Apartment located in the historic center of Funchal, a few minutes walk from the city center, just below Forte do Pico.
House recently restored and transformed into two independent T1 apartments.
It presents a modern design, very comfortable and welcoming, with a magnificent view over the bay of Funchal, making it possible, at the New Year's Eve party, to watch and enjoy the fantastic firework display on the common terrace of the building (2 apartments) .
Consisting of a spacious bedroom (double bed) with complete private bathroom, a cozy living room with a sofa bed (2 people) and a fully equipped kitchen.
It has a private garage for one car (parking B), without any additional cost.
Excellent geographical location, close to the access to highways, so you can move around the island and enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes, and very close to the historic center of Funchal, and you can even get around on foot.
Wi-Fi is free.

We stayed there for 4 days only but it was great.the location the view was very nice. It was great to sit on evening after all day hiking and just relax and watch the town from the top as qell as big ships coming and going from port. Thank You for all service. Amazing place!

The apartment itself was lovely…very clean and tastefully decorated, and it met almost all of my needs. Finding and getting to the apartment was insane. The only way to get to it is to drive up a narrow one way street/hill the WRONG way. And the hill is so steep it’s like being on a roller coaster. Once you make it up the hill, you drive along a very narrow alleyway to get to the apartment and garage. The rental car I was in sustained damage from scraping the cement wall opposite the garage. If you stay here and rent a car, do yourself a favor and get the smallest one you can. The apartment also has no air conditioning or window screens. It is close enough to the harbor/town that you can walk, but beware of those hills coming home! Judite was lovely and responsive. I only wish she had been more proactive in giving me directions to the apartment, knowing I was driving a rental from the airport.

The apartment was very spacious
The view is really marvelous and we loved staying on the terrace resting after are walking around. The area is very quite no noises at all.
It takes 15 minutes to walk downtown

Nice apartment…. Everything nice and clean and comfortable. Would have been nice to have Air conditioning as we did struggle to sleep at night…
We are fairly fit 60 year olds and managed to walk up and down the very step road twice a day sometimes 3 times.

Very clean, and well setup apartment. Great views, and location is good to. Don't let other reviewers scare you about the hills. Yes, it's hilly, all of Madeira is hilly, but taxis will take you up to the apartment. We stopped our taxis at the cudesac below just to save them the hassle. The apartment is only 100 feet up the road. Downlaod the Bolt Taxi app, and you'll be happy.

Nice apartment but all taxi drivers could not climb the steep road so I had to walk. The neighbourhood is a little bit freightening but I managed as 40+ year old fit male. I will not cone here when I will be 50+.

Lovely patio, up a series of very steep hills. Best suited for a couple, as the bathroom is inside the bedroom.

Excellent séjour dans cette maison
Maison agréable et spacieuse, bien placée pour visiter le centre-ville de Funchal, bénéficiant d'une vue exceptionnelle sur l'océan. La propreté et la décoration sont excellentes. Notre interlocutrice Judith était très réactive pour répondre à nos questions.
Si vous avez une voiture, vous bénéficierez en plus d'une des 2 places de parking du garage de la maison.: choisissez une voiture la plus petite possible (mais puissante pour les trajets en montagne) car il y a une montée très étroite et l'accès au garage n'est pas facile. Mais vous n'aurez pas de problème de parking, ce qui est appréciable à Funchal !

Very clean comfortable property and very central for town. Views are amazing and enjoyed watching the cruise ships arriving. Quite a steep hill to climb but this you get used to climbing!!
Would definitely recommend this apartment and when we return we would stay here in the future.

Lovely spot
Great place to stay. We had a car and managed to get it into the garage but only because the other visitors did not have one. I think trying to fit 2 cars in would be tight. Otherwise really good place to stay. Very friendly owner.

Great views
The apartment is lovely and very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Wonderful views from the lounge and terrace of Funchal and its harbour area with the sea beyond. The only drawback of the apartment is the approach road which is really steep and narrow and our car struggled to get up the slope. The garage is very difficult to drive in and out of due to the tight turning circle. It was so nerve racking we only tried it once and parked elsewhere for the rest of the stay.

Top-Lage und -Wohnung, schwierige Auto-Situation
Die Wohung ist ein Traum, inklusive Ausstattung und Ausblick.
Was allerdings wörtlich genommen werden sollte, sind die zahlreichen Hinweise auf die schwierige Zugänglichkeit per Auto. Wer von typisch deutschen Straßenverhältnissen ausgeht, sollte sehr souverän bei extrem schmalen und extrem steilen Gässchen fahren können - und auf jeden Fall das kleinste mietbare Auto nehmen. Wer mit dem ÖPNV unterwegs (und gut zu Fuß) ist, hat eine ideale Wohnung. Sie liegt traumhaft im Zentrum und doch extrem ruhig.
Die Wohnung ist hochwertig ausgebaut (offensichtlich erst vor Kurzem), geschmackvoll und zurückhaltend eingerichtet, gut ausgestattet und hat einen phänomenalen Blick - bei gutem Wetter kann man von der Terrasse auf Funchal und den Hafen blicken.
Der Kontakt mit Judite ist unkompliziert und direkt, sie ist, wenn notwendig, unterstützend - das war in unserem Fall nicht nötig.

