About this house rental
Welcome to the ultimate Lake House that is beautifully situated in a quiet cove right off the ski area with a very gentle walk to your covered boat dock. Every year I put money back into the property and this year was a BIG investment with appliance, stone fire pit, and 240 feet of shoreline cleaned up with new riprap. Last year we replaced the Hvac system, added a queen bed, and new mattresses all thru. We work for your 5 Stars!
An open slip in the dock for your boat with room for more boats on the outside if your coming for fishing tournaments. Also a great location close to Shawnee Forest for Hunting Season.
We are just 10 minutes off I-57, 10 minutes from a grocery store or gas station, 10 minutes from two marinas, 10 minutes from pizza and bbq or fish, and 5 minutes from a liquor store.
Gorgeous updated kitchen has it all and is open to the living and dining areas. A large wall of windows offers you fantastic lake views and a slider to the large deck. For those who need a one level getaway, there is a bedroom and a full bath on the main floor with a wheel chair ramp from the driveway to the deck.
The upstairs and downstairs family rooms have flat screens with wifi internet throughout the house. And a wifi printer in the downstairs office if you need to do some work, print restaurant menus, print maps, or to print out general information about all the things to do in the area like wine tasting or zip-line.
In addition to the upstairs bedroom, the Master Bedroom is just down the stairs in the lower level with a queen bed and queen futon for added sleep space. Downstairs has 2 more bedrooms with a queen in one and 2 twins in the other.
The full kitchen is stocked with flour, sugar, cornmeal, salt/pepper, spices and so much more including coffee, tea, and creamer by the Keurig machine that is complimentary. All brand new kitchen appliances. The bathrooms have standard supplies like bodywash, shampoo, conditioner in the tub and shower, towels, face pads, q-tips, and more. There are many more amenities provided so booked your getaway.
New linens, pillows, and I continue to invest in updates with every guest stay so when you rebook your next trip with us you will enjoy even more.
I practically live in hotels and want this to be as comfortable and easy for you to get away as possible. I want and expect to offer you the same experience as I do when I check into my Hilton, Marriott, or Crowne Plaza.
The only difference is this is a home. And this home comes with a large deck that has 2 patio sets that seats 6 each and a view I rarely get from my hotels; birds flying all around, gas and charcoal grills, a place to build a bonfire, a large covered dock and lots of inflatables to jump in the bathwater lake to hangout in all day with a rechargeable Bluetooth speaker you can move with you.
Kayaks, paddle boards, large stone fire pit below the deck just added with 10 Adirondack chairs and 5 side tables.
New large gas grill and a charcoal grill with propane and charcoal provided.
I limit the stays every year so book early. So much more to this place than I can describe so feel free to inquire with any questions!

Very special home. Honored to have a chance to stay. Perfect location with very comfortable accommodations. Lots a room for the family. Open slip for a boat with great fishing right off the dock. We caught Bass, Crappie, Bluegill and Catfish. The lake was beautiful, Spent 5 days floating around, exploring every part of the lake. Can’t wait to go back. Great home!

Perfect location for enjoying a few days with family and 2024 total eclipse. The home is a great summer playground on Lake of Egypt. Since we were here in April we were not able to take advantage of all the lake toys supplied. Would love to return in summer. Kitchen well stocked. Outstanding 6 burner grill for large groups. Overall, a great experience!

This is a wonderful home on a peaceful cove in the heart of a national forest. Nature was outside but never came inside this super clean home. Amazing! The thoughtful amentities could never be fully listed by Trey because they are too numerous. We loved the lake, paddle boards, docks, firepit, deck, beds and pillows. Internet service was outstanding and kept our family of 5 fully connected for personal and work needs!! The quirky layout of the lower level added to the charm and the 2nd surprising frig downstairs came in handy for beverage storage. Thank you Trey for sharing this home with us. If we are ever taking a trip to southern IL in the future we will absolutely select your home again. We miss it already!

We visited this wonderful vacation home with our college-aged kids, and we loved it! It is right on the water with beautiful views, and an easy walk to the lake. The host provided everything you can imagine; truly this was the most well-stocked vacation home I've seen. The host was super available and helpful too. The home was comfy and welcoming and we enjoyed being there when we were not enjoying the lake. We are making this trip a yearly event and we all agreed we would love to come back to this home.

