scale “di Escher” per spostarsi da un’ala all’altra del palazzo, la sala colazione con gli stucchi sul soffitto molto bella e la terrazza panoramica sul tetto.

Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr schönes kleines Hotel mit Charakter, trotzdem sehr modern ausgestattete. Super zentral über den Dächern der Lauben, besser geht es nicht.

Das Haus ist sehr hellhörig man sollte sich aber nicht abschrecken lassen. Wer da empfindlich ist bitte Ohrstöpsel mit einpacken.

Stunning hotel in the middle of Bolzano. The location cannot be beat. Their attention to detail is A+.

Stunning property, clean, excellent location

We stayed in room 10, which was absolutely stunning. If you stay in room 10 you have to be prepared to climb many flights of stairs to get to & from the room. It is secluded & quiet!

Most beautiful place - love!

Everything! The space, the interior design, the staff, the bed, the restaurant, the breakfast … This was seriously a surprise gem and we wished we could stay longer. We felt like we’d hit the jackpot! Just loved it and will be back again for sure. Thank you so much!!

perfect other than AC issue. I would go again but request a different room

the age of the building complete with original 600 yr old frescoes, the breakfast, it was central to old town just a short walk from the safe parking and or train station.

the air conditioning in room 2 is really poor. they know it but haven’t found a solution yet. we had two sleepless nights. otherwise everything was perfect. the hosts did offer a different room for the second night. the first night we didn’t have it on so our fault so gave it another chance but wasn’t any better when on!

Stay here when in Bolzano!!!

This was an amazing place to stay, not only in Bolzano, but in all our years of travel. Not your typical hotel, but a historic building with amazing rooms.. I cannot recommend this place more highly!!! Thank you for an incredible stay!

Very good

Beautiful apartment with wonderful terraces! Great shower, comfortable beds, and pleasant modern decor. The apartment is very spacious. One thing to note, the second bedroom doesn't have a door to separate it from the living room with sofa bed.

We were in Bolzano for my daughter's graduation. On the day of her presentation, workers needed to access the roof through our apartment for most of the day.The crew was very professional and careful as they did their work, but it added stress to an already hectic day.

Nice guesthouse although dreadfully mis-managed. Left feeling ripped off!

location is great. beautifully renovated old building. good breakfast. very clean.

we booked a deluxe apartment with kitchen and were given a double room with no facilities ( no table, chairs, couch, kitchen ) just a room with a bed in it & a bathroom. we werent told about this prior to arrival even though we had it booked 10 months in advance, the room rate was not reduced accordingly, we were offered breakfast included instead. we werent informed that you needed an extra ticket to get the reduced rate at the carpark ( which is further away than advertised) therefore we had to pay full price of 22euros instead of 18 euros ( per day ) the cleaner removed the card for the electricity so on returning to the room at 7pm on New Years Eve we were told that we were ‘lucky’ that someone wAs still there to get us another one. Not a great experience at this hotel, left feeling very disappointed. we were mis sold this overpriced room. If the staff were managed correctly then one might know what the other was doing.

Great little property in the center of it all!

The location and staff were exceptional. The B&B is in literally steps away from the shopping area. Plenty of dining choices nearby and an open air market right around the corner. It is a 10 minute walk to either the train station or the cable car to Oberbozen. Ana checked us in and helped us a great deal including getting our Sudtirol Mobil pass ready for us to explore the region during our stay. The breakfast was very good but we stayed in one of the apartments with a kitchen and bought groceries from the market for our breakfasts. Housekeeping refreshed the room daily and left towels and duvets folded artistically each day.

We weren't fully aware of the stairs accessing the property. While the apartment provided nice views, 4 flights of stairs were hard on our older knees. The mattress was a little uncomfortable and it seemed to tilt lower on the head end.

Gorgeous modern take on tirol tradition

This hotel is an absolute charming mixture of old and new. They have played with the architecture, so traditional frescos, stones, iron work, and furnishing are styled in sleek modern ways. The amenities are fantastic. Rooms warm and spacious with comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. The rooftop terrace has a lovely view over the old city and surrounding mountains. Breakfast was delicious. I’m already planning to come back!

The only thing I could possibly mention is that it would have been great to schedule the sauna ahead of time. That’s just a tiny thing.