Schöne Wohnung mit toller Aussicht in spezieller Lage
Die Anfahrt ist etwas schwierig da es sich um eine sehr schmale Strasse handelt. Grösser als ein Clio / Golf sollte der Mietwagen besser nicht sein. Gut ist das es eine Garage gibt, da es sonst nicht möglich wäre in der Nähe zu parken. Die Küche ist mit dem Notwendigsten ausgestattet und es ist sauber. Es gibt auch eine Waschmaschine und einen Wäscheständer. Schade ist das es keine gemütliche Beleuchtung gibt im Wohnzimmer und in der Küche. Nur LED Panele an der Decke. Das Bett und das Sofa sind gut. Nur die Decke war uns zu dünn / kalt. Es ist relativ ruhig und man ist direkt in der Stadt. Aber man sollte gut zu Fuss sein da es dort überall sehr steil ist. Der Wasserdruck ist etwas schwach und die Toilettenspülung könnte besser funktionieren. Sehr gut hat uns der Balkon gefallen und die Aussicht. Wir haben uns bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten sehr wohl gefühlt.

Enjoyable stay
I had a really nice getaway week. Communication with Judite was very helpful and always quick in response. The check-in and check-out procedures couldn't have been easier, with quick alignment especially of arrival times so Rui was there to let me in and show me around the essentials. The apartment was nice, spacious, modern and clean, the kitchen had everything I needed. I was lucky the neighbouring flat wasn't let so I had also the outdoor space to myself (wasn't so clear from the description that this is shared, though with distinct areas per apartment), with a sweeping view over city and harbour which could also be enjoyed from the large living room window. Yes, the street is narrow and has steep parts, but I have seen worse in Italy, and it is manageable with some courage and practice. It did help though that I insisted on the requested Fiat 500 instead of the upgrade 4wd Jeep they offered me at the car rental agency. Everything in Funchal centre conveniently is within walking distance. The grocery store is a 10min walk away, better bring a rucksack to lug your shoppings back up the hill. Thank you Judite and Rui, I will definitely stay again next time!

nette Vermieter, gute Kommunikation, Wohnung sehr sauber. Bad schlecht zu lüften, durch sein Fenster kommt nur schlechte Luft, Bidet toll jedoch nicht zu nutzen, weil Ablauf verschlossen. Küche alles ok, ebenso Schlafzimmer und Wohnzimmer
Garageneinfahrt eng, Auffahrt sehr steil und in Kurve, ging mit Fiat 500C nur mit Anlauf, jededmal mit Hoffen und Bangen, immer ein Abenteuer. 50 KW reichen eben kaum. Trotzdem ist die Wohnung zu empfehlen, waren schöne 14 Tage in Funchal und auf Madeira.

Great views
This location provides a great panoramic view of the city and sea. Also a short walk to tons of restaurants, (yes it is an uphill walk home, but don't come to Madeira if you don't want to do some hill climbing). The apartment has good indoor and outdoor spaces. The house is well equiped, but could use a fan
If you have a car there is a garage but it is a narrow and very steep road, is a challenge.

Schöner Aufenthalt mit fantastischem Blick von der Terrasse und dem Wohnzimmer über Funchal
Unkomplizierter check-in / -out. Küche ist vollständig und gut ausgestattet, Wohnzimmer ist gemütlich eingerichtet.
Wegen der engen und steilen Zufahrtstrasse empfiehlt sich ein möglichst kleines Mietauto! Die Garage ist goldwert, weil es in der weiteren Umgebung kaum kostenfreie Parkplätze gibt.
Fussweg bis Funchal City oder Supermarkt: ca. 10 Minuten
Uns hat es gut gefallen! Wir würden wieder buchen.

Nice flat in a perfect position
We spent two weeks in this flat, and had a very good time. The house is very near to the town center, with a wonderful view over the harbor. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Funchal is very hilly, with steep roads all over, so we had good exercise every day going home to the apartment . We recommend this place!

Simply marvellous
The contact with Judite was very simple. She did almost everything to keep us informed an happy.
The appartment was very clean with a wonderful bathroom.
The kitchen offered everything someone needs. Toaster, mircowave, coffeemachine, sandwich maker, oven, 4 cooking plates, fridge plus freezer...I am sure that I forgot something. Everything was cool. The terrace offers a wonderful seaview an we enjoyed the look to daily changing cruiseships and the panoramaview over Funchal.
The neighbourhood was quiet especially at nights.
I will leave the writing about Funchal and Madeira to others.
But we will definitely return soon. This island is our favorite spot in the world.

Das Appartement ist einfach nur perfekt. Sehr gemütlich für 2-3 Personen. Es war alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Garage und Straße zur Wohnung wirklich sehr eng daher unbedingt kleines Mietauto mieten.

Gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung inkl. der Küche mit traumhaften Blick über Funchal. Unser gemieteter Fiat Punto passte gerade so in die Garage, Anfahrt war mit seinen 50 PS wegen der steilen Straße ein kleines Abenteuer.

Très bien situé, 5 minutes à pied du centre Funchal.
Appartement bien équipé. Bien situé et au calme. Y avons passé 17 jours super pour randonner dans le secteur. N'avons pas loué de voiture et avons circulé en bus. Attention la route menant au garage est très étroite et très pentue. Nous recommandons cet appartement et si nous revenons sur Madère , nous le réserverons sûrement.

Schöne Wohnung mitten in Funchal
Die Vermieter sind sehr locker, unkompliziert und nett. Die Wohnung ist ideal für Leute, die gut zu Fuss sind und keine Probleme haben, den eigentlich kurzen aber steilen Weg in die Stadt zu machen und sich auch mit einem Mietwagen (der am Besten klein und ein Diesel sein sollte) in den sehr engen Gassen der Auffahrt und der Garage im Haus zu manövrieren. Wir würden jederzeit bei einem nächsten Besuch von Madeira gerne wieder hier wohnen.