Long-term adult friend group with kids ranging from 10-16; we all LOVED it. On the water, beautiful deck and dock, large fire pit, swimming off the end with sandy/mossy bottom, great fishing/paddle boarding, with many supplies present. Bait shop about 10-mins away and the marina had a nice adult bar area and game room/pool table. Lots of opportunity to see wildlife and enjoy the blanket of quiet nature each morning. Kitchen was highly stocked, including a second frig in the basement. The beds were comfortable with lots of nice pillows. Lots of high end products from cleaning supplies to shower/bath products. Gas and charcoal grills were available! We plan to return:)

The home was very well stocked and clean. The setting is beautiful and the view from the deck is beautiful. There is also a very nice sitting area around a fire pit that my family enjoyed very much. Several members of my family also got on the water using the paddle boards there. We didn't want to leave. We really enjoyed the house which has some unique features. It was a wonderful getaway.
A note I do want to make: The driveway to the house is steeper than I though. Also, I booked it originally with the idea of taking my wheelchair bound husband, thinking it was wheelchair accessible from the parking area, but the ramp that is there would not have worked for him. The ramp has no railing and is too steep to take a 200 lb, 6' 3" man up. So that is a little misleading. Plus you have to go over rock to get to the ramp. My husband ended up not being able to go anyway, so it turned out fine for us.
Overall, we loved the trip and would go back again!

The place is awesome! The location on the lake is perfect, it's the best stocked kitchen of any VRBO I've ever stayed, and all the extra water toys were just icing on the cake. Trey was quick to respond to any questions we had and couldn't of been nicer. I would recommend this place to anybody looking to have a relaxing time on Lake of Egypt!

Have rented a property about once a year for the last 10 years or so and this is the best experience of them all. Trey is a fantastic host. Not just responsive but proactive. The property is great. My family has many cooks and the kitchen exceeded our expectations. The only thing we had to improvise was a lemon zester. Comfy beds, great linens, even the air mattresses were first quality. Would rent again in a minute next time I am in the area.

The lake house is peaceful and so relaxing. It is very clean and roomy. There are a ton of amenities. Everything you can think of which is so nice. My family of 5 adults & 3 children had a wonderful week. Went by too fast. Children loved swimming every day in lake. Went hiking at beautiful state park which is so close to house. Plan on a return vacation next year.

One Word...OUTSTANDING!
The house & property are both in wonderful shape- very clean & organized. Our family of 6 had a wonderful time! If I could give this property & owner more than 5 stars I would. Comfy beds, luxurious bedding & towels, all toiletries/amenities furnished, a well-furnished & stocked kitchen, a stocked pantry with spices & foods that can be used, use of water toys & the lake sitting on a quiet cove right outside the back door. We fished from the boat dock, played in the cove & watched the abundance of birds & deer from the patio. It was one of the most relaxing family getaways we have ever had. I highly recommend staying here, you will not regret it! Thanks Trey. Like I said, when we can get all of our kids schedules to match ours, we will definitely be back. Thanks again, Larry & Cathy Cimarolli. Oh, and my husband fell in love with your grill :)

Peaceful getaway with plenty to do!
This was our first time at Lake of Egypt and I'm so glad we chose Trey's Eagle Point Hideaway! The home had everything we needed and more. Trey was great to work with and more than accommodating for us. We enjoyed just playing in the lake most of the time, and my 8 year old nieces new favorite hobby? Fishing! Never would we have guessed. The kids caught plenty of fish right off the dock. Thanks again Trey, and can't wait to come back!

Everything about this property was excellent. Cleanliness and the supplied furnishings and supplies including everyday grocery items were very extensive. Owner was excellent to work with and gave immediate answers to any questions. We will definitely rent this same unit in the future. We swam right off the dock and kept our boat in the covered dock space.

Everything about this property was excellent. Cleanliness and the supplied furnishings and supplies including everyday grocery items were very extensive. Owner was excellent to work with and gave immediate answers to any questions. We will definitely rent this same unit in the future.
